The Iore Prime is the latest pod kit from Eleaf, and it is aimed to be easy to use but also full of features.
Eleaf has a fantastic track record with starter kits, but they haven’t been so prolific in the pod kit market. That said, we have seen the iSolo, Tance, and iTap.
Eleaf has kept things simple with the Iore Prime format, but it still has a couple of standout features.
Firstly it utilizes refillable pods with a 2ml capacity and has a hidden top fill with simple mouthpiece removal.
The pods have a fixed coil, so the whole pod will require replacing. However, the pods do use mesh coils.
The Prime Iore kit comes with a 0.8Ω mesh coil in the kit, and there is also a 1.2Ω mesh coil which can be purchased separately.
The device is completely lacking any fire buttons and instead relies on “Auto Draw Activation” to fire when you inhale. Again Eleaf is keeping things extremely simple.
One included thing that you don’t always see on pod kits is adjustable airflow. There is a lever on the side of the device for you to slide and adjust the draw.
The Prime Iore comes with an in-built 900mAh battery that can be charged via USB Type C. Eleaf claim it will take around an hour to charge fully.
There is a small LED light on the front base of the device that will show the battery status through different colors.
The Eleaf Prime Iore is available in 5 color options: Carbon Fibre, Dark Brush, Purple Aurora, Bright Blush, and Golden Aurora.

Who is it for?
Vapers who want a compact pod system with adjustable airflow and mesh coils.
Eleaf is known as a brand that could always release affordable but well-made starter kits.
However, they seem to have taken a bit of a back seat when it comes to pod kits and have not exactly pushed the boundaries with their designs.
While the Prime Iore does have that generic pod look and feel to it, there are a few things I like about the design.
The first is the mouthpiece. I get really annoyed when some of these pod mods have huge duck-billed style mouthpieces, especially when they are MTL devices. While the Prime Iore’s mouthpiece seems a little smaller than most.
The second thing I like is the inclusion of an adjustable airflow slider. It reminds me of the VooPoo Vinci Royal edition we recently had in for review. In fact, the whole kit does have a similar vibe.
The one thing I dislike about this kit is that it appears to only come with one pod!
I know Eleaf will probably make it extremely affordable and undercut some of the competition. But really? How can any pod system only come with one empty pod? What if there’s an issue with the included pod.
That being said, if the Prime Iore has good performance from those mesh coils, it could still be a great little kit to pick up.
