Design & Build Quality
The Fero Box Pro takes a bit of a departure in design from the original Fero Box (which I loved). You could say it’s a more premium and refined look.
At 62 x 51.5 x 20.4mm, it’s close in size to the non-Pro version. Still, it comes in a little wider and somehow feels more substantial in hand – probably thanks to that gorgeous new display taking center stage.
Suorin has completely reimagined the front panel. Gone is that wrap-around RGB light strip from the original (which, let’s be honest, you couldn’t turn off and got a bit annoying). Instead, we’ve got this brilliant 1.8-inch IPS display that’s absolutely stunning to look at. The colors are vibrant, the text is crisp, and it adds a level of sophistication that the original just couldn’t match.

The aluminum alloy construction feels every bit as premium as the original – maybe even better. I’ve got the Void Black version here for review, and that brushed metallic finish with the black panel accent is just chef’s kiss. What’s particularly nice is that the “Fero Box Pro” logo at the bottom lights up in a rainbow pattern when you vape – though thankfully, you can switch this off if you prefer a more subtle approach.
It’s still got those lovely curves in all the right places, and crucially, it still sits perfectly stable thanks to that flat bottom. No more wobbling around like the pen-style Feros. The overall form factor feels familiar yet refined – like they’ve taken everything that worked and just polished it to perfection.
One thing that hasn’t changed (thankfully) is that fantastic airflow control system on the back. It’s still seamlessly integrated into the black panel, smooth to operate, and gives you that perfect range from tight MTL to restricted DL. The resistance is spot-on – firm enough that you won’t accidentally adjust it in your pocket, but easy enough to dial in your preferred draw.

The magnetic pod connection feels solid and secure, and I’m happy to report that the slight wobble I experienced with my original Fero Box unit isn’t present here. The pods click in with a satisfying snap and stay put during use.
If I had to nitpick, I’d say the fire button feels a lot mushier than I’d like, but honestly, that’s being incredibly picky. The overall build quality is great for a device at this price point – it genuinely feels like something that costs twice as much.
Features
This is where the Fero Box Pro absolutely shines compared to its non-Pro sibling.
The original Fero Box felt a bit “lite” on features – great performance, but limited control. The Pro version? Well, it’s Pro by name and Pro by features.
The star of the show is obviously that 1.8-inch IPS display. Coming from the original’s RGB light system (which only showed battery status through colors), this is a massive upgrade.
You get real-time wattage, resistance readings, battery percentage, puff counter, and even customizable themes. The two available themes – “Interstellar” and “Minimalist” – offer quite different aesthetics, though I have to say, even the “Minimalist” theme feels pretty busy with all the UI elements packed in there.
The Interstellar theme is properly futuristic with its space-themed graphics, animated planets, and vibrant blue color scheme – it’s like having a little sci-fi movie on your device.
The Minimalist theme strips back some of the visual flourishes but still displays all your key data in a clean blue interface. Both look crisp and colorful, though I do wish there was an option for a truly stripped-back display for those who prefer absolute simplicity.

