Geek Vape Athena Squonk Kit Intro
It seems like the squonking revolution is now among us. Going back a few months I still had people asking me what squonking was, and there was also a very limited choice of squonk devices in the market.
However, in the past couple of months, we have seen releases from more big player manufacturers like; CoilArt, Vandy Vape, iJoy, and HCigar. Now Geek Vape has followed suit and released their Athena squonk setup.

Have GeekVape produced the God of the Squonk wars?
Squonk devices started to emerge as dripping enthusiasts were craving a more practical, “all-in-one” vape solution, with the same benefits of using an RDA. Most squonk mods contain a built-in e-liquid bottle with a large capacity of 7-10 mL and are compatible with all bottom-fed atomizers, which creates the perfect all-in-one device.
Squonkers come in both unregulated and now regulated varieties. The GeekVape Athena is an unregulated, full mechanical setup, which is paired with a matching, bottom-feeding RDA. It’s an elegant and modern, AIO Kit.
The Athena contains a 6.5ml silicone bottle, parallel to the single 18650 cell, which is all housed in a patterned, aluminum and stainless steel body. It also includes a large, front-facing firing button which has a handy “locking switch,” to stop accidental firing.
The RDA that comes with the Athena has an exposed, postless build deck. Similar to that of the Dead Rabbit RDA by Hell vape, it’s a design that is gaining popularity amongst coil builders, and seems to be ideal for squonking. The RDA style can accommodate a variety of coil sizes and configurations and is easily adaptable to any vaping style.
Now that affordable squonk devices are popping up all over the place from manufacturers, it seems ‘squonking’ is really about to hit the mainstream. I must admit that prior to the recent fluffy of devices I was reluctant to spend my money on a device to give it a try. However, with GeekVapes Athena at a mid-range price point, it looks like a worthy contender in the burgeoning squonk wars.
I honestly can’t wait to get squonking with GeekVapes latest release.
