VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 Review

Product Description

The VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 is the latest addition to VOOPOO’s disposable-style pod vape lineup, building on the original VRIZZ with some significant upgrades. It features a 15ml pod capacity, dual mesh coil technology, and three adjustable power modes (ECO, NORM, and TURBO) ranging from low to 30W output.

The device is powered by a 1350mAh battery – a substantial increase from the original’s 800mAh – and features USB-C charging with pass-through capability. The VRIZZ 2 comes with a V2 pod cartridge that houses both 0.7Ω (single mesh) and 0.4Ω (dual mesh) resistance options, which are activated depending on your selected power mode.

Available in eight colorways, the kit includes the VRIZZ 2 device, one VRIZZ V2 pod cartridge, a USB-C cable, and user manual. VOOPOO claims the pod can deliver up to 80,000 puffs across its lifetime, making it a high-capacity alternative to disposables for both MTL and restricted DTL vapers.

VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 Review

Design & Build Quality

The VRIZZ 2 maintains the same general form factor as its predecessor, which is both a blessing and a slight missed opportunity. VOOPOO has clearly stuck with the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” approach to the overall design, and I can’t fault them entirely – the original had a surprisingly premium feel for a disposable-style device.

The plastic construction returns, but it still feels solid and well-built in the hand. The leatherette texture wrapping is back too, which I’m genuinely pleased about. It provides excellent grip and gives the device a bit of personality compared to the sea of glossy plastic pod vapes flooding the market. The build quality is decent – no creaks, no flex, and it’s taken a few knocks in my testing without showing much wear.

One of the more noticeable changes is the repositioned e-liquid viewing window. VOOPOO has moved it from the back to the side of the device, which in theory should make checking juice levels easier. In practice though, I’m still struggling with the same issue as before – the tinted pod combined with a single viewing window makes it bloody difficult to see your e-liquid level unless you’re holding it up to direct light. It’s a minor gripe, but one I was hoping they’d address.

The display screen has actually gotten smaller on the VRIZZ 2, which initially had me worried. However, it still shows all the essential information clearly: battery percentage, power mode, and the visual indicators for which coil is active.

A welcome improvement is the more prominent lanyard anchor point. The original had one, but it felt like an afterthought tucked away at the top. The VRIZZ 2’s lanyard loop is more substantial and easier to access, though frustratingly, they still don’t include an actual lanyard in the box. Come on, VOOPOO – if you’re going to add the feature, throw in a bloody lanyard!

The pod connection feels secure with no wobble whatsoever, which is a step up from some pod systems I’ve tested recently. The single-button operation is positioned perfectly for thumb access, and it’s got a satisfying click to it. The airflow adjustment slider sits on the base, just like the original, offering smooth adjustment between MTL and restricted DTL draws.

Available in eight different colorways (up from the original’s six), I’ve been testing the Blue Leather version, which is more like a baby blue…and I absolutely adore it. The gradient finishes on the other color options look pretty sharp from what I’ve seen, and there’s definitely something for everyone here.

Overall, the design and build quality remain strong selling points for the VRIZZ 2. It feels like a device that can take the knocks of daily pocket carry, and the premium materials make it punch well above its price point.

Would I have liked to see a more dramatic redesign? Perhaps. But VOOPOO clearly knows their audience here – people who want something familiar but improved, not reinvented.

VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 Review

Features

This is where the VRIZZ 2 really starts to differentiate itself from the original, and I’ve got to say, VOOPOO has made some genuinely smart improvements here.

The biggest change is the introduction of three distinct power modes: ECO, NORM, and TURBO. This replaces the original’s straightforward wattage adjustment (12W, 18W, 24W) with a more intuitive system. A single press of the button cycles through the modes, and the display clearly shows which mode you’re in with visual indicators – one bar lit for ECO, two bars for NORM/TURBO.

The 1350mAh battery is a massive upgrade from the original’s frankly disappointing 800mAh capacity. I can’t stress enough how much of a difference this makes. With the original VRIZZ, I found myself reaching for the charger constantly. The VRIZZ 2 actually delivers on the promise of all-day vaping without babysitting the battery indicator.

USB-C charging returns, but unfortunately, we’re still stuck with 1A charging speeds – about 60 minutes for a full charge. The pass-through charging feature is still here though, which is essential if you’re planning on using TURBO mode regularly.

The adjustable airflow remains wonderfully smooth. The honeycomb airflow design provides a near-silent draw on the tighter MTL setting, and opening it up gives you a decent restricted DTL experience. VOOPOO has refined it slightly with more precise stopping points.

Auto-draw activation is present and correct – no buttons to press, just inhale and go. It’s responsive and works well in MTL mode, though I did encounter the odd hiccup with the fully open airflow setting.

One feature I’m still missing? A puff counter. VOOPOO claims these pods are good for 80,000 puffs, but without a counter, you’re just guessing at pod life. It feels like a missed opportunity considering the display has the space for it.

VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 Pod and Coils

Pods/Coils

The VRIZZ 2 pods are where VOOPOO has made the most significant technical improvements, and it’s a bit of a mixed bag.

