The Geekvape Frenzy Kit is Geekvape’s first entry into the pod system market.

It seems to have borrowed a lot of it’s styling from the Lost Vape Orion, much like the Smok Trinity Alpha.

However, there are a few tricks the Frenzy has up its sleeve that might just make it stand out.

Firstly the Geekvape Frenzy takes replaceable coils, so you don’t have to replace the whole pod.

It comes with both a 0.7 Ohm NS Mesh Coil (Mesh KA1) for DL vaping, and a 1.2 Ohm NS Coil (SS316L) for MTL vaping.

The Frenzy also features an Advanced AS Micro Chipset, which can detect which coil is connected to the device and switch between Power mode (0.7ohm coil), and TC mode (1.2ohm coil).

The pod for the Frenzy has a 2ml capacity and features a bottom-fill mechanism.

It also features adjustable airflow which is conveniently placed at the bottom of the pod and is where the coils attach to. The airflow control has a knurled grip pattern and is accessible from either side of the device while the pod is attached.

The pods attach via magnets, so should be easy to remove anytime you need to refill or change a coil.

The Frenzy houses a 950mAh battery, and has a small LED indicator on the front side to show battery status:

Green Light: 70-100%
Blue Light: 31-69%
Red Light: 0-30%

The Frenzy kit has a zinc alloy frame and comes with either resin or carbon fiber side panels, much like the Lost Vape Orion, and there a several colors available at release.

The Geekvape Frenzy is currently available in 8 color combinations – Gold/Carbon Fiber, Black/Carbon Fiber, Silver/Carbon Fiber, Blue/Carbon Fiber or Black Magma, Black Onyx, Black Ghost and Blue Azure.

If you put aside the fact that both Smok and Geekvape have copied the styling of the Lost Vape Orion, which in turn took inspiration from the Zeltu X – Geekvape has done something interesting with the Frenzy.

They took their time, assessed the market, and tried to make sure they had all bases covered before releasing a pod system.

The fact that the Frenzy offers both a mesh (0.7ohm) and SS316 (1.2ohm) coil makes it appealing to all types of vapers. Especially if you include the fact that the AS chipset is capable of offering temp control (which only the expensive original Orion has).

It also uses replacement coils, which trumps the expensive pods of the Orion, and has adjustable airflow which the Smok Trinity Alpha also doesn’t have.

If pre-order prices are anything to go by, it’s also going to be more affordable than the competition.

The bottom fill system for pods doesn’t look as appealing as the top fill methods of other devices, but it does give the Frenzy a far cleaner aesthetic overall.

I’m looking forward to getting freaky with the frenzy, as I think Geekvape has ticked some boxes that I wish other stylish pod systems had.
