Product Description

The Vaporesso Vibe and Vibe SE are the latest additions to Vaporesso’s new innovative MTL pod system range, and of course, we absolutely love the name!

But honestly, they’ve brought something genuinely interesting to the table with these devices.

At their core, both devices feature the same internal 1100mAh battery and utilize Vaporesso’s innovative dual mesh coil technology in their 4.5ml pods (2ml for TPD regions).

The main difference between the two is that the standard Vibe features a 0.54″ OLED screen displaying battery level, puff count, and mode, while the Vibe SE opts for a simpler RGB light indicator.

What makes these devices stand out is their clever mode-switching capability – simply flick the switch on the side to toggle between ECO mode (using one coil at 0.8Ω/14W) and PWR mode (engaging both coils at 0.4Ω/24W). This essentially gives you two different vaping experiences from a single pod.

The Vibe and Vibe SE are available in an assortment of colors (listed in the specs below).

Design & Build Quality

When I first unboxed the Vibe and Vibe SE, I was immediately struck by their vibrant colors and sleek design. Both devices sport what Vaporesso calls a “squashed pen style” – taller than they are wide, with a comfortable ergonomic shape that feels natural in the hand.

The Vibe SE I received for review came in this eye-catching green/blue gradient that catches the light beautifully. It’s clearly designed with style-conscious vapers in mind, and while some might find the colors a bit too vibrant, I actually quite like the look. If you prefer something more subtle, they’re also available in more subdued options like black.

Despite their lightweight plastic construction (coming in at just 50g), both devices feel surprisingly solid and well-built. There’s no rattling or cheap feel here – Vaporesso has done a good job creating something that’s light without feeling flimsy. After two weeks of carrying them around in my pocket alongside keys and loose change, the finish has held up remarkably well with minimal scratches.

The Vibe features a 0.54″ OLED screen that displays all the essential information – battery level, mode, wattage, and puff count. It’s not the largest or most high-resolution display I’ve seen, but it’s clear and easy to read even in outdoor lighting. The Vibe SE, meanwhile, keeps things even simpler with just an RGB indicator light that changes from green (ECO mode) to orange (PWR mode) when you switch modes.

Both devices feature a small window to check your e-liquid level, though I found this to be one of the few design missteps – the tinted pods and small viewport make it difficult to accurately gauge how much juice you have left. I often found myself popping the pod out to check the level, which isn’t a huge inconvenience but could have been better implemented.

The mode switch on the side of both devices is perfectly tactile and has a satisfying click when you toggle between settings. It’s positioned well, making it easy to change modes on the fly without accidentally triggering it during normal use.

The USB-C is also located in exactly the same place on both the Vibe & SE. It’s on the opposite side of the mode switch. This also means you can stand the devices up while charging.

The pod connection is secure on both, with strong magnets guiding the pod smoothly into place with minimal wiggle. The mouthpiece is comfortable for extended vaping sessions, with a shape that fits naturally between the lips for MTL vaping.

Overall, while not pushing any boundaries in terms of materials used, the design is functional, comfortable, and stylish – exactly what you want from an everyday pod system.

Features

The Vaporesso Vibe and Vibe SE are deliberately simple devices, focusing on doing a few things exceptionally well rather than overwhelming users with options and menus.

The standout feature is undoubtedly the mode-switching capability. Both devices feature a simple switch on the side that toggles between ECO and PWR modes. What makes this interesting is how comprehensive the change is – flipping the switch doesn’t just change the wattage, it actually alters which coil elements are engaged, creating two distinctly different vaping experiences from the same pod.

In ECO mode, only one of the mesh coils is activated at 0.8Ω, delivering 14W of power and a tighter draw. Switch to PWR mode, and both mesh coils engage for a combined 0.4Ω resistance and 24W output, providing a warmer vape with more vapor production and a slightly looser draw. It’s bloody brilliant in its simplicity!

The Vibe features a small but functional OLED screen that displays your current mode, battery level, puff count, and wattage. It’s not fancy, but it gives you all the information you need at a glance.

