Vandy Vape JACKAROO Kit | Preview

The Vandy Vape JACKAROO Kit is a durable IP67 waterproof protective device that comes with a 5ml capacity mesh coil tank.

The JACKAROO Kit is Vandy Vape’s answer to the Geekvape’s Aegis Mini. It features IP67 waterproof protection and is also shock resistant.

The Vandy Vape JACKAROO Kit has a compact design measuring in at 91mm by 48mm by 29mm without the tank.

Even though it’s a portable device it can utilize a single battery of 21700, 20700 or 18650 battery (with included 18650 adapter), and has a power output range of 5W to 100W.

The JACKAROO is powered by an updated Vandy Vape Chipset, which supports various output modes, including power mode, voltage mode, TC and Bypass mode.

It also has a customizable large 0.91-inch OLED TFT color screen. There is a micro-USB for firmware upgrade, but it is tucked behind the side panels (to help waterproof protection). So you are not able to charge the batteries in the device.

Included with the kit is 26mm diameter tank, which has a 3.5 ml (or 5ml with bubble glass) capacity, dual bottom airflow and an easy top fill system. The tank has a resin style drip tip and comes with two mesh coils, a 0.15ohm and 0.3ohm resistance that fire best between 40 and 90 watts.

You can get the JACKAROO Kit with either Resin or G10 curved side panels, and they are replaceable so you can customize the design.

There are currently 10 colors available:
Resin – Red Pomegranate, Green Jade, Gold Agate, and Blue Porcelain.

G10- Red Ridge, American Eagle, Obsidian Black, Blue Python, Orange Viper, Green Anaconda.

Vapers looking for a portable and robust single battery device with mesh coils. Especially suited to those that work outdoors or are prone to dropping and breaking mods.

Geekvape Aegis Kit, Geekvape Aegis Mini Kit

The JACKAROO Kit does have quite a pleasant style to it, with plenty of cool looking side panels. I do think it looks better than the Aegis kit.

Even though it’s quite a compact design for a 21700 device, you’ll have to bear in mind that any mod that is shock resistant tends to be slightly bulkier than regular mods.

As for all the durability and waterproof claims, we have to wait and see some of the YouTube reviewers smashing with hammers to find out. However, I’m sure it’s going to be just as durable as the Aegis.

The tank that comes with it is a pretty simple mesh sub-ohm tank, so I’m sure it’s going to produce good flavor. As for the lifespan of those Vandy Vape coils, again we’ll have to wait and see.

All-in-all it looks to be a decent kit with plenty of features, and a worthy competitor to the Aegis when it comes to durable mods.
