OXBAR SVOPP Disposable Vape Review

Product Description

OXBAR is trying to shake things up in the disposable market with its latest innovation – the SVOPP disposable.

Instead of the usual all-in-one throwaway, they’ve split things into two pieces – a reusable 1100mAh battery unit and separate flavor pods.

The SVOPP is flexing some serious specs with its six power modes ranging from 11W all the way up to 30W. Each pod is loaded with a 1.0Ω dual mesh coil and promises up to 25,000 puffs in normal mode (or 15,000 in the higher settings).

They’re keeping it consistent with that 5% (50mg) nicotine strength that seems to be the industry standard these days.

The smart little rail system they’ve cooked up is the real innovation. The pods slide right onto the battery unit with three contact points – no messing around with threading or complicated connections.

There’s also a vibrant display screen showing your battery life and power settings, adjustable airflow control, and USB-C charging. It’s a pretty intriguing package.

OXBAR SVOPP Review

Design & Build Quality

OXBAR’s done something pretty interesting with this one.

First off, we’ve got to address that sliding rail system. It’s like OXBAR looked at traditional disposables and thought, “Nah, we can do better.” The battery unit and flavor pod connect through three metal contact points, sliding together with a satisfying click.

Now, I’ve got to be honest – it works great and holds together well during normal use. A firm downward push can separate the pieces.

While I think it’s excellent for a first addition. I’d like to see a more secure locking mechanism in later versions. It won’t come undone in your pocket, but it doesn’t take much to detach them.

Size-wise, it’s pretty compact at 93mm x 53mm x 25mm. It’s got a nice weight balance, too, at 90g. But that’s expected with the 1100mAh battery on board.

Oh, and for maximum portability, you can actually split it up and pocket the pieces separately. Pretty neat trick for a disposable.

The display is clean and crisp – nothing super fancy like the wraparound screens we’re seeing on some competitors, but it more than gets the job done.

You’ve got your wattage output front and center, with a battery percentage indicator. The single button below handles your power adjustments, cycling through those six modes from 11W all the way up to 30W.

On the base of the flavor pod section, they’ve tucked in an adjustable airflow slider that actually works. None of that “it’s adjustable but doesn’t make a difference” nonsense we sometimes see. It’s a full slider that gives you real control over your draw, from a tight MTL to a restrictive DTL.

The mouthpiece is made from a TPU soft-touch material that’s comfortable (but not quite as flexy as OXBAR’s marketing might have you believe). Still, it’s better than those hard plastic tips we’re used to seeing.

The build quality feels really solid. And I forgot to mention, there’s not actually much wiggle or play when the pod and battery are connected.

Speaking of build quality. I’m really impressed with the battery unit. It’s got a real premium feel to it. The pods are also solid, with a slightly textured finish on the back that helps with grip.

OXBAR SVOPP USB-C Port

Obviously the USB-C port is where you’d expect it, at the base of the battery unit. I would’ve loved to see faster charging speeds here (takes about 90 minutes). But the beauty of this design is you can have two batteries, and charge one while you use the other.

Overall I’m super impressed by the SVOPP. Especially with the design and how seamlessly the two pieces work together. You’d hardly know this was a two-piece system when everything’s assembled.

OXBAR has delivered the convenience of a disposable with the sustainability of a pod system. And you know what? They might be onto something here.

OXBAR SVOPP Flavors

Flavors

Let’s dive into OXBAR’s flavor lineup for the SVOPP. They’ve got some interesting ones in the mix.

Strawberry Banana Dream

This one’s got a nice balance of sweet strawberry leading the charge, with a creamy banana finish that doesn’t taste artificial. The surprise here is a subtle candy-like undertone that elevates it beyond your typical strawberry banana vape.

Fruity Worms

If you’ve ever craved those gummy worm candies in vapor form, this is your jam. It nails that sweet, fruity candy profile without being overwhelming, making it a surprisingly good all-day vape option.

Dragonfruit Lemonade

Here’s where OXBAR shows off its mixing skills with a perfect blend of exotic dragonfruit and tangy lemonade. The dragonfruit adds this unique sweetness while the lemonade brings a refreshing zing that keeps you coming back for more.

Fruity Pebz

They’ve somehow managed to capture that Saturday morning cereal vibe, complete with a medley of fruity notes that’ll have you feeling nostalgic. The flavor’s got depth to it, layering different fruit notes that keep things interesting without being too sweet.

