Voopoo VMate Mod | Preview

The VMate has been designed to be lightweight and compact. In fact Voopoo claim the VMate is 30% lighter than similar devices.

Voopoo VMate is an ultra-compact size mod powered by dual 18650 batteries reaching a maximum power output of 200W. Designed with two side battery covers, top buttons, and an OLED screen.

Inside the Voopoo VMate Mod is an updated Voopoo 32-digit GENE.FAN Chip, which provides instant firing, stable and safe vaping. The upgraded chip is protected by a V0 class proofing material which is capable of blocking dust, liquid, and fire.

When Voopoo state safe vaping there are eight protection modes:

4. Output Over Current Protection
5. Overcharge Protection
6. Over Discharge Protection
7. Short Circuit Protection

The mod will also be released as a kit which will include the uForce T1 Sub Ohm Tank.

The VMate has two body colour options, Silver or Pewter and 8 battery cover colour options to choose from, Emerald Green, Red Camo, Waterfall Black, Red, Rock Black, Wood, Surf Blue and Green Camo.

Anyone looking for a dual battery kit, especially those who are fans of the Gene chip. Maybe Drag users that want a more modern and lighter device.

The Voopoo VMate is lightweight at 100g before the batteries go in. It looks good, but the lightness seems to be achieved by a compromise on materials.

If they cared about the weight they would use different materials, rather than plastics with a smaller mod, also fast firing mods are not as rare as they used to be when the Voopoo Drag was out.

The buttons look flimsy and its hard to distinguish between the fire and plus/minus buttons which seem to be placed in a pretty awkward position for pressing. Especially if you are a leftie, as your palm will block the screen – although you could argue who looks at the screen while vaping. The 510 connector is centered with the mod curved at the top which means any tank over 25mm will overhang.

It would also be nice if these companies would make mods with the new 21700 batteries, not just do the same thing with a different skin.
