These super similar devices are set to hit the market soon. So, how do they compare?
GoTek X and GoTek S have similar specifications, but the exteriors are different. Both kits cater to pod enthusiasts who appreciate the more minimalist features that are common among disposables, but GoTek S also comes in a number of eye-catching skins.
One of the most unique things about these kits is that they are available already pre-filled or as a refill. The pre-filled pods are perfect for vapers who want all the typical features of disposable devices but without the pressure to buy an entirely new device every few days. If you opt for the refillable choice, you’ll get two refillable pods that hold 4.5ml each or 2ml each for TPD-regulated zones.
Both devices operate on a draw-activated mechanism and feature an adjustable airflow slider on the bottom of the mod. They also come with a 650mAh battery.
Apart from the slider, the devices are free from any other buttons. That doesn’t mean that they are featureless. GoTex X features an eye-catching translucent exterior, which makes for a futuristic, modern appearance. GoTek S features a block color top and bottom and a translucent middle; a perfect mash-up of classic and modern design choices.
Each device comes with five color options. GoTek x is available in Translucent Royal Blue, Translucent Pink, Translucent Amber, Translucent Black, and Translucent. GoTek S is available in Yellow, Blue, Pink, White, and Black.

Who is it for?
Beginner or intermediate vapers who want all the hassle-free benefits of disposables but in a more-affordable pod system.
These devices are puzzling. The difference between them appears to be negligible. GoTek X has a constant output of 3.6 volts, whereas GoTek S has a constant output of 3.7 volts. The main difference seems to be the exteriors, which are ideal for image-conscious vapers.
650mAh is not an unusual battery size for pod systems, but it is on the lower side of the scale. Aspire claims that the battery in the GoTek S can support two days of vaping with ‘no charging whatsoever’. Only time will tell whether this is true or not.
We have to wonder how strong the airflow adjuster is on the bottom of the mod. Will you be able to put the device in your pocket without the slider moving?
The pods have in-built coils, so you need to dispose of the entire pod when the coil reaches the end of its lifecycle. There is only one refillable pod that is compatible with these devices, and it contains an in-built 0.8-ohm mesh coil. This isn’t a bad situation for sub-ohm vapers, but MtL (Mouth-to-Lung) vapers will not approve.
It will be interesting to see how the vape community reacts to this release, and whether Aspire will reach its target market.
