The Flum Float may have a funky-sounding name and unique styling for a disposable.

However, its performance is what really stands out and why its larger sibling is currently one of our favorite disposables vapes.

We take a look at the smaller 2ml (20mg) Flum Float UK Edition to see if it delivers the same performance just in a smaller package.

The Flum Float is available in both a 2ml (700 puffs) UK Edition and an 8ml (3000 puffs) international edition – with over 20 flavors to choose from.

Design & Style

The Flum Float (UK Edition) has exactly the same design and styling as the larger 8ml capacity US version.

It is a two-tone design, mimicking the shape and form of a drink or milk bottle. 

The top third of the device is white and curves into a bottle kneck top which functions as the mouthpiece. It is incredibly comfortable to use and one of the best on a disposable for MTL vaping.

A colored ‘Flum Float’ is also present on the top white section of the device. The logo’s color matches the bottom third of the device and is in line with the flavor profile on offer.

The colors are nice and vibrant, and the whole glossy finish of the device gives it a flashy feel. Thankfully it doesn’t make it too slippery, and it’s still a perfect disposable to conceal in the palm of your hand.

On the base of the device are a couple of air holes and an LED light that sits recessed. The LED lights up when you use the device; even though it is white light, you get a colored glow through the device’s plastic. So it’s easy to see when using, which isn’t always the case with disposables.

The design of the Flum Float may not be to everyone’s liking, especially those that prefer a subtle, sleek device. However, overall I have to say it is undoubtedly a fun design and one that catches the eye.

Aloe Grape

They say: A blend of Aloe and fresh grapes that leave cooling in the throat.

Our Vibe: Absolutely delicious! It is such an original flavor profile and one that is a complete winner with its perfect balance of flavors. The Grape is juicy and sweet and has an almost enveloping density to it. Then as you progress through the inhale, you get more underlying depth from the Aloe. The Aloe shines through a little more on the exhale with a kick of cooling agent. Not just one of my favorite Flum Flot flavors, but possibly one of my favorite vape flavors – it’s that good.

Tropical Delight

They say: A mix of tropical fruit.

Our Vibe: Well, the name says it all, this really is a tropical delight. It’s juicy and fruity right from the inhale and gives you a slight cooling effect on the exhale. Although it’s a lovely flavor, I do struggle to distinguish the individual fruit flavors throughout the vape. It’s a nice refreshing fruity vape, but not my favorite in this line-up.

Gummy Drop

They say: Sweet and sour gummy flavor.

Our Vibe: One of the most well-rounded Gummy flavors I’ve tried. You can get different sweet fruits every time you vape, with sometimes a hint of pineapple or citrus. They have also given it that real sour candy/gummy depth that makes you genuinely feel like you’ve popped some Gummy bears in your mouth. Again not overpowering and easily an all-day vape.

Fruity Hawaii

They say: A classic island blend.

Our Vibe: I was expecting a little more from this one. It is a clean tropical fruit blend. However, the others have been more punchy with the flavor. It’s still a lovely fruity vape, and you get some lovely Mango and Pineapple notes. I think there’s also a hint of coconut in there. It’s quite a mellow vape, and 

De’lo Lychee

They say: Lychee flavor at its best.

Our Vibe: Oh my word, what an absolute treat of a flavor. I’m not someone who would typically gravitate toward lychee flavors. But this is just so damn delicious. The Lychee hits you right from the inhale; it’s sweet, juicy, and ever so moreish. There are some other underlying flavors in there giving it a bit of depth, but the Lychee is the star of the show – and it’s an amazing one.

Performance

Having used both the larger 3000-puff Flum Floats and the smaller 600-puff UK Edition in this review – I can safely say they are both excellent.

The only difference between the two (despite the obvious size) is the nicotine strength and capacity. The UK edition delivers just as good flavor from these compact and pocket-friendly little Floats.

The auto draw on the device is very good, and the mouthpiece is one of the best I’ve used in a disposable. I really don’t like flat duck-billed style mouthpieces. You can easily wrap your lips around the Flum Float and get a proper MTL draw.

Although I prefer my vape devices to look a little more stealthy, I have to say I’ve come around to the fun design and form factor of the Flum Floats. They are very light and feel good in the hand. Just don’t expect them to feel premium. 

The flavor profiles are also exceptional. I especially loved the Aloe Grape and the De’lo Lychee – which truly is ‘Lychee at its best.’

Another thing I really like about the Flum Floats is that they are not overpowering with either the sweetener or cooling agent. Instead, they sit more on the mellow (but still flavorful) side of disposables. This means you can happily vape away on these all day without them getting too sickly.

I was easily achieving the 600 puff count on all of the devices, and the performance was stable throughout.

I’ve absolutely loved my time using these little disposables. So much so that I’m immediately going to check out some of their other flavors on offer.

Verdict

The Flum Floats really are fun and funky disposable vape pens. 

However, the most impressive thing about them is their quality flavor profiles and excellent performance. 

If you are looking to try some new disposables with an impressive flavor range, I highly recommend the Flum Floats.
