Design & Style
If you are searching for simplicity, you have found it. Wotofo Refillo is a minimalist disposable vape that consists of a steel body and a semi-transparent PCTG tank and a duck-bill mouthpiece.
The semi-transparent PCTG top acts as a window into the tank. The tactile rubber stopper is the only interesting texture on this starter kit, other than that the body is smooth and sleek.
Refills are straightforward. Open the rubber stopper, squeeze your e-liquid into the tank, and replace the stopper. The refill hole is wide, and it can accommodate almost any e-liquid bottle nib. The rubber stopper is a nice safeguard against leaks.
‘Refillo’ is printed across the stainless steel body. If you choose a gradient color scheme, the body will be two colors. No matter what scheme you choose, the tank and ergonomic mouthpiece are always one color.
Wotofo takes minimalism one step further by eliminating buttons entirely. The device is draw-activated, meaning you do not have to fiddle with buttons. This design choice pairs perfectly with the MTL, tight draw to create a vape kit that is made for beginners.

Features
It is no surprise that Wotofo Refillo does not have many features. This disposable vape rejects customization options and clunky mods in favor of hassle-free features and easy, enjoyable vape hits.
Refillo contains an in-built 400mAh battery, which is pretty standard (if not slightly small) for a disposable vape of this size. Wotofo claims that the battery is big enough for a full 3ml tank, and we will test that out in the performance section.
The 3ml tank is big enough to suit most vapers, but beware. Even though Wotofo Refillo is a disposable kit, it does not come prefilled with e-liquid. This could be a benefit or a disadvantage depending on your preferences.
There are no customization options. You cannot control the wattage, airflow, or even the coil resistance. The 1.6Ω coil is fixed, and it cannot be replaced. Like all the other features in this starter device, the coil is best suited to MTL vaping.
In keeping with the minimalist approach, even the LED lights are hidden on the bottom of the device. Three LED lights sit above the Type-C charging port, and they light up blue when the system is draw-activated. That is the only extra feature that you will see on the outside of Wotofo Refillo.
The Tank
Wotofo Refillo is a lot like a pod system. It comes with a lot of the same benefits as pod systems, but ultimately the device contains a tank. The tank is made from semi-transparent PCTG, which is a nice touch for vapers who want a visual representation of their remaining e-liquid.
The rubber plug is a good alternative to fiddly tank doors. It promises a leak-free experience, making Wotofo Refillo ideal for people who are on the go. You can put up to 3ml of e-liquid in this tank. It is not the biggest tank ever created, but it can hold enough vape liquid to get you through the day.
The in-built nexmesh 1.6Ω coil is the shining star of this vape pen. Nexmesh is modern, advanced coil technology. Nexmesh coils are triple-density mesh netting which maximizes heating surface area, creating much more intense flavors than standard coils. These kinds of coils also promise thick plumes of vapor.
Remember, the coil is not replaceable. Once the coil is dead, you have to buy a new disposable.
Performance
When well-known brands like Wotofo make a minimalist device, they are placing all their bets on the flavor. When I heard that Refillo contains nexmesh coils, I was excited.
Refillo is easy to handle and use. I filled the tank with e-liquid (Dinner Lady Apple Tart, for anyone interested), waited five minutes for the vape liquid to soak into the wick, and draw-activated the device.
The draw is tight, which I like. It mirrors the feeling of smoking a cigarette, and you can tell right away that it is designed for MTL vapers. The LED lights shine blue when the device is activated, but since they are on the bottom of the device I could not see them.
I was slightly disappointed by the flavor. Refillo definitely delivers a satisfying flavor sensation, but I was expecting more from the nexmesh coils. I tried both the green and green-purple gradient devices with different Dinner Lady e-liquids and had the same experience. It made me wonder whether the mash-up of disposable and pod features would be enough to keep me hooked, especially when I can get the same flavor experience from a refillable pod kit that does not need to be replaced every few days.
Even a short drag produces satisfying plumes of vapor. The coil does not have a low enough resistance to create dense, immense plumes, but the results are still formidable.
Wotofo was true to its word. The 400mAh battery got me through an entire tank. The device is compatible with any Type-C charging cable, so that was not a problem. As for the three to four-day rule… we will have to wait and see!

Verdict
Wotofo Refillo is a minimalist (if a little confused) disposable vape. The body is 0.6 inches in diameter, which makes it perhaps a bit too chunky for people who want a truly minimalist experience. The draw-activated mechanism hits the mark, but the placement of the LED lights is confusing.
Toeing the line between disposables and refillable kits can be difficult, and Refillo proves that. The simplicity of a disposable is apparent in the plug stopper, lack of buttons, and the ergonomic mouthpiece. But what would stop you from choosing a standard refillable pod system over Refillo? The star features (the refillable tank and rechargeable battery) are only good for three to four days at most. It might make more sense to buy a normal pod system.
That being said, Wotofo Refillo caters to a certain niche. If you want a disposable, easy-to-use, refillable starter kit that delivers satisfying MTL vape hits, Refillo hits the spot.
