Smok Nord Cube Kit | Preview

Just when you thought Smok had released every type of pod or AIO system, they come out with another!

This time it’s the Smok Nord Cube Kit, which features a 1800mAh internal battery and a maximum output power of 30W.

The Nord Cube reminds me of the Joyetech Penguin in its size and with a similar shaped curved body. Although it seems to have the perfect curvature for the palm so it should be good in the hand.

There’s also a user-friendly side-mounted large fire button, with an LED battery indicator just above, and a micro-USB port for charging just below.

The pods for the Nord Cube have a 4.5ml capacity and much like other recent Smok devices take the Nord replacement coils, and it comes with the 0.6-ohm Mesh, and 0.8-ohm MTL included. But will also be compatible with any of the Nord coil family.

The Nord Cube features short circuit and low voltage protection and has an 8-second cut-off.

Smok has been a little more reserved than usual with the color schemes with the Nord Cube and kept it simple two-tone.

The Nord Cube is currently available in Black/Red, Red/Black, White/Black, Blue/Black, Yellow/Black, and Purple/Black.

I like that Smok has reverted to more simple styling with this device, it almost looks like an all-in-one version of a Priv mod.

The ergonomic design does look good, but fundamentally it’s just a Nord with a greater juice and battery capacity.

However, that’s not such a bad thing as lots of vapers are fans of the Nord, and the coils do perform exceptionally well.

Personally, I’d like to see Smok include some form of airflow adjustment with these AIO/pod style device. They have the coils for it, but the airflow always seems to be on the loose side for a decent tight MTL.

That being said a 1800mAh battery and 4.5ml capacity would probably make this suited to sub-ohm vaping with those 0.6-ohm mesh coils.

Vapers looking for an easy to use a refillable all-in-one system that has a large battery and juice capacity, with a good option of replacement coils.
