Uwell Blocks Kit | Preview

The Blocks kit is the first squonk kit from Uwell, it’s a 18650 unregulated device with a 15ml capacity pump-action squonk, and comes with the Nunchaku RDA.

Uwell has been renowned for producing atomizers that deliver on both clouds and flavor.

They’ve also produced some good quality mods in the shape of the Crown IV and the Nunchaku.

However, this is their first attempt to enter the squonk mod market.

The Uwell Blocks Kit consists of the Nunchaku RDA, which we’ve already seen paired with the Nunchaku mod and the Blocks Squonk Mod.

The Nunchaku RDA is a 24mm RDA with two posts mounted in the center of the deck and can be used in either single or dual coil configurations.

The real unique and interesting part of this kit, however, is the Blocks Squonk Mod itself.

Uwell has decided to go with an interesting block design to keep everything looking tidy from the outside. In fact, at first glance, you wouldn’t notice it’s a squonk mod.

That’s because both the squonk bottle and battery are housed inside the mod, and you don’t need to squeeze the bottle. Instead, the Blocks mod has a pump button on the top of the mod, which feeds 0.13ml of juice into the BF atomizer with every pump.

It’s a similar system to the Asmodus Spruzza where the juice is pumped up, but sadly the excess will not be drawn back into the squonk bottle.

The Blocks has a huge 15ml capacity rectangular squonk bottle, so you certainly won’t have to remove the cover that often to refill. In fact, you’ll probably end up having to change the batteries before you refill.

That’s because the Blocks only uses a single 18650 battery, it is unregulated but can output a maximum of 90W. It comes with does a simple board with all the safety protections, and is housed in the top block of the device. It will also show battery status through an LED light on the fire button.

It also comes with a micro-USB so you can charge the battery through the device if you wish.

The Blocks Kit is currently available in 3 color options: Black, Sapphire Blue, and Grey.

Someone who is looking for a small, unregulated 18650 squonk mod that also has a large juice capacity. Those also wanting a device that looks a bit different.

It’s great to see companies trying new methods for squonking.

However, I’m not a huge fan of the pump method, as it doesn’t draw back the excess juice. It doesn’t look like the pump-action is implemented quite as sophisticatedly as on the Revenant & TVL Delta Squonk mod.

That being said the Blocks does come with a far larger juice capacity, 15ml is huge! I don’t know of another other squonker that holds that much juice.

There’s also something to be said for the clean form factor of the device, it’s blocked shape housing the battery and squonk bottle internally is very good.

While I’m not a fan of the initial colors and patterns they have released, i’m sure they’ll be adding to that, and I hope we see some more sleek designs down the line.

It’s definitely an interesting design by Uwell and one we will be keeping an eye on.
