Super-Fast Charging Pod Mod!

What is it?

The Geekvape Obelisk 65 FC & 65 Kits are the two latest releases in the Obelisk line.

Even though Obelisk is a relatively new range from Geekvape, we have already seen the Obelisk 200, Obelisk 120 FC, and Obelisk 60 Pod Kit.

So why the two kits from Geekvape, and what’s the difference?

The most significant difference between the two is the ‘FC’ version has Geekvape’s ‘Fast Charge’ facility and a slightly different battery configuration to support it.

Like previous FC Obelisk devices, the 65FC uses the PD charging protocol, so you will require a 3A wall plug adapter & cable to get the fast charging benefits.

It will charge with lower wattage adaptors (1A, 2A), but you will get a standard (slower) charging rate.

The PD protocol can output charge rates up to 45W and can adjust the rate according to the battery’s charge status. Geekvape claims it can fully charge in only 18 minutes.

Geekvape’s fast charge system also allows for a two-way flow of power, so the device can be used as a power bank to charge other devices. A USB C to UB C cable is included, and you will have to put the device in the ‘OTG’ (On the Go) user mode.

The standard version (or non-FC) Obelisk 65 has a regular 2A USB Type C charging port.

Due to the different battery technologies, the device capacities are also slightly different. The Obelisk 65 has a 2500mAh in-built battery, while the Obelisk 65FC has 2 x 1100mAh (total 2200mAh).

The rest of the Obelisk device’s features and settings are exactly the same.

They have an output range of 5-65W, offering Variable Wattage, SMART, Temp Control, VPC (custom curves, Bypass modes.

There is a 0.96in TFT color screen on the device’s front to see all of your vaping data.

The included pod has a 4.5ml capacity (2ml TPD), with a top fill port. It also features an airflow adjustment ring at the top of the pod. As it’s top airflow, you should be protected from any accidental leaks.

The pod utilizes Geekvape’s existing B series coils (used in the Aegis Boost line). Included in the kit is a 0.2ohm and 0.4ohm coil.

The Geekvape Obelisk 65 FC & 65 Kits are available in 7 colors: Lava, Peacock, Navy Blue, Ruby, Sapphire, Scarlet Blue, and Rainbow.

Who is it for?

Vapers who want a compact (and fast charging) pod kit with plenty of coil options.

Our Vibe

The Obelisk 65 and 65FC are logical extensions to the already great Obelisk line by Geekvape.

While there’s nothing super exciting about these devices, you can’t deny they are great-looking little pod kits.

The FC version has the super-fast charge ability, which will also negate the fact it doesn’t have the largest battery capacity – but you will need the charger to reap the benefits!

I’m sure the vape experience will be great from the B series coils, and fully adjustable airflow is always a welcome inclusion in pod kits.

I can see these being very popular little pocket pod kits.
