The Next Mind CT1 is one of the latest pod mods to arrive. With an impressive battery for its size, refillable pods, and ceramic coils, it looks promising, but does it deliver?
What Is it?
Next Mind’s supercharged CT1 device is a feature-rich pod mod that expands on the typical list of pod-based device specifications. The CT1 improves the standard pod experience by incorporating many innovations including an auto-clean mode for its ceramic coils, a replaceable 3.5mL tanks, and coil units, as well as a built-in 650 mAh rechargeable battery that more than doubles the battery capacity we’ve come to expect from pod mods.
The Next Mind CT1 has an attractive looking physical design style and includes dual firing modes that allow either button or draw-activated firing, a locking pod design, quick Micro USB charging and LED status indicator.
Who is it for?
The Next Mind CT1 is an excellent device for new vapers. It’s easy to use but boasts enough battery life to make it an option for serious vaping.

It’s good to see some innovation in the pod mod market, an open-system pod which you can refill with any e-juice you like is not new, but it could well be the ideal middle-ground between more serious long-term vaping devices and the convenience of a pod system.
You don’t need to change the pod, just the coil which is better all round, cheaper than replacing a pod or whole tank and its especially kinder on the environment.
The (fire) button acts as both the on/off and for self-cleaning by pressing it eight times continuously in 3 seconds. Cleaning is going to be very useful when you are switching out flavors. Prolongs the life of the coil – probably not wise to try cleaning and new coil as you might burn it out – let it get gunky first!
The CT1 looks like it performs well for such a simple device and has loads of extra features – such as the choice between manual and automatic operation and the self-cleaning feature. Ceramic coils and the 650 Mah battery is almost twice the capacity of many pod-style devices (making it slightly larger than most pod-mods) – put it ahead of most of the options on the market.
