The Augvape Druga 2 RDA is a simplistic yet elegant looking RDA. Like most of Augvape’s products, it doesn’t go over the top with an extravagant design; it’s very similar to the original Druga, both subtle and well made.

In fact, it’s worth noting the machining on the Druga V2 RDA is very good. It’s made with stainless steel, as most of these RDA’s are, but it doesn’t feel cheap.

The Augvape Druga 2 RDA comes with a new and improved build deck. They call it the CSS (Clamp Snag System), which I’ll cover in detail later, but as with the rest of the RDA, it’s well made, and the screws are smooth to turn. The posts allow for very large coils and it can easily be used in both dual or single-coil modes.

The other vast improvement in design over the original Druga is the airflow system. It features 6 air holes on either side, which can be blocked off by twisting the top cap. There’s the perfect amount of tension with the top cap, and it’s nice and smooth to adjust.

The Druga V2 comes with a low profile style 810 drip tip, which helps its understated design. You are able to use your own larger 810’s in there if you want.

Overall the Druga 2 by Augvape is what I expected. There are no drastic design changes, it’s more about refinement, and I think it’s a pretty refined and elegant RDA.

The Druga V2 is a 24mm RDA and features 6mm deep juice well.

It has a two-post design that uses Augvape’s new, incredibly large clamp design. It can accommodate large coils and is a step up in build quality and size on the original.

The posts have two large Phillips heads screws, which don’t completely unscrew like the original, but are easy to grip and tighten down on your coil legs.

The posts are also 18k gold plated, along with the 510 connection for better connectivity. There’s also a squonk pin included in the kit.

When it comes to RDA’s, the two most important things are the build deck (how easy it is to use) and the quality of the airflow.

This is where Augvape paid most attention to upgrading the Druga, and in my opinion, the V2 triumphs in both aspects.

I’ll cover both in a little more detail to explain why.

The build deck is possibly one of the easiest to use.

The posts/clamps are enormous and tower over the whole inner deck, but they still leave plenty of room to fit large chunky coils on either side.

The clamps work a treat and are easy to screw down on your coil legs without any excess movement. Even if you’re all fingers and thumbs, I think you’ll find the Druga V2 an easy build deck to use.

Wicking the Druga V2 is also a cinch; just make sure you tuck the cotton beneath the coils into the 6mm deep juice well. You can leave your tails quite long as there’s plenty of room down there.

I also found that the squonk pin works well; it has a nice action, and juice comes out smoothly into the well.

If you remember the original Druga it had quite narrow airflow with the cyclops style slots on either side.

The Druga V2 is a more modern affair when it comes to airflow, adopting the popular style of honeycomb style airflow. There are two rows of 3 air holes on either side.

The top cap can rotate and has steps so it can block off each whole individually (which is mirrored on each side). This enables you to really dial in the airflow, providing a far greater experience overall.

I made sure the bottom of my coils sat just in line with the top line of airflow, so plenty of air came up from beneath.

Having the airflow wide-open on the Druga V2 creates a very open and airy vape, with a touch of turbulence.

It’s quite a whooshy but still very smooth draw if that makes sense? I think because the air holes are slightly larger than on other honeycomb-style airflows it does make it a little noisier, but it’s still a very enjoyable airflow system overall.

If you take the airflow down to just one hole open, it’s not quite mouth-to-lung but does give a very tight draw.

Personally, I like a slightly restrictive DTL draw, and with 2 of the air holes cut off on either side, it delivers a really good flavor and decent clouds.

I matched it up with another impressive Augvape RDA, the BTFC, and I’d say they are pretty similar. The Druga V2 might even just pip it when it comes to flavor, but I think the BTFC has smoother airflow.

The Augvape Druga V2 is everything I hoped for in an updated version of a once-great RDA.

They have kept that Druga charm with it’s effortlessly simple to use build deck, and even improved on it to make it even easier to use and fit large coils.

The airflow is as versatile as they come, giving both excellent flavor and clouds, even if it is a little noisy.

The overall design is simple and looks great, and the build quality is on point.

So it might have taken them 3 years, but those little refinements that Augvape has made do make a big difference overall.

Does all that make it one of the best RDA’s out there? Probably not, but it’s definitely a solid one to go for, especially if you want an easy to use build deck.
