It looks like the Aegis family is expanding once more with the release of the Geekvape Aegis Boost Pod Mod.
There’s no official mention on Geekvape’s website yet, but it’s already started appearing for pre-order on vendor sites.
So let’s try and fill you in on what we already know.
The Aegis Boost Pod Mod will follow in the same rugged design as all of the Aegies devices, and we wouldn’t expect anything less.
It will feature IP67 water-resistance, along with being Stain, Corrosion, and tear-resistant also.
The Aegis Boost will be powered by a 1500mAh internal battery, with a charge rate of 1.5A. It will come with GeekVape’s latest AS chipset, which will deliver a super quick firing time of 0.08 seconds.
It will, of course, be a variable wattage device, with a power output of 5-40W. There’s also a 0.42in OLED display.
The pods are the most intriguing part of this kit, but sadly we lack full details at this stage.
We know that they have a 3.7ml capacity, and the kit will include a 0.6ohm KA1 Mesh coil. Whether this is a separate coil or is part of the whole pod, we don’t know.
There’s mention of both DTL and MTL from the kit, as we would expect from a pod system. But it’s unclear whether that will be from the same coil or a higher ohm coil.
Some vendors even mention compatibility with an RDTA or RBA, which would be excellent if it is true.
We do know that there will be an easy access top-fill method and an adjustable airflow control dial on the front of the pod, so two big boxes ticked there.
*Note: We will update all this preview as soon as we hear more details from GeekVape.*
The GeekVape Aegis Boost Pod Kit will be available in 5 colors: Aura Glow, Almighty Blue, Space Black, Devil Red, and Gun Metal.
While we don’t have all of the release details from GeekVape about the Aegis Boost pod kit, what we do know looks good.
A robust, versatile, variable wattage pod system with a large battery and juice capacity are all major positives.
The fact that it’s a GeekVape product also means a quality AS chipset and excellent build quality.
I’m quite excited to see whether it does come with an RDTA pod section, and how GeekVape has implemented it.
Either way, I can see this one flying off the shelf.
