The Aquios Bar is a unique disposable vape that is better for the environment and potentially your throat.

Each Aquios Bar comes with an internal 450mAh battery, a 1.1Ω Nichrome mesh coil, 2ml of e-liquid (20mg nic salt), and can deliver up to 600 puffs.

Design & Style

Firstly, I have to commend Aquios Labs and Innokin for teaming up and creating a disposable that addresses many issues we’ve often commented on with disposable vapes.

We covered many of the issues with disposables and the environment in our article The rise of disposables – should we be concerned?

Innokin is one of the few vape brands that take its environmental responsibilities seriously, and this collaboration takes things even further.

Aquios Labs are also pushing the boundaries, and using 30% water-based e-liquid also seems like a positive step. It also delivers a unique and clean vape experience that we’ll cover in more detail later.

The Aquios Bar disposable device has a main body primarily made of paper, with a rubber mouthpiece and base.

You might think it would make it feel cheap and flimsy in the hand compared to other disposables. However, they still feel great.

This is largely down to the matte paper sticker around the body, which is soft to the touch. It makes the whole device feel like a crayon in the hand.

Aquios has also gone down that route with the styling of the body. Again, they look clean and light but still aesthetically pleasing with pastel colors.

All the necessary information is neatly printed on the body of the device. It’s easy to see the flavor profile, and the branding is clean and not too intrusive.

The rubber mouthpiece is also extremely comfortable and soft on the lips. I hope more companies start adopting this style of mouthpiece for disposables as I think it’s better than hard plastic ones.

Obviously, the fact that the Aquios Bar is 100 recyclable is fantastic. But don’t think it’s just a sales gimmick. This disposable is very cleverly engineered and still has excellent build quality. I just hope more vape companies take note and start following suit.

Flavors

Blueberry Bubble Gum

A lovely smooth and authentic Blueberry, which is the prominent flavor and the only one present on the inhale. Then as you go through the vape, a bubble gum background starts to appear and is more present on the exhale. It’s smooth, saturated, and easily an all-day vape.

Tropical Fruit Ice

A mellow but delicious tropical fruit blend. It’s hard to pick out individual flavors, but there’s some sweet pineapple in there. It is such a clean and refreshing-tasting vape that’s not overly sweet or flooded with a cooling agent. Just a delicious and mellow tropical vape.

Peach Ice

A sweet natural tasting Peach, that’s got some real depth to it. As with all of these Aquios flavors, it just feels so saturated and clean. There’s no artificial taste and no overpowering sweetness. Just pure joy to vape all day long.

Mango Passion Ice

This has a perfect balance between the Mango and Passion Fruit. On the inhale, you get that thick natural tasting Mango, and lifting the whole vape is the sweet accent of sumptuous Passion Fruit. Another super clean and moreish flavor.

Sour Apple

I’m not sure how they’ve managed it with this one, but there is such a good balance between the sweet and sourness of the Apple. Again it’s so natural and authentic tasting, perfectly balanced, and very moist and saturated all the way through the vape. Delicious Apple goodness.

Sunrise Ice

A blended fruit mix that has Mango as the prominent flavor. There’s such a real depth to it, with some sweet citrus tones coming through. Just like the others in this range, it’s not a super punchy flavor. It’s just perfectly sweet and mellow with an unmistakable pure flavor.

Performance & Verdict

Wow…I’m lost for words! All I can say is water-based vaping certainly has arrived and arrived in impressive fashion!

It’s hard to impress upon you the vape experience you get from these Aquios disposables compared to regular disposable vapes.

They are not in-your-face punchy with flavor, but they have such a clean and saturated taste to them. It’s unlike anything else I’ve vaped, and it’s exactly what I’ve been waiting for with an all-day disposable.

I remember when ceramic coils were becoming the rage and were described as providing a cleaner taste. However, the big issue was that they always had a dry taste to them.

The water-based e-liquid used in these disposables just ticks every box for me. It’s moist and saturated while maintaining that clean and crisp flavoring.

It also makes them a far more mellow vape and something you can chug on all day long. So often, other disposable flavors feel far too artificial and are coated in sweetener to pump up the flavor impact.

Let’s not forget many vapers find PG can be too harsh on their throat or may even be allergic to too much of it. This excellent creation of 30% water-based e-liquid from Aquios Labs certainly addresses that issue.

It also addresses the issue of becoming overly dehydrated from vaping too much. You just don’t feel as dry in the mouth with these Aquios Bars.

Of course, if you are someone that enjoys that harsh throat hit, in-your-face flavor, or excessive cooling, these disposables might not be for you, and that’s totally understandable. 

However, for everyone else, I implore you, please give these Aquios disposables a try; you are not going to regret it. Plus, you’ll be doing your bit to help the environment. 

It’s also worth mentioning I didn’t have a single stutter from any of the disposables, and the performance and flavor production was consistent throughout. They also achieved the 600 puffs per bar as advertised, which is great.

I’m so excited about what’s to come next with the collaboration of Aquios Labs and Innokin. If they can make a refillable pod that uses the same fantastic water-based liquid, I’m in 100%. 

Innokin is already the go-to brand for excellent starter vapes, so combining their impressive hardware with Aquios lab’s innovative water-based liquid will be game-changing. You’ll get coils that last longer, have purer cleaner vapor, reduced dehydration, and more efficient battery consumption.

In the meantime, I will be more than content to try every type of disposable Aquios Labs has had a hand in producing.
