IVG has been one of the leading vape juice companies in the UK for some time.

They have also previously released some disposable vape pens. However, the IVG Calipro sees the branch out with a unique design format.

The IVG Calipro comes with 2ml of pre-filled e-liquid (TPD compliant), utilizing IVG’s nicotine salt juice line with 2% (20mg) nicotine strength.

The device is powered by a 580mAh internal battery and can deliver up to 600 puffs per disposable.

The Calipro uses a 1.2Ω mesh coil and, unlike other disposables, comes with a transparent pod-like mouthpiece that allows you to see your juice level.

Design

I have been reviewing a constant stream of disposables, and it’s become quite rare for something to surprise me on the design front.

The IVG Calipro definitely made me take notice as soon as I clapped my eyes on it. Not because it has a crazy design or weird form factor but because you can actually see your entire juice inside.

The Calipro looks just like a pod device with its transparent mouthpiece that acts as a juice window. I even thought it was removable when I first started using it.

Most disposables use a pre-soaked cotton wick that sits within the device, so you have no way of seeing the remaining juice. As a result, you have to keep using the device until it fails, and it’s hard to tell when that will be when you’ve been using it for a while.

IVG has made the excellent choice of using a regular pod-style design with a mesh coil in the center chamber surrounded by the visible eliquid. They have also implemented it so that you can see right down to the very last drop, which pods often fall short on.

This is obviously helped by the fact that the IVG Calipro is for a TPD market and is limited to 2ml of eliquid. Often US disposables go for high-capacity eliquid, and it seems the pre-soaked wick method is more suitable.

That being said, it’s nice to see a different style of disposable and one that certainly adds to its usability.

As for the rest of the disposable design, it’s nothing out of the ordinary.

The Calipro is relatively compact, measuring 112 x 12 x 22mm, and is ideal for slipping in your pocket. 

The device’s body is a matte plastic finish with enough rounded contours to make it easy to hold. In addition, the color of each Calipro matches well with the flavor profile within.

I’m not a massive fan of the prominent printed branding all over the front of the Calipro. They could’ve made it a little more subtle, but I guess it’s not too dissimilar to other disposables on this front.

The LED status light can be found in the center groove of the device, so it is easy to spot when vaping. One the base of each disposable is just the tiny airflow hole to help these deliver an MTL draw. 

Overall I think the IVG Calipro feels great in the hand, it has decent build quality, and I love the juice window mouthpiece. I just wish the branding was a little more subtle. 

Flavors

Juicy Berries

A light fruity scent of freshly picked berries, the raspberry, and blueberry come through in a subtle, almost juicy taste, which is a little dry on the exhale. A sweet taste that’s not too concentrated, candy-like, and overpowering. The cooling agent is not too strong but gets more robust with each puff.

Mango Lush

The perfect blend of sweet and sour ripe mangoes with a hint of creaminess is rich yet light and instantly cooling on the inhale, with a definite tropical feel in addition to the mango for summer vaping. Just enough flavor to be fruity and refreshing without overdoing it so you can enjoy it repeatedly.

Cherry Watermelon

Perfect for those looking for an enjoyable, fruity vape experience. The cherries’ tart and sweet taste comes through on the inhale, with a very subtle watermelon aftertaste. Although the flavor is not particularly natural, the cherry is intense and popping, making it one for cherry lovers more than those craving watermelons.

Pink Apple Guava

An exotic and luscious blend that tantalizes your taste buds. Bursting with notes of juicy guava, sweet pink apples, and a hint of tartness. The guava is intense on the inhale, with the pink apples coming through powerfully on the exhale with the sensation of a cool breeze on the tongue.

Green Fusion

A mix of sweet and tart fruity flavors with a subtle overtone of energy drink on the exhale. I struggled to pick out the zingy lime highlights, more generic sweet citrus with lots of cooling. The fusion of two flavors creates an incredibly sweet and tasty vapor experience. This unique blend will give you that much-needed sweet hit when needed and add some extra zing to your day.

Blueberry Bubblegum

A unique and delicious flavor that will have your taste buds tingling. This flavor has an uplifting artificial sweetness that blends with the very subtle tartness of blueberries. The bubblegum taste adds an extra element to this e-juice that could mix opinions making it an ideal choice for those who love artificially sweet and fruity flavors, as this one will satisfy your cravings.

Berries Watermelon

A refreshing watermelon scent that turns out to be a unique blend of ripe watermelon and juicy berries. The identification of strawberries is lost by the overpowering of artificial flavors, which then drowns the watermelon into a very synthetic taste. You finally get the watermelon coming through with the cooling on the exhale.

Raspberry Blueberry

A sweet and tangy blend that captures the classic taste of raspberries. It combines bold notes of tart raspberry with smooth and sweet blueberry for a flavorsome vaping experience. The combination of these two flavors creates an unforgettable blue razz flavor that is consistent in tantalizing your taste buds with every puff if a little sweet.

Tropical Island

A unique blend of sweet and tart combines sweet pineapple, melon, and kiwi flavors. This flavor does transport you to a tropical paradise with every puff! All three flavors come through individually identifiable and together for the overall taste on the exhale. Kiwi Watermelon Apple

A refreshing watermelon scent that hits with a bold apple flavor perfectly complements the other two fruits. The result is a fantastic blend of all three fruit flavors you won’t get enough of. This kiwi watermelon apple vape flavor is the perfect option for those who love fruity e-juices and want something different from ordinary fruit flavors.

Performance

There are many things to like about the IVG Calipro disposables and how they perform.

As I previously mentioned, the window to see your juice level is excellent, and it seems they have the perfect balance of juice capacity with battery performance.

The 2ml pre-filled juice, along with the battery, lasted well over 600 puffs per bar – which was very impressive. 

The airflow is also good on the Calipro, delivering a smooth MTL draw that satisfies.

They have some delicious flavors in the range. I really loved the Kiwi Watermelon Apple and Pink Apple Guava.

They are all balanced well with the cooling. However, I will say a few of the flavors lean on the artificial flavor side and don’t quite hit the spot. 

Verdict

IVG has done a really good job with their new Calipro disposable line.

I love that they have a proper juice window, which transformed how I used them. Being able to tell how long each disposable would last me at a glance was a lifesaver.

The Calipro also performs well from a battery and longevity standpoint, giving you over the advertised 600 puffs per bar.

There are some good flavors in the range, and while most will be happy with them, they weren’t quite up there with the best disposables I’ve tried.

However, as an overall package, I’m really impressed with them, and if you are in a TPD area, these would be an excellent choice.
