But honestly, they’ve brought something genuinely interesting to the table with these devices.

At their core, both devices feature the same internal 1100mAh battery and utilize Vaporesso’s innovative dual mesh coil technology in their 4.5ml pods (2ml for TPD regions).

The main difference between the two is that the standard Vibe features a 0.54″ OLED screen displaying battery level, puff count, and mode, while the Vibe SE opts for a simpler RGB light indicator.

What makes these devices stand out is their clever mode-switching capability – simply flick the switch on the side to toggle between ECO mode (using one coil at 0.8Ω/14W) and PWR mode (engaging both coils at 0.4Ω/24W). This essentially gives you two different vaping experiences from a single pod.

Design & Build Quality

When I first unboxed the Vibe and Vibe SE, I was immediately struck by their vibrant colors and sleek design. Both devices sport what Vaporesso calls a “squashed pen style” – taller than they are wide, with a comfortable ergonomic shape that feels natural in the hand.

The Vibe SE I received for review came in this eye-catching green/blue gradient that catches the light beautifully. It’s clearly designed with style-conscious vapers in mind, and while some might find the colors a bit too vibrant, I actually quite like the look. If you prefer something more subtle, they’re also available in more subdued options like black.

Despite their lightweight plastic construction (coming in at just 50g), both devices feel surprisingly solid and well-built. There’s no rattling or cheap feel here – Vaporesso has done a good job creating something that’s light without feeling flimsy. After two weeks of carrying them around in my pocket alongside keys and loose change, the finish has held up remarkably well with minimal scratches.

The USB-C is also located in exactly the same place on both the Vibe & SE. It’s on the opposite side of the mode switch. This also means you can stand the devices up while charging.

The pod connection is secure on both, with strong magnets guiding the pod smoothly into place with minimal wiggle. The mouthpiece is comfortable for extended vaping sessions, with a shape that fits naturally between the lips for MTL vaping.

Overall, while not pushing any boundaries in terms of materials used, the design is functional, comfortable, and stylish – exactly what you want from an everyday pod system.

Features

Both devices come with all the standard safety features you’d expect – 8-second cutoff, short-circuit protection, low voltage protection, and so on.

Nothing revolutionary, but all the essential bases are covered.

What impresses me most about the feature set is how Vaporesso has made something genuinely innovative (the dual mesh technology) incredibly easy to use. There’s no menu diving or complex settings – just flip a switch and your entire vaping experience changes. For someone like me who appreciates both simplicity and versatility, it’s a winning combination.

Pods/Coils

Between the two, I slightly prefer the standard Vibe with its OLED screen for the extra information at a glance, but the Vibe SE delivers the same excellent performance if you prefer a cleaner look.

For beginners transitioning from disposables or cigarettes, these devices offer the perfect balance of simplicity and satisfaction. Even as an experienced vaper, I found myself repeatedly reaching for the Vibe over more expensive options in my collection – it’s just that good at what it does.
