Hellvape Dead Rabbit V2 RDA | Preview

The Hellvape Dead Rabbit 2 seems to have popped up out of nowhere. There are no official release details from Hellvape yet, but it can be found on the vendor website for pre-order.

So what do we know?

Firstly it’s still a collaboration between Heathen and Hellvape. Heathen even stated after the release of the original Dead Rabbit that, in hindsight, he would’ve changed a few details on the original. So the V2 is his chance to make that change and improve the RDA.

However, don’t worry Dead Rabbit fans, it’s still pretty much the same the design; there are just a few tweaks here and there.

There are now two options for the airflow inlets, with either a slot or honeycomb configuration, which can be selected by rotating the barrel. The airflow inlets are also higher and angled down towards the deck more to reduce any chance of leaking.

There’s now a locking feature on the barrel and deck to ensure you always have the designated airflow appropriately aligned with the coils.

One of the best features of the Dead Rabbit was the simple ‘bunny ear’ designed build deck. There’s not much change here, but the posts are a little larger with bigger holes to allow even more beefy coils. They are also angled slightly at the top.

The posts also sit a little higher in the build deck, which means there’s an even larger juice well than on the original Dead Rabbit.

The Dead Rabbit V2 RDA will be available in 10 colors: Matte Black, Stainless Steel, Gunmetal, Blue, White, Gold, Full Black, Rainbow, Red and Purple.

The Dead Rabbit was a bit of a game-changer when it came to dual coil RDAs. This was mainly thanks to it’s excellently designed build deck, which was one of the easiest to build on.

The one place the original was a little lacking was with airflow options. The Drop Dead RDA tried to put that right by mashing together the ‘Dead Rabbit’ and ‘Drop,’ but it’s good to see the original get a new lease of life with some upgrades.

I’m glad that Heathen and Hellvape have not made drastic changes to the build deck, and the minor tweaks certainly seem to be welcome improvements.

The Dead Rabbit V2 also seems to come with a side name of ‘Perfectus,’ whether that is the case we will have to wait to find out.

Vapers looking for a dual coil RDA that can deliver big clouds and excellent flavor. Especially those who were fans of the original Dead Rabbit.