The Vibe SE strips this back even further, using an RGB indicator light that glows green in ECO mode and orange in PWR mode. The light also serves as a battery indicator, changing colors as your charge depletes:

  • Green: 70-100%
  • Blue: 30-70%
  • Red: 0-30%

Both devices are draw-activated with no fire button, making them perfect for beginners or those transitioning from disposables. The draw activation is responsive and consistent, triggering reliably with each puff regardless of which mode you’re in.

Both devices come with all the standard safety features you’d expect – 8-second cutoff, short-circuit protection, low voltage protection, and so on.

Nothing revolutionary, but all the essential bases are covered.

What impresses me most about the feature set is how Vaporesso has made something genuinely innovative (the dual mesh technology) incredibly easy to use. There’s no menu diving or complex settings – just flip a switch and your entire vaping experience changes. For someone like me who appreciates both simplicity and versatility, it’s a winning combination.

Pods/Coils

The heart of both the Vibe and Vibe SE is their innovative pod system, and this is where Vaporesso has really brought something interesting to the table.

Both devices use the same pods, which have a generous 4.5ml capacity (2ml for TPD regions) and utilize what Vaporesso calls “dual mesh technology.” Rather than having to swap out different pods or coils for different vaping experiences, these pods house two mesh coils in one – and the device activates either one or both depending on which mode you’re using.

In ECO mode, only one coil is engaged at 0.8Ω, delivering 14W of power. In PWR mode, both coils work together for a combined 0.4Ω resistance and 24W output. It’s a genuinely clever bit of engineering that makes switching between different vaping styles effortless.

The kit comes with one pod, which Vaporesso claims is good for an impressive 30+ refills or 50,000 puffs in ECO mode. That’s an ambitious claim, so I was keen to put it to the test.

I’ve been using these devices heavily for two weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the longevity. I’ve put at least 25ml of e-liquid through a single pod, and while there’s been a very slight drop-off in flavor intensity, it’s still performing admirably with no burnt hits or significant degradation.

The fill port is located on the side of the pod and is accessed by removing the pod from the device and pulling back a rubber plug. The port is a decent size, accommodating most e-liquid bottle nozzles without issue. The rubber plug feels secure and hasn’t loosened even after multiple refills, which is always a good sign for long-term durability.

One slight frustration with the pods is the tinting – it makes it harder than necessary to check your e-liquid level through the small viewport on the device. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but a clearer pod may have helped.

I’ve tested the pods with various e-liquids from 50/50 nic salts to 70/30 freebase, and they’ve handled everything without issue. The wicking keeps up well even with thicker juices, though I found the flavor was most vibrant with 60/40 or 50/50 blends.

Perhaps the most impressive aspect of these pods is how they manage to deliver two distinctly different vaping experiences without requiring any pod swapping or coil changes. The flavor is excellent in both modes, though PWR mode definitely has the edge in terms of intensity and vapor production.

Performance

After spending two solid weeks with both the Vibe and Vibe SE as my daily drivers, I can confidently say that these devices deliver performance well beyond their price point.

I’ve tested them with various e-liquids ranging from fruity nic salts to dessert freebase juices, and the results have consistently impressed me across both devices and modes.

Let’s start with ECO mode, which quickly became my go-to for everyday vaping. At 14W with just one coil engaged at 0.8Ω, it delivers a perfect MTL experience with excellent flavor clarity. What surprised me most was how satisfying this mode is despite the lower power – I found myself happily vaping in ECO for hours without feeling the need to switch up.

The draw in ECO mode is on the medium-tight side – not as restrictive as some dedicated MTL devices, but definitely tight enough for a satisfying experience. It’s perfect for nic salts, providing just the right amount of throat hit without being harsh. With my usual fruity nic salt juice, the flavor was crisp and well-defined, picking up subtle notes that some other pod systems miss entirely.

