Product Description
The OXVA NeXLIM arrives as part of the company’s 5th anniversary celebration, and honestly, it feels like they’ve pulled out all the stops.
It’s a bold step from OXVA to try to move on from the XLIM range and take things in a new direction.
At its core, we’re looking at a device that pairs a 1500mAh battery with a bright 0.85-inch color display and wattage adjustment up to 40W.
The real party piece here is the dual operating modes – ECO mode, which alternates between the two mesh coils for better battery life and pod longevity, and BOOST mode, which fires both coils simultaneously for maximum flavor impact.
There are also three customizable screen themes and a precise airflow adjustment system.
The kit includes two of OXVA’s new dual mesh pods (0.6Ω and 0.8Ω), designed to handle everything from MTL to restricted DL vaping (available in both 4ml standard and 2ml TPD versions). The NeXLIM comes in twelve different color options: Glory Red, Power Black, Pine Green, Dark Grey, Dark Brown, Dark Blue, Coral Orange, Pearl Pink, Rose Gold, Starry Blue, Black Gold, and Black Warrior.
Design & Build Quality
I’ve been testing a lot of pod systems lately, and I have to say – the NeXLIM really caught my eye as soon as I unboxed it.
The Dark Blue and Dark Grey versions I received for review have this stunning premium finish that blew me away.
The metallic body on both devices has an incredible depth that oozes class. It’s like a rich bronze finish, and the Dark Blue, in particular, is one of the most premium-looking pod vapes I’ve seen. I love it.

At first glance, you might think those panels are leather, but they’re actually a high-quality PU material that feels incredibly premium to touch. It’s got this soft, slightly rubbery texture that not only helps with grip but makes you want to keep handling the device – I found myself frequently fidgeting with it during testing!
The size feels just right too, measuring 122 x 28.5 x 17.5mm and weighing in at 87.5g – substantial enough to feel premium but not bulky in your pocket.
The circular 0.85-inch color display is where things get really interesting.
It gives the whole device character, not just from the way it perfectly molds into the device. But with it’s three distinct themes.

The Classic theme is your straightforward, information-packed display showing everything from power output to battery life. But the msot interesting and fun for me is the Robot theme – it’s absolutely adorable with its animated face that transforms while you vape. Sure, it doesn’t show as much information as the Classic theme, but I couldn’t help but smile every time those eyes turned into hearts. The Cyberpunk theme sits somewhere in the middle, offering decent information display with some cool animations.
While i’m more of a pragmatist and prefer the Classic theme, I’ve got to say OXVA nailed the balance between functionality and fun.
The airflow control slider on the side is well-implemented, though I did occasionally find myself covering it with my finger during use. It’s got just the right amount of resistance – firm enough to stay in place but smooth enough for easy adjustment.

The fire button, while small at 8x3mm, has a satisfying click and responsiveness. There’s no locking feature for the button, but it doesn’t really need it as it’s only an auto-draw device. However, some may have preferred to see the fire button activation also.
The build quality really impressed me throughout testing. The magnets holding the pod in place are strong – they guide the pod smoothly into position but don’t make it a struggle to remove. And there’s no excessive wiggle.
Even after two weeks of heavy use, including some accidental drops onto my desk, the finish has held up remarkably well with no signs of wear. This is definitely a step up in terms of durability compared to some other pod systems I’ve tested recently. In my opinion, this is the best-built OXVA device to date.
Features
Having spent a fair amount of time with pod systems this year, I can say the NeXLIM comes loaded with some genuinely useful features – not just gimmicks.
First up, let’s talk about those dual power modes – ECO and BOOST. In ECO mode, the device cleverly alternates between the two mesh coils to extend pod life, while BOOST mode fires both coils simultaneously for a more intense vape.
I was skeptical about this feature at first (aren’t we all tired of pointless modes?), but it actually makes a noticeable difference in both flavor intensity and battery life. The ability to switch between these modes depending on whether you’re prioritizing longevity or flavor is genuinely useful.
The wattage range of 5-40W might seem modest compared to some competitors (like the VPrime’s 60W), but let’s be real – for a pod system focused on MTL and RDL vaping, it’s more than enough power. The device features smart coil detection that automatically suggests the optimal wattage range for each pod. I particularly appreciate how it remembers your preferred wattage for each pod resistance.
One feature that really impressed me was the auto-draw activation. Unlike the VPrime, which struggled with wide-open airflow, the NeXLIM’s auto-draw works consistently regardless of airflow setting. It’s responsive and reliable – exactly what you want from a pod system. The adjustable airflow itself is smooth and precise, allowing you to dial in anything from a tight MTL to a restricted DL draw.
The menu system is straightforward and intuitive. It’s all handled with one button, and I like OXVAs simple approach:
- Power Off/On – 5 Clicks
- Wake Screen – 1 Click
- Switch Modes (Boost/Eco) – 2 Clicks
- Adjust Wattage – 3 Clicks
- Adjust Theme – 4 Clicks
- Clear Puffs – 7 Clicks
- Operating Guide – Long Press
The built-in user guide (with a long press) – is a thoughtful touch for those who inevitably lose the manual.

