Innokin EQs Pod Kit Intro
The EQs is a subtle update to the popular EQ pod system by Innokin, it sees a slightly more premium finish and uses 3D mesh coils.
What is it?
The EQs pod system is an upgrade on one of the best performing pod systems on the market, the Innokin EQ.
There’s not a huge difference in styling, but the EQ comes in slightly shorter at only 85mm in eight (other dimensions are yet to be released).
It also seems to have a more premium look to it with the stainless steel accents, and the main body has a brushed metal finish instead of the rubber coated one on the EQ.
The most significant difference is with the pods and the coils they use. Instead of the standard mesh coils, which were excellent performers, Innokin has decided to incorporate their new 3D mesh coils (the PLEX3D – which were also seen on the new iSub B Tank and Plexar Kit).
The 3D mesh differs from standard flat mesh as it has 3D ridges (which Innokin call “Micro Grooves”). This adds to the surface area available which means it can more efficiently heat the e-liquid.
As with the EQ, there’s an internal 800mAh capacity battery, and the ability to adjust power settings. There are 3 to choose from 11.5W, 13.5W, and 15.5W. The fire button has a light around it which indicates the power mode selected and the battery life remaining.
Innokin has also kept the same easy to use twist to fill mechanism on the bottom of the 2ml capacity pods.
The EQs comes in 6 available colors – Black, Grey, Sky Blue, Purple, Coral Pink, White.
Who is it for?
Vapers looking for an easy to use refillable pod system, especially one that’s going to deliver on flavor and performance with the option to adjust power settings.

I was a huge fan of the original Innokin EQ. It delivered excellent performance both in terms of flavor and lifespan of the coils.
It will be interesting to see if the new Plex3D pods are able to deliver even better flavor.
As for the design of the EQs, it’s not a massive departure from the original. I like the fact it’s a smaller device, but I’m not sure what material they are made from as some seem to have a shiny body. Which is a shame because I loved the matte rubber coated texture on the frame of the original.
It’s great that they kept the same design of the pods with the easy twist to refill, but there’s still no sign of adjustable airflow. Not a major gripe for me as the draw was spot on for MTL, but some may see it as a negative.
Innokin makes superb MTL devices, they don’t try to overcomplicate things, and I’m sure the EQs is going to be another excellent pod system.