The dual power system is brilliant and addresses different user needs perfectly.
Starter mode gives you three simple options – Soft, Normal, and Boost – which auto-adjust the wattage based on your coil resistance. It’s perfect for beginners who just want to vape without fussing with settings.
But Master mode gives you full 1-30W adjustment in 1W increments. As someone who loves to fine-tune my vape, this is exactly what I wanted from the original.
Navigating the menu on the Box Pro is all done through the fire button. 5 clicks give you access to the menu.
While I’ve got no complaints with the implementation (as other pods have one-button control), I find the button far too mushy to easily control. There have been several times when I click the button and nothing happens.
Battery life remains impressive with that 1300mAh capacity, but now you can actually see exactly how much power you’ve got left. The 2A USB-C charging is properly fast too – about 40 minutes for a full charge, which is brilliant for a battery this size. Pass-through charging works flawlessly, though I noticed the display dims slightly when plugged in.
The safety features are comprehensive – 6-second cutoff, low voltage protection, short circuit protection, temperature monitoring, and overcharge protection. Plus, you can lock the fire button while keeping auto-draw active, which is perfect for pocket carry.
My only gripe? I wish you could turn off those puff animations on the display. They’re pretty, but sometimes I just want clean, minimal info. Still, this is light-years ahead of the original’s feature set.
Pods/Coils
Here’s where things get interesting – the Fero Box Pro uses the exact same pod system as the original Fero Box, which means all that excellent performance we raved about in our previous review carries over perfectly.
However, there’s a bit of confusion about what’s actually included versus what’s advertised.
The packaging indicates you should get a 0.4Ω and 0.6Ω pod pairing, which would be brilliant for showcasing the Pro’s enhanced power capabilities. Unfortunately, our review unit came with two 0.6Ω pods instead – a bit disappointing when you’re eager to test that 30W maximum output with a lower resistance coil.
Both included pods pack Suorin’s BPC (Boost, Pure, Clean) heating technology and maintain that excellent 3ml capacity (2ml TPD) with side-fill design and silicone plugs.
The slightly tinted PCTG construction strikes the perfect balance – durable enough for daily use but clear enough to easily check your juice levels.
Thankfully, there’s full cross-compatibility across the entire Fero range. You can use any of the four available resistances:
- 0.4Ω (24-28W): Perfect for RDL, though I’ll need to grab one separately to test
- 0.6Ω (18-23W): Perfect MTL balance, handles 50/50 beautifully
- 0.8Ω (12-16W): Tighter MTL, excellent throat hit
- 1.0Ω (10-14W): Cigarette-like draw, ideal for high-nic salts
The 0.6Ω pods I tested maintain that impressive coil longevity – consistently getting 30-45ml through each pod before any noticeable flavor drop-off, with zero leaking or spitback issues throughout testing.
I’m genuinely curious how the 0.4Ω pod would perform at higher wattages, but that’ll have to wait for a future test.
Performance
Right, this is where I get properly excited – because the Fero Box Pro delivers exactly what I hoped it would with the 0.6Ω pods I was able to test.
Remember how we were blown away by the original Fero Box’s flavor performance? Well, that same exceptional quality is here, but now you’ve got the power and control to really fine-tune the experience.
The performance with the 0.6Ω pods is identical to the original – which is to say, bloody brilliant. The flavor is crisp, clean, and punchy, easily matching heavyweights like the Caliburn G3 or Xros 5.

At 18-20W in Master mode, it produces that perfect MTL experience with just enough warmth and excellent throat hit. The airflow control lets you dial in anything from a tight cigarette-like draw to a more open MTL, and the auto-draw is consistently reliable at these settings.
I love that the adjustable wattage makes a genuine difference even with the same coil resistance. Being able to fine-tune in 1W increments means I can dial in the perfect temperature for different juices. Fruity flavors seem to pop at around 18W, while dessert vapes benefit from that extra couple of watts for added warmth. It’s the kind of control you’d expect from a ‘Pro’ device.

The dual activation works flawlessly with the 0.6Ω pods – both auto-draw and fire button are responsive and consistent. Wicking keeps up brilliantly even during chain vaping sessions, and I’ve had zero spitback or dry hits throughout my testing. Stick to 50/50 or 60/40 juices and you’ll be golden.
Now, I’m genuinely gutted I didn’t get to test the 0.4Ω pod that should have been included. Based on my experience with similar resistances in other devices, I reckon it would absolutely sing at the Pro’s higher wattage range, delivering proper RDL performance with masses of vapor production. That’s definitely something I’ll be picking up separately to test.

Verdict
The Suorin Fero Box Pro is everything I wanted the original to be. It takes that brilliant flavor performance and premium build quality I loved, then adds the features that actually matter: a gorgeous display, full wattage control, and smart dual-mode operation.
The 1.8-inch IPS screen and wattage control genuinely transform the user experience. And the clean, crisp flavor from the Suorin pods is exceptional.
Sure, it’s pricier than simple auto-draw devices, but you’re getting mod-level features in a genuinely pocketable package. The cross-compatibility with all Fero pods is the cherry on top.
Who should buy it? Anyone stepping up from basic pods who wants more control without the bulk of a traditional mod. MTL vapers will love the 0.6Ω pod performance, while RDL enthusiasts will appreciate the availability of a 0.4Ω option.
Who shouldn’t? If you’re perfectly happy with simple, fixed-output devices and don’t care about displays or wattage adjustment, stick with something basic and save your money.
Bottom line: this is a great, feature-rich pod system. I think Suorin has ticked all the right boxes with the Pro – it’s everything the original should have been from day one.
