Vaptex has been making some excellent disposable vape products recently.

The MARVOL is their latest and largest capacity disposable, boasting 16ml of pre-filled juice.

It is powered by a 600mAh battery that is rechargeable via USB-C and can deliver up to 6000 Puffs in total.

Vaptex introduced ‘Photo Etching Mesh Technology (PEMT)’ in the production of their mesh coils, which was great in the BOXMO, and is present here also in the Marvol. 

The Vaptex MARVOL comes with 50mg (5%) nicotine strength and is available in 10 different flavors.

Design

Vaptex seems to always tread a different path with regard to the design of its disposables, and that’s a refreshing thing.

The BOXMO we recently reviewed was unique, and the same can be said of the MARVOL.

However, that doesn’t mean they’ve got everything right with the design. I like some things about the MARVOL design, and some I’m not so impressed with.

Firstly, the form factor of the MARVOL is quite boxy, even more so than the BOXMO (go figure). This means it’s pretty compact and is a familiar format to those that are used to using box mods or AIO devices.

What’s interesting about the design of the MARVOL is how it’s almost like two separate parts stuck together. The main part is a flat matte plastic panel that curves on the back to make it comfortable in the hand. 

It’s a very clean and minimalistic part of the device, with vibrant colors matching the flavor profile within the disposable.

Then attached to this section is what looks like a clear plastic tube with an integrated mouthpiece. It gives you a clear divide between what is essentially the section that holds the battery and the tube section that contains the juice and coil.

I actually like this part of the design; it’s different from anything else in the disposable market. 

However, what really kills the styling for me is that Vaptex has chosen to incorporate the flavor along with a picture of the fruits underneath the clear tube. To top it all off, they have the flavor written in holographic lettering. 

It just makes the whole thing look quite tacky and dated. Also, I don’t know why they felt the need to show a picture of bananas in a ‘Banana Ice’ flavor. It provides no value and ruins what could’ve otherwise been a clean looking disposable.

On the base of the device, you will find the USB C port for charging and a small LED light. The light is activated each time you take a puff and is bright enough to notice without being too intrusive.

Overall I’m impressed with the compactness of the MARVOL and think Vaptex were on to a good thing with the design, but they just didn’t execute it properly. 

Flavors

Tropical Fruit

A clean tropical mix that has a very citrus blend to it. It’s light but with the right balance of sweetness. There’s a refreshing amount of cooling in there, which comes through stronger on the exhale. A delightful flavor overall.

Watermelon Ice

It’s quite a mellow Watermelon, not as punchy as others I’ve tried. It feels more like a light candy Watermelon taste. There’s a good balance of icy cooling. It’s a solid vape, but it didn’t wow me like some of the others.

Blue Razz Lemonade

A good and clean Blue Raspberry that’s very well blended with a slight fizzy lemonade poking through. The Lemonade has a nice mix of sweetness and bitterness—a very pleasant and refreshing vape.

Peach Mango Watermelon

The prominent flavor that hits you right from the inhale is the Mango. It’s a nice authentic Mango, which is then lifted by sweet notes of juicy peach. The Watermelon is very subtle underneath. The Mango then returns in the exhale to leave you with that fruity aftertaste. One of my favorites.

Banana Ice

A very nice sweet Banana vape. It very much leans more towards the candy style of Banana, but it’s light and pleasant. There’s a lovely little lift of cooling on the exhale without overpowering the flavor—a solid Banana Ice.

Peach Ice

A sweet Peach flavor greets you on the inhale. Again it’s more of a candy-style Peach and has an almost fizzy taste to it. Like most, it’s not overly sweet and just the right balance. There’s a good hit of cooling on the exhale. Overall a very pleasant Peach vape.

Blackcurrant

A very subtle Blackcurrant flavor. It’s very light and not overly sweet. It’s not marked as an ice flavor, but there’s definitely cooling in there. However, just like the flavoring, it’s very light. Overall a very mellow fruit vape.

Strawberry Ice

Unlike some other fruit flavors in this range, this is a natural-tasting Strawberry flavor. It’s also a bit softer on the cooling. It’s ok, but not the best Strawberry Ice I’ve tried.

Mango Ice

Vaptex has really got the Mango flavor down. This is a very juicy authentic Mango flavor that has some really good depth to it. It hits you right from the inhale and has a nice icy lift on the exhale—another favorite from this range.

Strawberry Milkshake

A very deep and creamy Milkshake, sweetened with juicy Strawberry notes. You feel the creaminess as soon as you inhale, and it lingers slightly after the exhale—a very solid Strawberry Milkshake blend.

Performance

I may have been critical of the design and looks of the MARVOL, but there’s no denying it delivers an impressive vape experience.

Thankfully it delivers the same quality vape as the BOXMO, which is excellent.

As we covered in that review, it seems like the ‘Photo Etching Mesh Technology’ on the mesh coils does a fantastic job of ensuring the coil heats up instantly and delivers brilliant flavor.

Vaptex has also done well replicating the same excellent flavor profiles of the BOXMO range. They are all authentic flavors with the perfect balance of sweetness and cooling. As a result, you could happily vape the MARVOLs all day long without getting too sick of the taste.

As with the BOXMO, the flavors that really jump out at me are the Tropical Fruit and Peach Mango Watermelon. They are just so moreish. 

The draw on the MARVOL is also very good. It is a medium to tight MTL draw that will satisfy the masses and is incredibly smooth.

The MARVOL also does an excellent job of lasting the distance with its 16ml of pre-filled juice. So you definitely get close to the 6000 puffs advertised. However, I did notice that as your battery becomes more drained, the performance drops a little. So for best results, make sure you keep the battery topped up.

Verdict

The Vaptex MARVOL is an excellent disposable vape when it comes to performance and flavors.

Like the BOXMO, they deliver exceptional flavor with a super smooth draw. All the flavors on offer are great and true to their flavor profiles.

I wanted to like the design of the MARVOL. After all, it is unique, compact, and comfortable to use. However, it’s really not to my taste, and I think it makes the device look cheaper than the performance it actually delivers.

If you don’t care about looks, then you’ll be delighted with the experience the MARVOL delivers.
