The Freemax Maxus Max Pro 168W Kit is the latest iteration within the Maxus range and brings a few upgrades over the Maxus Max kit.
Freemax has had quite a lot of success with its burgeoning Max line, having already released the Maxus Solo, Maxus 50W, Maxus 100W, and Maxus 200W.
The Maxus Max Pro Kit consists of a 168-watt device and a Maxus DTL Pod Tank.
The Maxus Max Pro is almost identical to the Maxus Max, and you’d be hard pushed to tell them apart.
However, the main significant difference is with the connection of the pod tank to the device.
The original Maxus Max had an integrated connection bay that the pod magnetically connected to. Which meant it could only be used with the designated Maxus Pod.
However, the Maxus Max Pro goes ‘Pro’ by changing the connection to a standard 510, so it can be used with any type of atomizer.
The pod now comes with a base (that has a 510 connection) that functions in the same way with adjustable airflow and magnetic connection for the pod.
This also means that if you have the new 510 base, you could use your Maxus pod on any other device.
The Maxus Max Pro pod tank has a 5ml juice capacity and features a side-fill port. If it’s available in the EU, I’m sure it will be restricted to 2ml as per TPD regulations.
The pod utilizes the vast MX coil platform and comes with a 0.15Ω MX1-D Mesh and 0.2Ω MX2 Mesh coil.
The Maxus Max Pro device has a power range of 5-168W and is powered by two replaceable 18650 batteries.
It features USB Type C fast charging at 2A and comes with Variable Wattage, VPC (power curves), Temperature Control, and Bypass modes.
Like the Maxus Max, it has a 1.3″ color display that’s neatly hidden behind the In-Mould Labelling (IML) front panel, so you only see it when active.
The Maxus Max Pro is available in 5 colors: Black, Gunmetal, Red, Blue, and Gold.

There’s really not much to cover here.
The one thing that I wasn’t overjoyed with on the Maxus Max was that you could only use the pod it came with. That is exactly what’s been addressed with the Maxus Max Pro, so I’m sure it will be an excellent kit.
I guess I would’ve liked to have seen some other changes to warrant the ‘Pro’ moniker. However, I’m sure most will be pleased with the upgrade to a 510 connection, so they can now rock any tank on top.
One thing is for sure; the MX coil range delivers outstanding performance. So you know the vape experience is going to be great with this kit.