Juicy Pink Watermelon

This one’s like biting into a perfectly ripe watermelon with just the right amount of sweetness. They’ve managed to avoid that artificial candy watermelon taste that plagues so many other watermelon vapes.

Rocket Pop

Talk about a nostalgia trip – this one’s nailed that classic red, white, and blue ice pop flavor. The cherry, lime, and blue raspberry layers are all there, complete with a cool finish that makes it feel like the real deal.

Clear Emerald

This is their take on a premium mint blend, mixing sweet mint with spearmint for a refreshing vape. It’s got just the right amount of cooling effect without feeling like you’re chomping on an ice cube.

OXBAR SVOPP Screen

Performance

So, the SVOPP has a unique two-part design, but how does that affect its usability? And does it deliver a good vape?

First off, those six power modes are more than just numbers on a screen. They run from 11W up to 30W, and they make a noticeable difference in your vaping experience.

Here’s how I rate them for each power setting:

  • 11W = Best for low-powered tight MTL vaping
  • 13W = Best for low-powered tight MTL vaping (slightly warmer)
  • 15W = Best for a warmer or looser MTL vape
  • 22W (Boost) = Best for loose MTL or RDTL
  • 26W (Boost) = Best for RDTL
  • 30W (Boost) = Best with wide airflow, and those that like a hard hit (Too strong for me!)

It’s an odd set of power settings. But while it’s not fully adjustable, there are 3 good settings for MTL and 3 for RDTL. Which is more than enough.

But here’s the thing – with that 5% nicotine strength, I found myself sticking to the lower settings most of the time. Those higher wattages (22W-30W) pack a serious punch that might be too intense for all-day vaping.

The dual mesh coil is doing some heavy lifting in the flavor department. Whether I was vaping on the fruity profiles or that Clear Emerald mint, everything came through crystal clear.

That could be thanks to the collaboration with ‘Pod Juice’. Either way, tt’s up there for flavor production, maybe just a bit shy of some of the best disposables I’ve tried.

What really sets this apart from traditional disposables is the ability to switch flavors without throwing away a perfectly good battery. Feel like switching from Fruity Pebz to Juicy Pink Watermelon. Just slide off one pod and pop on another. It’s actually faster than opening up a new disposable.

The other thing that makes a big difference to the overall performance is the adjustable airflow. Unlike some other disposables that might only give you two options or keep things a little restricted. The SVOPP has an excellent and versatile slider. You can definitely get a tight MTL, which is great.

The 1100mAh battery is a beast. I was consistently getting 2-3 days of heavy use before needing a charge, even with some occasional high-wattage pulls thrown in. But here’s where things get interesting – because you can swap pods without changing batteries, you’re never stuck waiting for a charge to finish if you’ve got a spare battery on hand.

OXBAR SVOPP Battery Connection

Fortunately for me, OXBAR sent me two batteries. So I never had to wait for charging.

But when I did charge, sadly, it wasn’t exactly lightning fast. We’re looking at about 90 minutes for a full charge, which feels a bit long in 2024. Would’ve loved to see some faster charging capabilities here.

The draw activation is spot-on – no misfires, no stuttering, just smooth and consistent pulls every time.

Overall I’ve loved my time with the SVOPP. It delivers an excellent vape experience. In fact, (I never thought I’d say this), but for me, it was more convenient than a regular disposable – all thanks to that dual system design.

OXBAR SVOPP Review

Verdict

So, does the SVOPP deserve a spot in your vaping rotation? Look, OXBAR’s done something pretty special here. They’ve basically taken everything we love about disposables – the convenience, the flavor, the simplicity – and addressed the biggest pain points. No more tossing perfectly good batteries, no more being stuck with one flavor until it’s done, and no more compromising on features like adjustable airflow and power settings.

The performance is right where it needs to be. That dual mesh coil setup delivers some seriously good flavor, and with six power modes to play with, you can dial in your perfect vape.

Yeah, the charging could be faster, and that pod connection system could be more secure, but these are minor gripes in what’s otherwise a solid package. The 1100mAh battery is great, and being able to swap pods on the fly is awesome. (Especially for those of us who like to switch up our flavors throughout the day).

Bottom line? The SVOPP is a glimpse into what disposable vapes should be. It’s not just another throwaway device – it’s a proper hybrid that combines the best of both worlds. Sure, you’re paying a bit more upfront for the battery, but you’ll make that back in no time by not throwing away batteries with every empty pod. If you go through disposables regularly, this is a no-brainer upgrade.

The SVOPP gets my stamp of approval, especially if you grab a second battery to keep in rotation.
