The DRAGBAR Z700 SE is the latest upgraded disposable nicotine vape from ZOVOO.

It is a revamped version of the Z700 GT and sports the same super slim form factor. However, the SE now has a rather impressive, fully visible juice window.

The Z700 SE is equipped with upgraded GENE TREE ceramic coil technology, designed to deliver consistent flavor and up to 700 puffs.

It is a TPD-compliant device (aimed at the European market), so it adheres to the regulations of containing only 2 mL of e-liquid at 20 mg/mL.

The DRAGBAR Z700 SE is available in a whopping 50 flavors, and each package comes with two disposables.

The Bottom Line

The DRABGAR Z700 SE is an impressive disposable vape. Especially with its super slim, compact design, excellent juice window, and impressive ceramic coil tech. It’s possibly the best ceramic coil vape I’ve experienced and easily the best in a disposable. However, I’d still lean toward a Dragbar with a mesh coil for better flavor.

Design

It’s not every day that you come across a disposable vape as compact and slim as the Z700 SE.

Although regular readers will remember another extremely slim disposable we reviewed with an uncanny resemblance (its sibling), the DRAGBAR Z700 GT.

The Z700 SE boasts the same shape, size, and branding but with a critical design modification—a see-through juice viewing window.

Though simple in design, the Z700 SE still manages to capture attention. The transparent juice tank sits at the top of each device, making it convenient to monitor your remaining juice – which is an absolute game changer.

The flavor and nicotine strength are subtly labeled on the clear tank section. Each Z700 SE body comes in an array of vibrant pastel colors that are attractive and eye-catching. A prominent DRAGBAR logo also adorns the front of each device.

Although the glossy plastic finish is susceptible to scratches, this is hardly a concern since these devices aren’t meant for long-term use. So inevitably, they’ll be discarded before they show significant signs of wear and tear. I still would’ve preferred them in a matte finish, but I guess the glossy is a little more flashy.

One of the main aspects that set the Z700 SE apart from many of its competitors is its ultra-portable nature. Measuring 112mm in height, 21mm in width, and 9mm in depth, and weighs around 20g. It’s hard to stress just how incredibly thin, small, and lightweight these disposables are.

Each package contains two disposables, and carrying both at once is a cinch. In fact, you could effortlessly lug around four or five of these without even realizing they’re with you.

The lightweight nature of the Z700 SE can be attributed to its all-plastic construction. However, this doesn’t come at the cost of durability—these disposables feel impressively sturdy. A seam separates the “tank” and body, but there’s no wobble or movement between the two parts, resulting in a well-built and high-quality feel.

It’s also worth noting that the tank section acts as a mouthpiece, and its slender profile makes it absolutely perfect for an MTL draw.

Despite its many merits, the Z700 SE does come with a minor caveat. Due to its symmetrical shape, it’s easy to mistakenly pick up the device and attempt to draw from the wrong end if you’re not paying close attention, which was a gripe I had with the Z700 GT.

However, it’s a relatively minor issue that will probably only happen in low-light situations, and while worth mentioning, it’s not a dealbreaker.

The most significant upgrade over the GT version of the Z700 comes with the improved GENE TREE ceramic coil technology. While it’s not something you can see on the outside. I hope this change helps the ZE deliver a better vape experience than its predecessor…let’s find out.

Pineapple Ice

I was expecting the Pineapple Ice to be characterized by the sweet and tangy notes of ripe pineapple. It was definitely there but so muted I had to close my eyes and concentrate carefully to pick out the flavor. There was a sweet, cooling pineapple flavor, but this is for the vaper who enjoys a more subdued flavor profile.

Blue Razz Ice

This Blue Razz Ice is an excellent option for vapers who prefer a more understated flavor profile. Despite its subtlety, the flavor is still enjoyable and refreshing for those who want a more relaxed and mellow experience. In addition, the cooling effect is gentle and not overpowering, making it an ideal choice for those who also prefer a milder cooling sensation.

Strawberry Kiwi

The flavor of Strawberry Kiwi is well-balanced, with neither the strawberry nor the kiwi overpowering the other. The result is a harmonious taste that’s enjoyable to vape. It’s a perfect flavor for vapers who love fruit flavors, as it captures the essence of two of the most popular fruits. The cooling effect is less present in this flavor, allowing the natural taste of the fruits to shine through.

Performance

There’s a fair bit to cover with the performance of the Drabgar Z700 SE, especially in comparison to the GT version.

The TLDR – it’s better. Actually, it’s a lot better!

The vaping experience with the Z700 SE is smooth and gratifying, striking a balance without being overly harsh or heavy. ZOVOO has evidently fine-tuned the warmth of the draw, addressing the overly cool vapor issue found in the Z700 GT.

Additionally, the draw has been enhanced compared to the Z700 GT. The Z700 SE features a tighter draw that leans more towards a tight MTL experience. This makes me happy and suits this type of disposable perfectly.

It’s also worth noting that the nicotine delivery of the Z700 SE feels much stronger.

Even though the SE is offered solely in a 20mg/ml strength (TPD restrictions), the nicotine satisfaction is comparable to a 35mg/ml device. This is likely due to the GENE TREE ceramic coil’s influence.

So don’t dismiss these disposables if you tend to vape higher nicotine concentrations. As a regular user of 50mg/ml disposables, I found no need to seek out a higher strength alternative, remaining entirely content with the Z700 SE during my testing period.

Users concerned about potential leaking, spit back, or popping will be pleased to know that I encountered none of these issues while using the Z700 GT. Throughout depleting all the devices, they performed without any hiccups.

That brings me to the flavor production from the Z700 SE. 

Unfortunately, from my testing, it’s a bit of a mixed bag. However, it is far more prominent than the GT version, and I would classify it as good.

However, in the limited small pool of flavors that I tried, one was still lacking: the Pineapple Ice. It was very subtle, almost blink and you’ll miss it with the flavoring.

This could just be my personal experience and is only one of the many flavors (50) they offer. However, I’m more inclined to think it is due to the ceramic coil technology.

Don’t get me wrong, the coils are excellent at delivering a clean and natural flavor, and they are possibly some of the best ceramic coils I’ve used. But in comparison to a punchier mesh coil, it just feels a little more subdued.

That being said, I really enjoyed the Strawberry Kiwi and the Blue Razz Ice. The flavor seemed more prominent with these, and I could happily vape them all day.

Verdict

The ZOVOO DRAGBAR Z700 significantly improves upon the Z700 GT, addressing many of the concerns I had with the previous model.

The build quality is solid, and, more importantly, the performance and flavors are vastly enhanced. I also absolutely love the new juice window, which is a game-changer.

The nicotine satisfaction provided by this 20mg/ml device is impressive. In addition, the warm MTL draw (from a ceramic coil) is a particularly appealing feature I believe many vapers will appreciate.

ZOVOO’s GENE TREE ceramic coil seems to be more than just marketing hype; it genuinely works to improve the vaping experience. I can’t wait for them to make further improvements in technology.

That said, if you are a flavor fiend and crave a disposable that fills your mouth with pure sweet flavor goodness, I’d stick to mesh coils for now, like the DRAGBAR BC5000.

The Z700 SE is still an excellent disposable that comes in a sleek slender package that delivers good flavor and overall vape experience. Additionally, each package contains two disposables, which is superb value for money.
