The Vaporesso Degree Pod Kit has emerged out of nowhere and looks ready to shake up the pod mod category.
In a time when we see so many similar pod devices from manufacturers, it’s good to see Vaporesso taking from the good but adding something new.
The Degree Pod Kit is a variable wattage device powering between 5-30W. It has a 0.69 inch OLED display to see all of your settings and battery status.
Speaking of batteries, there’s an in-built 950mAh capacity battery, which supports 2A quick charge via micro USB.
One of the unique features of the Degree Pod is the built-in temperature control preventing dry hits. This is possible thanks to the new Axon chip that Vaporesso has utilized, and which we recently saw in the Gen mod.
The Degree Pod and Axon chip also have the ability to warn you when your liquid level is low by displaying a message on the screen. Which will certainly come in handy as the pod sits internal to the device, and there’s only a small window to see the liquid level.
There are two different pod options for the Degree Kit, both have a 2ml capacity:
- CCELL Pod – 1.3ohm coil
- Meshed Pod – 0.6ohm mesh coil
The pods feature Vaporesso’s push to fill port (PTF) that we recently saw in the Vaporesso Podstick.
It looks like the coils are built into the pods, and they slot into the main body of the device, held in place by magnets.
However, the fill port opening is on top of the device, so you can refill the pod without having to remove it from the device. Vaporesso claims they are leak-proof and hassle-free.
There’s also top adjustable airflow on the drip tip, which also looks like it’s non-removable.
The Vaporesso Degree Pod Kit is available in 6 colors: Marble, Lava, Silver Carbon, Grey Carbon, Red and Blue.
The Degree Pod Kit by Vaporesso is quite an interesting one.
Firstly the design looks like a mash-up between the Artery Pal devices and a Lost Vape Orion with a screen.
I really like what Vaporesso has done with the pod integration and the fill port. There’s nothing more annoying than having to remove the pod from a device to refill or to fuss around with a silly rubber plug.
However, I think the real unique feature of the Degree Pod is the Axon Chipset giving the ability to utilize temp control and prevent dry-hits. Especially as it’s backed up by an OLED screen showing the vaper what’s going on with the device and coil.
Vaporesso typically does a stellar job when it comes to coils and vape experience, and I’m expecting this feature-rich pod system to be no exception.
