Smoant Pasito vs. GeekVape Frenzy Intro
The GeekVape Frenzy has been our go-to refillable pod system currently available on the market, beating out many of its peers in our versus section.
The Frenzy comes with an internal 950mAh battery and utilizes replaceable coils, offering DTL with a 0.8ohm mesh coil and MTL with a 1.2ohm SS316 coil.
The Geekvape AS Micro chipset delivers both Power & TC modes, and the Frenzy provides excellent performance in both.
The Smoant Pasito is the new pretender to the thrown. It has an extra trick up its sleeve with the ability to use your own coils using it’s purposefully made RBA section.
The Pasito comes with a 1100mAh internal battery utilizing Smoant’s Ant constant-output chip and comes with a 0.6ohm DTL mesh coil and 1.4ohm ni80 MTL coil.
The Smoant Pasito has a 3ml capacity (2ml in EU) and has a simple top fill system and airflow adjusting switch.

Verdict
The Smoant Pasito does have an excellent design and is quite possibly more unique in its design than some other Orion-like pod systems on the market.
It’s taller and slender than the Frenzy. Its design seems to be somewhat dictated by the clever pod design that Smoant has implemented to accommodate replaceable coils or an RBA section.
However, when it comes to build quality, the Pasito just feels a little cheap and quite plasticky compared to the excellent GeekVape Frenzy.
That being said, the lightweight frame of the Pasito make it exceptionally pocketable even though it is a slightly larger device.
We are going to give the design section to the Frenzy, but call it a draw when it comes to portability. The Frenzy is a smaller device, but that added weight (from the solid build materials) is noticeable.
The Smoant Pasito has the Frenzy beat when it comes to juice capacity, as it offers a 3ml capacity pod (2ml in the EU) compared to the Frenzy’s 2ml pod.
We’ve raved about the Frenzy’s features for a pod system; with its adjustable wattage, and automatic TC switching with the SS316 MTL coil – But the Pasito gives it a run for its money and more!
The Smoant Pasito has an excellent LED power gauge implementation, with 5 lights. This not only helps to get a more granular look at your battery status but is also used to view your power setting, of which there are also 5.
Yes, the Pasito has 5 power settings ranging from; 10W, 13W, 16W, 20W and 25W. It also has a designated power button to adjust this setting or see the current status.
The most significant feature of the Pasito is the fact you can use an RBA section (which unfortunately doesn’t come with the kit) to use your own coils. While it is not the easiest to build on, it’s an excellent feature and helps deliver an exceptional vape.
The Pasito also implements a USB-C charge port for it’s 1100mAh battery. While it doesn’t offer superfast charging, it’s still a welcome inclusion and charges rapidly enough.
With regards to battery life, the Pasito definitely wins with its superior capacity, and ability to control the power of the device better, especially when using your own coils.
The Smoant Pasito also offers an easy top-fill system by unscrewing the drip-tip, which is far easier to use than the Frenzy where you have to remove the pod and fill from the bottom.
When it comes to performance, they both have their positives. They deliver excellent vapes with the pre-built coils in both DTL and MTL modes.
We’d say the Frenzy just pips it on flavor, and is a little better for MTL vaping. That’s not to say the Pasito is bad, it’s not, but unfortunately, the airflow is a tad on the loose side.
This is because the airflow switch on the Pasito doesn’t seem to give you as much control as the dial on the Frenzy, which can help produce a really tight MTL draw.
However, with the use of the RBA section on the Pasito, you can get a really tight MTL draw.
This is where the Pasito comes into its own when you use the RBA section. In fact, with the right MTL coil installed, it produces an unparalleled vape from a pod system – it is exceptional.
However, we are going to call the performance section a draw. This is because not everybody will want to use an RBA section, and it’s not actually included in the kit!
Both the Frenzy and Pasito are unbelievably affordable and come in at similar prices. They also offer excellent value for money with replaceable coils. However, the fact you can buy an RBA section for the Pasito does make it more cost-effective in the long run.
If you are a vaper looking to use stock coils and are undecided between these two devices, we don’t think you can go wrong with either.