The 15ml capacity remains unchanged from the original, and it’s still absolutely massive. You’re looking at days of vaping before needing a refill. The side-fill port is generously sized and easy to access, though you’ll need to remove the pod from the device to refill it.

The V2 pod features VOOPOO’s new dual mesh technology (iCOSM 2.0). This single pod houses both a 0.7Ω single mesh coil and a 0.4Ω dual mesh coil. In ECO mode, you’re using the 0.7Ω coil for conservative MTL vaping. Switch to NORM or TURBO, and you activate the 0.4Ω dual mesh coil for more power and vapor.

The original VRIZZ pods only had a single resistance option, so this dual-coil setup is a genuine upgrade. However, V2 pods are NOT backward compatible with the original VRIZZ. The old pods will work in the VRIZZ 2, but you’ll only get access to that pod’s single resistance – no dual mesh functionality.

VOOPOO claims 80,000 puffs per pod, or roughly 60ml of e-liquid (four full refills). I’ve put about 45ml through my test pod, and the flavor is still holding strong with no noticeable degradation. Whether it’ll actually hit that 80,000 puff mark is hard to say without a puff counter, but early signs are promising.

Good news – unlike the original VRIZZ, I’ve experienced no leaking issues with the V2 pods. The original had a tendency to seep around the base, but VOOPOO has clearly fixed this. No more keeping tissues on standby or finding sticky residue in your pocket.

The kit only includes one pod, which feels stingy. Yes, the pod lasts for 60ml, but what if you get a dud? Or want to switch flavors? A second pod would’ve been a welcome addition.

Performance

Right, let’s get into the bit that actually matters – how does this thing vape? I’ve been testing the VRIZZ 2 with 20mg nic salts, and while there are definite improvements over the original, some familiar frustrations remain.

In ECO mode, you’re getting the 0.7Ω single mesh coil, which delivers a loose MTL draw. And I do mean loose – this isn’t the tight, cigarette-like experience ex-smokers might expect. The flavor is decent and smooth, but if you’re after that restrictive MTL hit, you’ll find it too open.

NORM mode with the 0.4Ω dual mesh coil is where the VRIZZ 2 starts to make sense – it’s clearly positioned as a restricted DTL device rather than true MTL. The flavor improves noticeably, and vapor production steps up. But here’s the thing – I found myself wanting just a bit more power and airflow, much like the original.

TURBO mode pushes to 30W, and while it’s the best of the three modes, I still can’t shake the feeling this device could benefit from being warmer with more airflow. The dual mesh delivers good flavor, but the large pod and distance between coil and mouthpiece make the vape feel slightly cooler than it should at 30W.

That said, the flavor is still very respectable. It’s not reaching the heights of the ARGUS series or Caliburn range, but for a high-capacity, disposable-alternative system, it’s holding its own. The dual mesh delivers richer flavor than the original’s single mesh, and consistency is excellent – even after 45ml, the flavor hasn’t dropped off.

The airflow is smooth and well-designed with that honeycomb structure. It’s near-silent even when partially open. But even fully open, it still feels slightly restricted for proper DTL. It sits in that middle ground of loose MTL to restricted DTL, which will suit some vapers but might leave others wanting more.

The auto-draw works reliably in this range, with occasional hiccups when running fully open airflow. Keep it in that loose MTL to restricted DTL sweet spot and it fires consistently.

Battery life is genuinely excellent. The 1350mAh is a massive improvement over the original’s 800mAh, easily lasting a full day of heavy vaping even on TURBO mode. I’m averaging about 8-10ml per charge.

Overall, the VRIZZ 2 is clearly aimed at vapers who prefer a looser draw and restricted DTL vaping. If you’re after tight MTL, this isn’t for you. But if you like that middle ground and want massive capacity with decent flavor, the VRIZZ 2 delivers – even if I wish for just a touch more power and airflow.

  • Viewing window still difficult to see juice level
  • No lanyard included despite having anchor point
VOOPOO VRIZZ 2

Verdict

The VOOPOO VRIZZ 2 is a solid step up from the original, addressing some key issues – particularly that frustratingly small battery and the leaking problems. The 1350mAh capacity is a game-changer, the dual mesh technology delivers consistent flavor, and the build quality remains impressive for the price point.

But it’s not without its compromises. The same niggling issues with power and airflow remain, and if you’re after a tight MTL draw, look elsewhere. This is firmly a loose MTL to restricted DTL device, and VOOPOO needs to own that positioning more clearly.

You should buy the VRIZZ 2 if: You want a sustainable alternative to high-capacity disposables, prefer a looser draw with restricted DTL vaping, and value massive pod capacity and all-day battery life over absolute premium performance.

Give it a miss if: You need a tight MTL draw for nic salts, want top-tier flavor matching premium pod systems, or you’re frustrated by devices that could do with just a bit more oomph.

For vapers transitioning from disposables or those wanting a low-maintenance, high-capacity system, the VRIZZ 2 makes a compelling case. It’s not perfect, but it’s a meaningful improvement over the original and offers genuine value. Just know what you’re getting into – this is a middle-ground device that plays it safe rather than pushing boundaries.
