Aspire Tigon Kit | Preview

The Aspire Tigon Kit is a new starter Vape Pen style kit, designed to provide both an MTL and DTL vape experience.

Aspire are renowned for the starter kits and have delivered some of the most popular kits across the categories. From the Breeze 2, Nautilus AIO and Zelos Kit.

They’re also no strangers to creating great MTL and DTL tanks with the Nautilus and Cleito ranges being a lot of vapers go-to tanks.

So it seems a logical step for them to release another vape pen that can fit a tank and deliver either an MTL or DTL experience.

There are two versions of the kit:

The standard version comes with a 3.5ml tank is 24.5mm in diameter and has a 2600mAh battery.

The slightly smaller TPD EU version comes with a 2ml tank is 23mm diameter and has a 1800mAh battery.

The tanks feature a locking top fill mechanism and bottom airflow which has both a wide-open inlet for DTL or 5 small holes for MTL, and it’s fully adjustable.

There’s also a nifty little spring loaded sleeve which enables you to remove and replace your coil even with the tank full. So rather than re-hashing the use of their BVC coils which we’ve seen in other devices, the Tigon has it’s own specially designed push-fit coils.

The kit comes with either both a 0.4ohm (DTL) and a 1.2ohm (MTL) coil.

As for the batteries, they are direct output devices that have a micro-USB port for charging. The fire button has a small colored LED indicator around it to show you the status of the battery.

The Aspire Tigon Kit comes in 4 colors – Black, Stainless Steel, Rainbow, and Blue.

The Tigon Kits looks like not only will it be ideal for new vapers with it’s MTL setup, but also those looking to transition into DTL vaping or experience vapers that want a small pen-style kit.

The Tigon Kit might not be the most highly anticipated kit of the year or even the month. However, it’s always good to see a company that focuses on starter kits release another device, especially when it’s different from their past ones.

The real exciting part of this kit is the Tigon tank, which is also going to be available separately. I like what Aspire have done with the coil integration, and taking their past experience into count, I’m sure they’ve done a good job at making sure both MTL and DTL experiences are good.

However, it’s really going to come down to the performance of their new coils. It will be interesting to see just how well they hold up against the competition and if they have the same longevity of previous Aspire coils.
