Design & Build Quality

I’ve handled countless dual-battery mods over the years, and the VINCI Spark220 immediately stands out for its uniquely rounded shape.

It’s not an exaggeration to say this might be one of the most comfortable dual 18650 mods I’ve ever held. The beveled edges on both the front really help with its ergonomics in the hand.

But, what truly blew me away is the weight – or rather, the lack of it. At just 110g without batteries, this is staggeringly light for a dual battery mod, especially one that feels this solidly built.

For comparison, most competitors in this category typically weigh 150-200g empty. The difference is immediately noticeable when you pick it up, making it much more pocket-friendly than you’d expect.

The all-aluminum alloy construction gives the device a premium feel that’s rigid with zero flex, even when gripped tightly. VOOPOO has created an interesting mix of finishes across the device: the front features a brushed aluminum finish with a glossy diamond-patterned panel housing the LEDs, while the magnetic battery door sports a matte finish with glossy trails resembling shooting stars.

It’s a cohesive design that manages to look modern without being overly flashy.

The dimensions hit a sweet spot too – at 95mm x 44mm x 29mm, it’s neither too compact nor too bulky.

The battery door deserves special mention for being perfectly executed – it attaches magnetically with strong, secure connections and houses a handy ribbon for easy battery removal. Inside, the battery compartment is snug without being too tight, accommodating my 18650s without any struggle.

The starlight LED panel, while smaller than the one on the VINCI Spark100 (84 LEDs vs 144), still delivers an impressive visual experience.

The LEDs twinkle in different patterns depending on how you’re using the device, and they strike a perfect balance of being eye-catching without becoming obnoxiously bright. If bling isn’t your thing, you can easily disable them entirely through the settings menu.

The 1.44-inch TFT color display is crisp, bright, and perfectly sized for a vape mod of this caliber. Information is clearly laid out and easily readable even in outdoor lighting conditions. The 510 connection is centrally positioned with a spring-loaded gold pin, though I did notice that atomizers larger than 23mm will have a slight overhang due to the beveling – something to consider if you’re particular about aesthetics.

Perhaps the most distinctive design choice is the multifunctional click wheel on the side that handles both firing and adjustments. It’s knurled for better grip and provides a satisfying click when rotated. I do have one minor grievance here – occasionally, the resistance when turning isn’t consistent, which can lead to overshooting when adjusting wattage or navigating menus. This happens most frequently when changing direction but can occur even when turning one way.

It’s not a deal-breaker, but it’s noticeable in daily use.

On the opposite side, you’ll find the USB-C charging port and a physical locking switch that can be programmed to lock either all functions or just wattage adjustment – a thoughtful feature that prevents pocket accidents.

Overall I think VOOPOO has knocked it out of the park again with their design. I wasn’t expecting to fall in love with a dual-18650 mod this year, but I think I just have.

Features

The VINCI Spark220 comes packed with a healthy roster of features.

First and foremost, it delivers on its power promise with a maximum output of 220W from the dual 18650 setup. During my testing, I was able to hit about 215W, which is impressively close to the rated maximum – something not all mods can claim.

The mod features three distinct operating modes: SMART, RBA, and TC.

SMART mode is particularly beginner-friendly as it identifies the optimal power for your coil and implements a wattage ceiling to prevent accidentally frying it. For instance, with the 0.15Ω coil, it won’t let you push beyond 80W.

For those who prefer full control, RBA mode removes these training wheels and lets you set whatever wattage you fancy.

Temperature Control (TC) mode is available for vapers who prefer that style, with four preset material options: NI200, TI, SS-316, and SS-430.

I found this implementation a bit too basic for serious TC enthusiasts since there’s no apparent way to adjust TCR values, despite the mode being labeled “TC-TCR.” This feels a bit misleading, and I’d advise sticking with power modes if TC precision matters to you.

The starlight LED panel is a standout feature that really sets this mod apart aesthetically. The 84 LEDs display different animations depending on what you’re doing:

• When the screen is on: LEDs twinkle like stars in the night sky
• While vaping in SMART mode: Shooting stars travel diagonally across the panel
• During RBA & TC vaping: Multiple shooting stars animate across the display
• While charging: Rhythmic arrows travel upward

It’s pretty mesmerizing to watch. I often find myself firing the device just to see the light show. Thankfully if it’s not your cup of tea, you can disable it through the settings menu.

Speaking of settings, accessing the menu is straightforward – just triple-click the wheel to reveal options for changing modes. You can select between three themes for the display, customize the lock switch function, and toggle screen animations and starlight panels, resetting puff counts, evaluating battery health, and checking device info.

The themes are well-designed and all display the essential information clearly, though I gravitated toward themes one and three for their cleaner layouts.

The battery evaluator is an interesting addition that checks your batteries’ health, though it only works with the 0.15Ω coil installed. While I can’t speak to its accuracy, it’s a neat concept that might help users identify aging cells.

Perhaps the most practical feature is the programmable lock switch, which can be set to lock either all controls or just the wattage adjustment. I prefer locking everything when the device is in my pocket, but having options is always welcome.

Tank/Coils

The VINCI Spark220 kit pairs with VOOPOO’s flagship UFORCE-X tank.

It’s a top airflow tank, which dramatically reduces the chance of leaking.

The dual airflow slots are generously sized and fully adjustable, giving you precise control over your draw.

