Smoant Cylon TC 218 Intro
Smoant has produced some extremely successful dual 18650 devices, with the Battlestar and Charon being highly rated. Now they have decided to re-enter the market with a more premium design and an upgraded Ant218 V2 chip.
What Is it?
The Smoant Cylon TC 218 is a dual 18650 box mod with a 1.3 inch TFT color screen and high-quality leather accents.
It measures in at 90mm tall by 47mm wide and 32mm deep; so it may not be the smallest dual battery mod but is still fairly compact. It features a centered solid mounted 510 which is capable of accommodating atomizers up to 30mm.
On the front and center of the device is the impressive 1.3 inch TFT color screen, which they claim has a user interface derived from the Lexus LS Sport. This design choice along with the genuine leather sidebars show this mod is directed at the luxury car enthusiast.
However, it’s not all looks over function as Smoant has upgraded their already competent chipset to the Ant218 V2 which boasts a virtually instant firing response time of 0.015 seconds.
It also features custom Wattage and Temperature Curve modes for a more comprehensive vaping experience and is firmware upgradeable.
The Smoant Cylon will be available in Black and Tarnish.
Who is it for?
The Smoant Cylon is geared towards vapers looking for a premium appearance in a dual 18650 box mod. It’s better suited to users that are more partial to luxury car styling over the often seen garish vibrant sports car colors of some mods.

Our Vibe
Looks can often be deceiving, and there have been countless times when a new mod has come out, and from the promotional material they look incredible and premium – but in reality, they just don’t match up.
That being said Smoant does not have as bad a track record as other manufacturers with build quality. So as long as they have used genuine quality materials, I’m sure this is going to be a huge hit.
I’m more curious to see how vast the improvements are that Smoant has made to the ANT chipset and whether the UI is just another sales gimmick, or whether it is actually an enjoyable and accurate experience.