Flipping to PWR mode engages both coils for a combined 0.4Ω resistance and 24W output, and the difference is immediately noticeable. The vapor production increases significantly, the draw opens up slightly for a looser MTL or very restricted DL hit, and the flavor intensifies considerably. I was genuinely blown away by how much difference a simple flick of the switch makes to the entire experience.

With a complex e-liquid blend in PWR mode, the warmth of the vapor brings out the richer notes beautifully, while the dual mesh coils pick up all the subtleties in the flavor profile. It’s not quite on par with a dedicated sub-ohm tank, but it’s impressively close for such a compact device.

The auto-draw activation is among the most responsive I’ve tested recently. It triggers reliably with minimal effort in both modes, though I did notice it’s slightly more sensitive in ECO mode. In two weeks of testing, I haven’t had a single misfire or failure to activate – something that can’t be said for many draw-activated devices.

What really impresses me about the performance is the consistency. From the first puff to the last on a full pod, the flavor and vapor production remain remarkably stable. Even when chain vaping, the wicking keeps up admirably with no dry hits. And after two weeks of heavy use, the flavor is still nearly as good as day one – a testament to the quality of the coil design and materials.

In terms of e-liquid consumption, these pods are actually quite efficient in ECO mode. I found myself getting through around 3-3.5ml per day with moderate vaping. PWR mode, as expected, gets through juice a bit faster, but the trade-off in flavor intensity makes it worth it for those moments when you want a more satisfying hit.

The real genius of these devices is how they offer genuinely different vaping experiences with just a simple switch flip. I found myself using ECO mode for most of the day, then switching to PWR when I wanted that extra bit of satisfaction – like after a meal or with my morning coffee. It’s like having two devices in one, and it works brilliantly in practice.

Battery Life & Charging

Both the Vibe and Vibe SE pack an internal 1100mAh battery, which is quite respectable for devices of this size and weight. In real-world usage, I found the battery life to be solid but not exceptional – as you’d expect from the capacity.

In ECO mode (14W), I consistently got through a full day of moderate vaping without needing to recharge. Heavy users might need to top up by late afternoon, but for most people, it should comfortably last a workday.

Switching to PWR mode (24W) does drain the battery noticeably faster – I’d estimate about 30% quicker – but that’s to be expected.

Charging is handled via a USB Type-C port, but it’s only rated for 1A charging rather than the faster 2A we’re seeing on some newer devices.

In my testing, a full charge from completely empty took around 55-60 minutes, which isn’t the quickest but is reasonable for the battery size. I did appreciate that both devices support pass-through vaping, so you can still use them while charging in a pinch.

  • Premium build quality with stunning finish
  • Exceptional flavor from the 0.7Ω pod
  • Fast 38-minute charging time
  • Highly responsive auto-draw activation
  • Smart coil detection with wattage suggestions
  • Smooth and precise airflow control
  • Impressive pod longevity (30ml+ without flavor degradation)
  • Beautiful 0.96-inch TFT color display with customizable themes

  • Battery drains somewhat quickly at higher wattages

Verdict

After two weeks with the Vaporesso Vibe and Vibe SE, I can confidently say they’ve earned a spot among my favorite pod systems in this price range.

The dual mesh coil technology isn’t just marketing fluff – it delivers two genuinely different vaping experiences with a simple switch flip. The ability to toggle between an ECO mode and a more powerful PWR mode without changing pods or adjusting settings is brilliant in its simplicity and effectiveness.

What impresses me most is how Vaporesso has packed genuine innovation into such affordable devices without compromising on performance. The flavor production rivals systems costing twice as much, and the build quality feels more premium than the price would suggest.

Between the two, I slightly prefer the standard Vibe with its OLED screen for the extra information at a glance, but the Vibe SE delivers the same excellent performance if you prefer a cleaner look.

For beginners transitioning from disposables or cigarettes, these devices offer the perfect balance of simplicity and satisfaction. Even as an experienced vaper, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the Vibe over more expensive options in my collection – it’s just that good at what it does.

If this is the direction Vaporesso is taking with the Vibe family, I’m genuinely excited to see what comes next—highly recommended!
