Vaptex has been making massive in-roads in the vaping industry and has released quite a few disposable vape products over the last few years.

Their latest, the BOXMO, is their largest boasting a 13ml pre-filled juice capacity.

It is powered by a 650mAh battery that is rechargeable via USB-C and can deliver up to 5000 Puffs in total.

Vaptex has also introduced ‘Photo Etching Mesh Technology (PEMT)’ in the production of their mesh coils. This supposedly allows faster heat-up times through the more even and precise mesh.

The Vaptex BOXMO comes with 50mg (5%) nicotine strength and is available in 10 different flavors.

Design

There are some nice key touches with the design of the BOXMO by Vaptex.

First, you will notice that the design is very reminiscent of a traditional Box Mod, hence the name BOXMO. This makes it incredibly comfortable to hold, and it feels like second nature vaping with it.

The body is made primarily of plastic, but Vaptex has put a lovely rubber coating on the main body. This adds to the tactile feel and comfort of the device and elevates the cheap plastic materials to make it a little more premium.

The gradient two-tone colors of the BOXMOs is another thing we enjoyed about the design. Vaptex has done a good job of matching the color schemes to include flavor profiles. It makes them stand out without being too obnoxious.

The base of the BOXMO features a USB- C port for charging, along with some air holes and an LED light.

On the top, the mouthpiece is what I would call a typically 510-style design. It’s comfortable to use and helps deliver an excellent MTL draw.

Vaptex hasn’t stopped there though, as they have actually designed an airflow pathway in the device to help prevent spit back. They call it Airway Automatic Cleaning Technology (AACT). It is essentially a design where the drip tip tapers down and is smaller at the base.

There is also some fancy design production happening with the mesh coils. Vaptex has manufactured them using Photo Etching Mesh Technology. This is done through the use of a laser, instead of the traditional way of eroding the metal with liquid.

Vaptex claims this leaves you with a more precise mesh coil that can heat evenly and faster. We’ll cover if it actually makes a difference in the performance section.

Overall the BOXMOs have a really good design, and one I’ve thoroughly enjoyed using.

Flavors

Blue Razz Lemonade

A very sweet blue raspberry, but one thing is sure: the sharp lemonade is sharp and really kicks in on the exhale. Overall it is a perfectly rounded and balanced Blue Razz and, in my opinion, an excellent refreshing vape.

Strawberry Ice

You are immediately greeted with authentic ripe strawberries as soon as you inhale the Strawberry Ice. I like that it is not a candy-style strawberry and not overly sweet. You get a little lift of ice on the exhale, but again it’s pretty subtle—an easy all-day vape for me.

Mango Ice

Many Mango flavors go too sweet and candy-like in their flavor profile. The BOXMO Mango Ice sticks to using a natural Mango flavor, which has that almost thick deep taste to it. There’s also a sprinkling of Ice which is more apparent on the exhale. This is a really great Mango vape.

Tropical Fruit

Upon inhaling, you can taste all kinds of tropical fruit in this mixture. Then as you progress through the vape, you get little spikes of citrus. However, I think the prominent flavor that shines through is Guava, and it’s juicy and moreish. I couldn’t put this one down, a delightful fruity vape.

Black Currant

Blackcurrant is not a flavor I often come across in vapes, especially by itself. I think something else might be mixed in with this one, as it tastes almost like a grape-style flavor profile. However, it is nice and subtle and probably a good choice for anyone that enjoys Grape flavors.

Peach Mango Watermelon

This contains three great fruit flavors to mix together, and you notice them all as soon as you inhale. Then the Watermelon takes center stage, with the Peach and Mango shining through more on the exhale. It is an absolute delight and another one of my favorites from the range.

Banana Ice

Unlike some of the other fruit flavors that lean toward natural flavors, the Banana Ice has a more candy-style flavor profile. It is still a nice Banana flavor but edges toward being quite sweet. A modest amount of cooling is going on, but it’s definitely present on the exhale.

Peach Ice

This one strikes a good balance between a natural and candied peach flavor. It is juicy and sweet and fills your mouth on the inhale, and then there’s a light fizz to it as you progress through the vape. It also has a touch of cooling on the exhale, but very subtle—another delightful flavor. 

Watermelon Ice

A perfectly punchy Watermelon Ice, as flavorful as any other I’ve tried. The Watermelon is succulent right from the offset and is an authentic watermelon flavor. There’s a decent amount of juiciness and cooling to it without ever becoming overpowering—another great flavor.

Strawberry Milkshake

A bit different from the rest in this range, but no less impressive. This creamy milkshake also strikes the perfect blend of sweet ripe strawberries mixed in a luxurious, dense milky cream, which pushes through on the exhale. It has a small amount of cooling effect, just to freshen it up. Like with the others, it’s a very authentic and good flavor.

Performance

I have been incredibly impressed with my time using the entire range of BOXMO disposables.

Vaptex has done an excellent job with its mesh coil, which delivers instantly and with excellent flavor. I’m not sure whether that’s genuinely down to the ‘Photo Etching Mesh Technology,’ but I like it. 

They have also done an excellent job at producing authentic and delicious flavors. They have not gone too heavy on the sweetener and only added a touch of cooling. This makes all of them easy to use for extensive vaping.

There are a couple of flavors like the Tropical Fruit or Peach Mango Watermelon that I could just vape all day long – they really zing. 

I also like the device’s build quality with its rubber textured grip and familiar mini box mod shape.

The draw on the BOXMOs also strikes the perfect balance, as it’s a medium-style MTL draw. So it satisfies someone who prefers tight MTL (like me) but will equally be fine for someone moving from a more open disposable. 

I didn’t count the exact amount of puffs delivered from each disposable. However, I can tell you through my testing experience that the BOXMOs felt like they delivered close to the advertised 5000 range, which is also impressive.

Verdict

With so many disposables entering the market, it can get slightly monotonous.

However, the Vaptex BOXMO range certainly stands out from the crowd. They deliver excellent flavor with a super smooth draw, and it’s all packaged in a nice comfortable design.

There are plenty of great flavors to choose from, and Vaptex has done a great job of keeping them authentic and not too overpowering.

If you are looking for a larger high-capacity disposable – the Vaptex Boxmo would be an excellent choice.
