Advken Manta MTL RTA Intro
The Manta has been one of the most popular rebuildable tanks of the year and Advken has decided to give it a makeover. Visually the new Manta MTL RTA looks the same, the changes come in the form of a tighter airflow and a deck that allows for single coil builds.
What Is it?
The Manta is a 24mm rebuildable tank atomizer (RTA) with a threaded top-fill system and large kidney-shaped fill ports, it has a 3mL maximum capacity with bubble glass. Which is not bad for a single-coil mouth to lung device, although it’s down to 2mL for the TPD compliant European edition.
Advken have opted for the more appropriate mouthpiece with the 510-style Ultem drip tip sporting the Manta logo. They have kept the bottom airflow system this time providing a much tighter draw more suited to MTL vaping or restrictive lung hits.
Who is it for?
Vapers who run at lower power, with higher coil resistance and generally use e-liquid higher in nicotine or nic salt e-juice. Mouth to Lung vapers who need a strong nicotine hit.

The original Advken Manta RTA was more suited at Direct to Lung (DTL) vapers who want a more open airflow, use low nicotine and use higher VG e-Liquids who are essentially sub-ohm vapers.
So this is a significant change to the tank design and target market and therefore not a replacement for the Manta. The new design changes consist of a more restricted airflow a smaller drip tip and a single coil build deck and side airflow intake all helping to mimic the feel of smoking.
Advken is therefore just taking a popular tank that has done well in the market and is aiming to provide an alternative to cater more towards ex-smokers, a market that has been dominated by the Siren 2.
Advken has not released any images of the build deck yet, a new trend we are seeing as some manufacturers have suffered from being open. Advken has told us that the deck posts will feature side-air intake holes to enhance flavor and the deck will be made of vacuum-plated gold.
The original Manta used a modified Velocity-style deck and the Manta MTL will probably have a system similar to the Merlin MTL, a single-coil RTA which also has a side-air intake system.
The Manta has good looks a decent capacity with an easy top-fill and is single coil compatible. If its as popular as the original with a good price point then the Manta MTL RTA could be a winning formula for Advken if it delivers the flavor of the original.
