Vandy Vape is a relatively new in vaping industry, although they do have pedigree within their team from Geek Vape. However, it’s got to be said they are one of the most exciting manufacturers currently out there. Their readiness to try new ideas has not only made them stand out in a crowded market, but it is helping them steadily winning over supporters with each new release.
Vandy Vape is pushing the mesh atomizer category forward, and this time it’s an RTA they add to their armory.

Mesh might finally hit the mainstream
A few years back when mesh wicks first made their appearance, it was unclear whether it was just a fad, or whether they would be the next best thing in vaping. However, they seemed to fizzle out, until recently. Now Vandy Vape has reimagined it as a heating element; it is once again becoming the buzzword.
Vandy Vape is now the first manufacturer to utilize mesh in an RTA. It is a brave choice for such a new brand, especially given the consensus around mesh as a heating element in general. However, it’s this original path of design that has helped drive their recent success.
The Mesh RTA is 24 mm in diameter. It has an average height of 39 mm and comes with a step-shaped pyrex glass. There is also an adapter in the kit to change the reservoir size from 2 ml (TPD Compliant) to the larger 4 ml capacity. The tank also features a slide-out top cap to make refilling easy and fuss-free.
The Mesh RTA has top airflow by design, where the air will direct down from the top inlets onto the mesh element. One would assume this is the only viable option with the airflow, as a mesh build and bottom airflow may have given a higher possibility of leaking issues. A wise choice by Vandy Vape to help minimize any challenges faced when wicking mesh coil builds.
The kit will include two variants of stainless steel mesh; one rated at 0.37 and the other 0.43 Ohms – both promising excellent flavor and vapor production. Also included are an Ultem and Delrin doc drip tip (with a 510 adapter).
Whether the Mesh RTA is a significant success or not, I’m glad Vandy Vape are taking bold decisions, and trying to reinvent the mesh medium. It could potentially spark a new era in rebuildable tank atomizers.
