Design & Build Quality
Taking the XLIM Go out of the box, it’s immediately apparent that this is a XLIM device.
OXVA has a very distinct design language with the XLIM lineup, and the GO fits right in.
But for what is marketed as an affordable, budget XLIM. The Go has what I’d class as a more premium finish than most other pods.
On the front and back of the GO, you have fake leather panels that feature a textured pattern.

The leather panels are stitched onto the frame with contrasting thread, and I absolutely love the way they look. I also really love the extra grip they give you.
An embossed “OXVA” logo on the front leather panel completes that classy styling.
I think OXVA has done a good job of mixing up the colors of the panels. They vary from sleek black, white, or grey to more vibrant green or pink. Plenty of options.
The GO measures 110mm tall, 23mm wide and only 14mm thick. Practically the same as other XLIM devices and a touch shorter than the Caliburn G3.
It’s extremely comfortable and compact. No complaints there.

The XLIM GO also has the OXVA symbol on the front, which acts as an LED battery indicator. It’s well-implemented and gives you 3 levels. Which is fine for a simple pod device.
OXVA has put a lot of thought into the design and construction of this device.
The adjustable airflow slider on the side of the XLIM Go is nicely designed too. It’s recessed into the frame and has a textured surface, making it easy to adjust but sturdy enough not to move accidentally.
The USB-C charging port is located on the opposite side of the device, and the bottom of the XLIM Go is rounded off for a nice, smooth finish.

The pods connect with strong magnets, which is great. But there’s a little wobble with the ones I’m testing, but it’s not too concerning.
Overall, the build quality of the OXVA XLIM Go is great. Even though it’s a budget device, it feels and looks as good as all the other XLIM products.

Features
With a name like XLIM Go, it’s obvious that it’s not going to be the most feature-rich pod device.
However, the Go covers the essentials well.
It comes with a 1000mAh battery, with an output range of 5-30W. The wattage adjusts automatically based on the resistance of the pod you’re using.
There’s adjustable airflow, which covers a tight MTL draw up to a looser RDL vape.
There is no display. Instead, the front has an RGB LED light that indicates the battery life. Battery levels are as follows:
- Green = 60-100%
- Blue = 20-60%
- Red = < 20%

The lights act the same when it comes to charging.
However, one place the OXVA shows its more affordable feature set is with the charging. Unfortunately, it only supports a 1A charge rate, so that means the charge time is just over an hour.
Keeping things streamlined and easy to use, the GO does not have buttons. It relies solely on auto-draw activation. But the auto-draw trigger works well.
The XLIM Go also features the expected safety protections including short-circuit protection, low voltage protection, and a 10-second cutoff.

Pods/Coils
The XLIM Go uses OXVA’s current line of XLIM pods.
We’ve covered them in detail in previous reviews, and they are some of the best currently on the market.
They have a 2ml capacity and come in a range of resistances:
- 0.4Ω (RDL)
- 0.6Ω (RDL)
- 0.8Ω (MTL-RDL)
- 1.2Ω (MTL)
However, in the XLIM Go kit, you only get one pod included, which is the 0.8Ω.
Personally, I think this is the best pod for pairing with the GO and my favorite of the MTL range.

But I wish they included more than one pod.
I know this is meant to be a budget, affordable pod kit. But if you buy the kit and have a faulty pod, you’re kind of stuck.
That being said, I’ve had no issues with any of the XLIM pods while testing. No leaking, spitting or early burn out.
The pods have a side/top filling method, which uses a silicon plug. It’s also to use and pretty mess-free. But it’s not quite as easy as the top-fill method of the Xros family.

Performance
So, how does the OXVA XLIM Go actually perform? In short, just as good as other XLIM devices, which is – impressively well.
The real key to the performance of the XLIM Go is with the pods.
As we mentioned in our XLIM Pro review, and even the XLIM CRC review. These pods are fantastic at delivering really punchy flavor.
They have virtually no breaking in time, and can cope with most types of juices. With the 0.8Ω I tend to stick to a 50/50 or 60/40 as I think that works best for MTL.

The XLIM pods are easily some of the best on the market right now. But I think they fall a little short of the Caliburns in terms of longevity.
If you are using a particularly sweet juice (like I often do). You will notice the flavor decline after a couple of weeks. But that’s kind of par for the course and still a good performance.
As for the XLIM Go device – it’s exactly what you’d expect.
It delivers performance that’s just as good as other XLIMs.
The airflow control is great and one of the best on a pod vape. It holds in place well and covers all ranges.

It’s one of the few that you can really shut down and get a perfectly tight MTL. And it’s a super smooth draw.
A key difference between the Go and the XLIM Pro is there’s no ability to adjust the power. But in all honesty, I didn’t miss it.
The GO does a good job of setting the power based on the coil. It’s easier for the user, and I’m more than happy with the vape it puts out.

Battery life is more than respectable. Especially when using the 0.8Ω pod. I had no issues making it through a full day of moderate to heavy vaping.
The only significant downside with the GO is the 1A charging. I know OXVA needed to cut corners somewhere to keep the price down. But it is a slow charger at around 60 minutes.

Verdict
The OXVA XLIM Go is a sleek, simple, and affordable pod vape.
It delivers the same excellent performance as other XLIM devices, even with its stripped-back features.
I love the styling of the GO with the leather panels. It’s compact and comfortable to use.
If it weren’t for the slow 1A charging, I’d go with GO over the Pro (that’s a mouthful!).
Most won’t need or miss the adjustable power, and it’s far easier to use the device. Perfect for beginner vapers.
The only other drawback of the GO budget option is there’s only one pod included in the kit. But that fact it’s compatible with the full XLIM range is great.
If simplicity, style, and performance are your top priorities, the OXVA XLIM Go is definitely worth considering.
