The Melody Max Pro comes with 11ml of pre-filled juice and can deliver up to 5000 puffs per disposable.

It also features USB-C charging and comes in a range of flavors.

Nicotine-free disposables are hard to find, and can be a little hit and miss. So let’s see just how good the vape experience is with Melody Max Pro.

Design

The Melody Max Pro comes in bright and vibrant colors, following the path of the most common disposables on the market.

It has the same box-style form factor we’ve become accustomed to but is still nice and compact, measuring 78 x 39 x 18mm. So it’s still a pocket-friendly disposable and is easily concealed in the palm of your hand.

The Max Pro is also a pleasant device to hold as it has a nice rubberized coating on the main body to give it a tactile feel and extra grip. The top and bottom of the device are still glossy plastic, but the contrast adds a nice bit of styling to them.

As is typical with disposables, each device is colored to match the flavor profile within, and TryMelody has done a good job with the color schemes.

The flavor of each disposable is also printed on the side of the device, along with the Melody logo. There’s also 0% printed beneath the flavor to remind you that it’s a nicotine-free vape and that you’ve taken the path of freeing yourself from nicotine (or, in my case, just having a break).

The mouthpiece on the Melody Max Pro is comfortable to use and protrudes enough from the device to wrap your lips around. There’s also a lanyard anchor on the other side of the device if you wish to dangle this colorful box from your neck.

On the base of the Melody Max Pro, you will find a blue LED that lights up each time you puff on the device. There is a small airflow hole, but sadly no adjustable airflow. However, the Max Pro does deliver a perfect MTL draw, which is ideal for its target market.

Also located on the device’s base is the USB-C port for recharging. Unfortunately, try Melody does not state the battery capacity inside the device, but I assume it is in line with most disposables this size in the 600-800mAh range.

Overall the Melody Max Pro stands its ground against some of the most popular disposables on the market regarding build quality, the only difference being it’s nicotine free.

Let’s take a look at how well it performs and what the flavor range is like.

Flavors

Peach Ice

A very light but good Peach Ice. You get very subtle but juicy notes of peach on the inhale, which is swiftly followed by the powerful cool breeze that lights up your tongue on the exhale. Unfortunately, it’s a little too heavy on the cooling.

Cool Mint

A very clean cool mint flavor. On the inhale, you get the subtle minty taste. Then there’s a cool, crisp sensation on the exhale reminiscent of chewing a piece of spearmint gum.

Raspberry Lemonade

A sharp fruity blend. You get subtle hints of Raspberry with more of a tart and tangy lemonade finish. It delivers a fruity and tangy aroma but is more of a cool lemon breeze on the tongue.

Blue Razz

The classic taste of a sweet, syrupy blue Raspberry slushie laced with cooling for maximum refreshment. This blue razz vape flavor gives you the perfect fusion of sweet and tart flavors—a solid Blue Razz vape.

Grape Ice

A Grape Ice that delivers a refreshing punch like a fresh grape soda. The sweetness of the Grape is nice and juicy without being too artificial—a really delicious flavor for anyone who likes Grape vapes.

Watermelon Ice

A delicious Watermelon Ice. It has a nice strong Watermelon on the inhale that delivers the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering or artificial. The Ice comes through on the exhale to freshen things up without taking over—an excellent Watermelon Ice.

Performance

It’s worth noting that the first thing that hit me with the Melody Max Pro was the delightful scent each disposable gave off when opening them. I know you can smell the flavors of most disposable vapes, but these just caught me by surprise.

Thankfully those pleasant-smelling flavors are still present from when you take your first puff, and I was really impressed with the flavor delivered from each Max Pro.

TryMelody has tried to strike a good balance between delivering enough sweetness from each flavor without being too overpowering. I wouldn’t say they are mellow vapes, but they are definitely something you can vape on all day without becoming too sickly.

Another thing that impressed me with the Melody Max Pro is the overall quality of the vape it delivers. As a nicotine-free vape, I was expecting them to be a bit lacking in the throat hit department, but they actually do a pretty good job, and you’d struggle to tell they don’t contain nicotine.

The draw from each disposable is perfect, and it’s a nice smooth MTL draw. It’s tight enough to satisfy the true MTL vapers or those transitioning from cigarettes. I know the Max Pro doesn’t have adjustable airflow, but in all honesty, it really doesn’t need it.

They also deliver a decent amount of vapor which helps to provide that satisfying vape feeling, along with the Ice kick on some of the flavors.

Although I really enjoyed the flavors on offer (especially the Blue Razz Watermelon Ice and Grape Ice), the range is a bit limited at present. They are quite simple fruit flavors, and there’s no tobacco flavor – which some might like to see if they are trying to quit the stinkies.

That being said, I enjoyed each fruit flavor on offer, and the Cool Mint was also a decent blend.

I have to say that I caught myself several times double-checking the packaging to ensure they didn’t have nicotine, as they felt just like regular disposables.

They also helped me cut back my nicotine intake for the day, as I felt adequately satiated just from the act of vaping with the Melody Max Pros. However, I did still get a few nicotine cravings, but it’s good to know they can still deliver a great experience and will help those trying to lower their nicotine intake.

Verdict

The Melody Max Pro is definitely one of the best nicotine-free vapes on the market.

They deliver an excellent vape experience with a smooth draw and impressive flavor. The lack of nicotine doesn’t detract from the vape quality. Even though it’s not quite the same as a nicotine disposable, it’s close enough that most wouldn’t notice. 

The Melody Max Pro comes in a compact, pocket-friendly form factor with a nice rubberized coating on the body and has very good build quality.

If you are looking to cut back on nicotine or even be free of it entirely, then the Melody Max Pro is definitely worth your time. They provide an excellent experience without the nicotine.