All the essential safety protections are included – low battery warning, short circuit protection, 8-second cutoff, and temperature protection.
There’s also 2A fast charging and passthrough vaping on board – more on this later.
Display/Themes
The NeXLIM’s three display themes each bring something different to the table, balancing functionality with fun.
The Classic theme is your straightforward, no-nonsense option that prioritizes information. It uses a clean, green-tinted display that shows everything you need at a glance – your current mode at the top, dual battery indicators on the sides, central wattage display, and a bottom row for your puff counter and resistance. During vaping, the screen simply goes blank without any animations, making it perfect for vapers who just want the facts.

The Robot theme, while being the least informative, is the most fun and unique. It features an adorable animated face that transforms while you vape – the eyes morphing into hearts and displaying an “AMAZING” message with each puff. You’ll only see your power level and a small flame icon when in BOOST mode, but there’s something oddly satisfying about seeing that little face react to your vaping. It’s style over substance, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
The Cyberpunk theme strikes a nice balance between the two extremes. It features a dynamic volcanic animation (or spiritual fog, depending on how you interpret it) while still maintaining decent information display. You’ll get your wattage and mode at the top, battery percentage under a spark symbol, plus resistance and puff counter, all while enjoying some animated effects during use. It’s the middle ground between the all-business Classic theme and the playful Robot theme.
Pods/Coils
The heart of any pod system is its coils, and OXVA has really pushed the envelope here with their new dual mesh technology.
The NeXLIM comes with two pod options out of the box – a 0.6Ω and a 0.8Ω – with a 1.2Ω pod available separately.
Here are their specs:
- 0.6Ω (Black) = 20-40W range
- 0.8Ω (Orange) = 12-32W range
- 1.2Ω (Green) = 10-25W range
OXVA has also color-coded the bases of each pod to help them stand out. I appreciate that little design touch here, and I really like the orange and green bases on the pods.

I’ve been testing both included pods extensively over the past couple of weeks, and I’ve got to say, I’m genuinely impressed with what OXVA has achieved here.
The NeXlim pods are significantly chunkier than previous OXVA offerings (sorry XLIM users, these aren’t backward compatible). Still, there’s a good reason for that extra bulk – they’re housing dual mesh coils.
The pods have a 4ml capacity (2ml TPD) and are fairly tinted, but it’s still easy to check your juice level. The mouthpiece is surprisingly comfortable despite the larger size.
The side-fill port is well-designed with a secure rubber plug that hasn’t given me any leaking issues during testing.