The UFORCE-X is exclusively compatible with PnP X Coils and won’t work with standard PnP coils. This might be disappointing if you have a stockpile of the older coils, but the performance benefits make the switch worthwhile.

The kit includes two mesh coil options:

• 0.15Ω coil rated for 60-80W
• 0.3Ω coil rated for 32-40W

These are part of a broader PnP X family that includes seven options ranging from 0.15Ω up to 1.0Ω, covering everything from high-wattage cloud chasing to more moderate vaping styles.

VOOPOO specifically recommends the 0.15Ω, 0.20Ω, and 0.30Ω coils for the UFORCE-X as it’s primarily designed for direct lung (DL) and restricted direct lung (RDL) vaping.

One standout feature of these coils is their longevity. They’re rated for an impressive 100ml of e-juice per coil, and in my testing, they’ve come remarkably close to meeting this claim. I’ve put well over 80ml through the 0.15Ω coil with minimal flavor degradation – a significant improvement over many competitors that start fading after 40-50ml.

The tank itself offers a 5.5ml capacity out of the box, but VOOPOO includes a bubble glass that bumps this up to 6.5ml.

I immediately switched to the larger glass since it adds minimal bulk while significantly extending time between refills.

The top cap slides back with a push to reveal the fill port, which features a silicone-lined, self-closing slit that effectively prevents leaking.

Coil installation couldn’t be simpler – unscrew the base of the tank and push-fit your coil of choice. I particularly appreciate the deep base design, which creates a reservoir for any potential e-liquid that might seep from the coil (though I haven’t experienced any leaking issues during testing).

Performance

After putting the VINCI Spark220 and the UFORCE-X tank through their paces, I can confidently say this is one of the most satisfying mod kits I’ve used recently.

The performance is consistently excellent, with the mod and tank perfectly complimenting eachother.

Let’s start with the 0.15Ω coil, which is rated for 60-80W. I found my personal sweet spot at the lower end of this range, around 65W, where it delivers an exceptional balance of flavor clarity and vapor production.

At the full 80W, the vapor becomes noticeably warmer and denser – perfect for cloud chasers but perhaps a bit overwhelming for all-day vaping. The flavor reproduction is genuinely impressive, capturing subtle notes in complex e-liquids that some tanks miss entirely.

The 0.3Ω coil, rated for 32-40W, offers a slightly more restricted experience that leans toward RDL vaping. I settled on 38W as my preferred setting, where it provides outstanding flavor with moderate cloud production and excellent battery efficiency.

This coil particularly shines with fruit and dessert profiles, bringing out layered flavors with excellent clarity.

What impressed me most about both coils is their consistency throughout their lifespan. After more than 50ml through each, neither showed any significant drop in flavor intensity or clarity. The wicking keeps pace perfectly even during extended chain-vaping sessions, with no dry hits or flooding issues to report – great work VOOPOO.

The airflow system on the UFORCE-X deserves special mention for its flexibility. Fully open, it provides a genuinely airy direct lung experience that will satisfy even dedicated cloud chasers. Dialed down to about 30% open, it creates a perfect restricted direct lung draw that enhances flavor concentration. The top airflow design eliminates leaking, but it still delivers excellent flavor. Which is something other top-flow tanks struggle with.

The VINCI Spark220 mod works flawlessly. It fires instantly, and the power delivery feels consistent and reliable across the entire wattage range.

The click wheel, despite the occasional inconsistency I mentioned earlier, generally provides precise control over wattage adjustments.

For temperature control enthusiasts, the implementation here is fairly basic. While functional, it lacks the refinement and adjustability that serious TC vapers might expect.

Throughout my testing, the mod handled temperature management well – even during extended sessions at higher wattages, it never became uncomfortably hot.

And to round it off, I know it’s not really part of the performance of the device. But the starlight LED animations deserve another mention. The way to interact while you are vaping just adds to the overall experience.

Battery Life & Charging

Battery performance on the VINCI Spark220 is exactly what you’d expect from a well-designed dual 18650 mod. Using a pair of quality 3000mAh batteries with the 0.3Ω coil at 38W, I consistently got through nearly two full days of moderate vaping.

With the more power-hungry 0.15Ω coil at 65W, I could still comfortably vape for a full day before needing to recharge.

The USB-C charging is rated at 5V/3A, but you’ll only achieve this with the appropriate power supply.

A full charge from empty takes approximately 2-2.5 hours.

The mod employs on/off charging cycles and appears to charge each battery individually, which is excellent for battery health and longevity.

Passthrough vaping is supported, with charging pausing automatically when you take a puff.

Verdict

I’m genuinely impressed with what VOOPOO has created with the VINCI Spark220 kit.

They’ve managed to design a dual-battery mod that breaks the mold both aesthetically and functionally, without sacrificing reliability or performance.

It has a touch of flair, is impressively lightweight and the UFORCE-X tank delivers exceptional flavor.

Is it perfect? No. The click wheel could be more consistent, and the temperature control implementation feels somewhat half-hearted. But these minor issues are easily overshadowed by what the device gets right: solid power delivery, excellent build quality, and a genuinely enjoyable vaping experience.

I’ve tested dozens of dual-battery mods over the years, and the Spark220 quickly earned a place at the top of my regular rotation – high praise considering the competition.
