Design & Build Quality

The VRIZZ 2 maintains the same general form factor as its predecessor, which is both a blessing and a slight missed opportunity. VOOPOO has clearly stuck with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach to the overall design, and I can’t fault them entirely – the original had a surprisingly premium feel for a disposable-style device.

The plastic construction returns, but it still feels solid and well-built in the hand. The leatherette texture wrapping is back too, which I’m genuinely pleased about. It provides excellent grip and gives the device a bit of personality compared to the sea of glossy plastic pod vapes flooding the market. The build quality is decent – no creaks, no flex, and it’s taken a few knocks in my testing without showing much wear.

One of the more noticeable changes is the repositioned e-liquid viewing window. VOOPOO has moved it from the back to the side of the device, which in theory should make checking juice levels easier. The airflow adjustment slider sits on the base, just like the original, offering smooth adjustment between MTL and restricted DTL draws.

The biggest change is the introduction of three distinct power modes: ECO, NORM, and TURBO. This replaces the original’s straightforward wattage adjustment (12W, 18W, 24W) with a more intuitive system. A single press of the button cycles through the modes, and the display clearly shows which mode you’re in with visual indicators – one bar lit for ECO, two bars for NORM/TURBO.

The 1350mAh battery is a massive upgrade from the original’s frankly disappointing 800mAh capacity. I can’t stress enough how much of a difference this makes. With the original VRIZZ, I found myself reaching for the charger constantly. The VRIZZ 2 actually delivers on the promise of all-day vaping without babysitting the battery indicator.

USB-C charging returns, but unfortunately, we’re still stuck with 1A charging speeds – about 60 minutes for a full charge. The pass-through charging feature is still here though, which is essential if you’re planning on using TURBO mode regularly.

The 15ml capacity remains unchanged from the original, and it’s still absolutely massive. You’re looking at days of vaping before needing a refill. The side-fill port is generously sized and easy to access, though you’ll need to remove the pod from the device to refill it.

The V2 pod features VOOPOO’s new dual mesh technology (iCOSM 2.0). This single pod houses both a 0.7Ω single mesh coil and a 0.4Ω dual mesh coil. In ECO mode, you’re using the 0.7Ω coil for conservative MTL vaping. Switch to NORM or TURBO, and you activate the 0.4Ω dual mesh coil for more power and vapor.

The original VRIZZ pods only had a single resistance option, so this dual-coil setup is a genuine upgrade. However, V2 pods are NOT backward compatible with the original VRIZZ. The old pods will work in the VRIZZ 2, but you’ll only get access to that pod’s single resistance – no dual mesh functionality.

VOOPOO claims 80,000 puffs per pod, or roughly 60ml of e-liquid (four full refills). I’ve put about 45ml through my test pod, and the flavor is still holding strong with no noticeable degradation. Whether it’ll actually hit that 80,000 puff mark is hard to say without a puff counter, but early signs are promising.

Good news – unlike the original VRIZZ, I’ve experienced no leaking issues with the V2 pods. The original had a tendency to seep around the base, but VOOPOO has clearly fixed this. No more keeping tissues on standby or finding sticky residue in your pocket.

The kit only includes one pod, which feels stingy. Yes, the pod lasts for 60ml, but what if you get a dud? Or want to switch flavors? A second pod would’ve been a welcome addition.

Performance

Right, let’s get into the bit that actually matters – how does this thing vape? I’ve been testing the VRIZZ 2 with 20mg nic salts, and while there are definite improvements over the original, some familiar frustrations remain.

In ECO mode, you’re getting the 0.7Ω single mesh coil, which delivers a loose MTL draw. And I do mean loose – this isn’t the tight, cigarette-like experience ex-smokers might expect. The flavor is decent and smooth, but if you’re after that restrictive MTL hit, you’ll find it too open.

NORM mode with the 0.4Ω dual mesh coil is where the VRIZZ 2 starts to make sense – it’s clearly positioned as a restricted DTL device rather than true MTL. The flavor improves noticeably, and vapor production steps up. But here’s the thing – I found myself wanting just a bit more power and airflow, much like the original.

TURBO mode pushes to 30W, and while it’s the best of the three modes, I still can’t shake the feeling this device could benefit from being warmer with more airflow. The dual mesh delivers good flavor, but the large pod and distance between coil and mouthpiece make the vape feel slightly cooler than it should at 30W.