To fill, I usually just turn the device upside down and open the plug on the pod. Then i fill up while it’s inverted. That leaves me with minimal mess, and I don’t have to remove the pod.
While it’s not as seamless as other top-fills, I don’t mind OXVA’s implementation here.
The 0.8Ω pod has become my go-to for MTL and restricted direct lung vaping. Running it between 12-32W (I found my sweet spot at around 16W in ECO mode), it handles both 50/50 and 70/30 VG/PG ratios like a champ.
The flavor is exceptional – I’ve been using my usual test juice (a complex fruity blend), and I’m picking up notes I typically only get from higher-powered sub-ohm tanks. In BOOST mode at 30W, it’s like MTL vaping on steroids – intense flavor without getting uncomfortably hot.
The 0.6Ω pod (rated for 20-40W) is clearly aimed at direct lung vapers, and it delivers a warmer, denser vape. I’ve been running this mainly with 70/30 juices, and the wicking keeps up beautifully even during chain vaping sessions. However, I found myself sticking with the 0.8Ω pod more often, as it offers a better balance for my vaping style.
What’s really impressed me is the longevity of these pods.
OXVA claims the NeXLIM pods have a 200% longer lifespan and can last up to 15 refills.
For once, I don’t think that’s just marketing speak.
I’m currently 48ml (12 refills) into testing the 0.8Ω pod (mixing between ECO and BOOST modes), and the flavor is still going strong.
The dual mesh design genuinely extends pod life while delivering consistent flavor.
For context, that’s significantly better than what I typically see from similar devices in this category.
I wish OXVA had the 1.2Ω pod in the kit to test. It would’ve been good to see how that stacks up, especially for true MTL enthusiasts.
Performance
After spending a solid two weeks with the NeXLIM as my daily driver, I can confidently say this device punches well above its weight class when it comes to performance.
I’ve tested it with various e-liquids across both pods, and the results have consistently impressed me – though there are a few quirks worth noting.
Let’s start with the 0.8Ω pod, which quickly became my favorite of the two.
In ECO mode at 16W, it delivers a perfectly balanced vape with outstanding flavor. What really surprised me was switching to BOOST mode at 30W – the flavor intensity ramps up significantly without getting uncomfortably hot, something that other dual-coil pods I’ve tested often struggle with.
The airflow control is impressively precise with this pod; I could dial in anything from a medium MTL to a restricted DL hit with no turbulence or whistling.
The 0.6Ω pod (tested at 22W in ECO and 38W in BOOST) is clearly aimed at direct lung vapers, and it performs great here.
Running my usual 70/30 test juice, the vapor production is substantial, and the flavor is rich and full.
One aspect that really impressed me was the consistency of performance across different modes and power levels. The wicking keeps up beautifully even during chain vaping sessions – I deliberately tried to push it to its limits and couldn’t get a dry hit. This is particularly impressive given the dual mesh design, which theoretically requires more efficient wicking than single-coil setups.
The airflow range deserves special mention. With the 0.8Ω pod installed, you can get anywhere from a tight/medium MTL to RDL – everything I want in a pod. The 0.6Ω pod opens up even further, for all ranges of RDL. It’s not a fully open direct-lung, but maybe with the power of the device, OXVA might release a 0.4Ω pod with a more open bore for an open DL.
The only real performance niggle I encountered was occasional condensation building up around the pod connection after extended use in BOOST mode. It’s minimal compared to some other pods I’ve tested, but it’s worth mentioning. A quick wipe every now and then keeps everything running smoothly.
Battery Life & Charging
The NeXLIM’s 1500mAh battery might not sound massive compared to something like the VPrime’s 2600mAh, but OXVA has done an excellent job optimizing battery efficiency here.
In my testing with the 0.8Ω pod in ECO mode (16W), I consistently got between 6-9 hours of heavy use, averaging around 350 puffs per charge. Even with the 0.6Ω pod in BOOST mode (38W), I still managed a respectable 7 hours with about 280 puffs.
The device holds its output consistently until around 10% battery, after which you’ll notice a slight drop in performance – much better than some competitors that start struggling at 20%.
The NeXLIM has USB-C 2A quick charging. I’m happy to report it lives up to OXVA’s claims. A full charge from empty takes around 40 minutes in my testing, which is impressively quick for a battery this size.
Pass-through vaping is also supported, though I noticed the device gets slightly warm if you’re using it while charging in BOOST mode.

Verdict
After spending two weeks putting the OXVA NeXLIM through its paces, I can confidently say it’s one of the most impressive pod systems I’ve tested.
It’s got all the features I look for in a pod vape. But more importantly, it delivers a fantastic vape in such a classy package.
The dual mesh technology elevates the flavor production beyond what I’ve come to expect from pod systems, rivaling some of my favorite sub-ohm tanks.
The ability to switch between ECO and BOOST modes gives you genuine flexibility in how you vape, whether you’re prioritizing battery life or flavor intensity. And speaking of battery life, the 1500mAh and its efficiency are great.
I absolutely love the premium feel and look of the NeXLIM. I stand by the fact it’s the best device OXVA has made, and it’s the one pod vape I keep reaching for.
I guess the question is, if you already own the XLIM, should you upgrade?
While I’m a huge fan of the XLIM devices, and their pods also deliver fantastic flavor. I would say it’s still worth the upgrade if you can afford it.The NeXLIM just feels like a more polished package, and I think the increased lifespan of these new pods will be worth it in the long term. It’s easily one of the best pod vapes on the market right now – highly recommended.
