What is it?
The dotAIO V2 is the latest release from dotMod, and it’s been a much-anticipated one.
The original dotAIO has been an incredibly popular AIO device and has only seen one minor release since its inception, and that was the dotAIO SE. A cut-down, budget version.
The dotAIO V2 brings with it some significant upgrades that dot fans have been calling for without jeopardizing an already excellent form factor.
The most notable feature update is the inclusion of a fully adjustable board and color LCD screen.
DotMod has managed to squeeze the screen into the side of the device and moved the USB-Type C port to the base. This has led to minimal compromise on the extremely clean aesthetic.
The screen features a color-changing setting and stealth mode but, more importantly, will display your key settings including battery status.
The upgraded chipset brings with it some significant new features. The V2 now offers a fully adjustable chipset allowing down to 0.1w changes in wattage mode up to 75w, four power settings based on coil resistance (very soft, soft, medium, strong) in auto mode, and bypass and temperature control modes.
DotMod has also kept in the dry burn protection feature that cuts the current when the e-juice level is low, extending the life of your coils.
The dotAIO V2 has exactly the same form factor as the original dotAIO and still utilizes a single 18650 battery.
The only thing dotMod has changed with the design is some of the materials used. Instead of the original’s entire aluminum body, they have used a form of glass on the side panels to keep the weight down.
One of the great experiences with the original was the ability to customize the look. The Original dotAIO had a wide range of customization options both by dotmod and third-party companies.
Thankfully, all the dotAIO custom accessories are compatible with the dotAIO V2 and vice versa. This includes any third-party RBAs.
There’s also an update to the 2.0ml tank, which now features a child-proof fill port and a new airflow control base.
The tank is still connected to the device in the same way, using the spring-loaded contact for easy removal.
The dotAIO V2 is also compatible with dotMod’s brand-new coil platform with resistances from 0.15ohms – 1.0ohms. Included in the kit is both a 0.3ohm and a 0.7ohm coil.
The dotMod dotAIO V2 is currently available in 4 colors: Silver, Royal Blue, Red and Black.

Who is it for?
Vapers who want a stylish and versatile single battery AIO device that utilizes a boro-style tank.
The dotAIO has been a go-to in my vaping armory for a long time.
Its compact, stylish, all-in-one design has made it the perfect portable device for out and about.
There are also some fantastic third-party RBA bases available for it, like the dotShell (Atmizoo), the dotMission RBA, and the recent Pioneer DotRBA (BP Mods).
I’m so glad dotMod didn’t make any drastic changes to the device’s design and made sure it was backward compatible with all the accessories.
The one place the dotAIO was always lacking was in the ability to adjust wattage fully. With the release of some competitive boto-style devices like the Cthulhu AIO box, dotMod really needed to up their game.
Thankfully they did. The new chipset on the dotAIO V2 addresses all these issues and more with the inclusions of other power modes and a stylish color LCD screen.
The dotAIO V2 seems to me to be the perfect upgrade – blending much-needed new features into an already cracking design form without compromise.
