The Geekvape Wenax H1 is the latest entry into the Wenax family from Geekvape. A range that is often found in our best pod vapes lists.
The H1 attempts to step things up with an in-built 1000mAh battery, chargeable via USB-C.
It also comes with 3 adjustable power settings and manual and auto-draw firing. The airflow is not adjustable, but it is tailored to MTL vaping.
The H1 comes with 2.5ml capacity pods that utilize mesh coils in 0.7Ω or 1.4Ω resistance.
The Geekvape Wenax H1 is available in 12 colors Black, gunmetal, red, blue, space grey, lavender, violet, and lime green.
The Good
Excellent build quality, sleek & elegant design, three power settings, smooth MTL airflow, great battery life, exceptional flavor from both pods, and a good lifespan.

The Bottom Line
Pod systems have come a long way in the last few years, and the Wenax H1 might just be the pinnacle. It has an elegant compact design, with good features like three different power levels. However, most importantly, it delivers an outstanding vape experience from both mesh coiled pods, with exceptional flavor. The pods also have a good lifespan, and the H1 device has great battery life – highly recommended.

Design & Style
The design and form factor of the H1 is very similar to most pod vapes, with a touch of Wenax styling.
It measures 113 mm x 22 mm x 13 mm and is somewhat flatter than other Wenax pod systems. However, it is still compact and lightweight and only weighs 43g, which is impressive considering it houses a 1000mAh battery.
I like that Geekvape always keeps the branding to a minimum with the Wenax’s, and it’s no different with the H1. It’s an immaculate and elegant device. It comes in so many different colors that I’m sure most will find something that suits them.
The ‘Blue’ variant we have for review has a nice metallic finish to it, which stays clean from fingerprints and is pleasant to touch. However, I’m not sure if that’s the case with all the colors, as some appear a little more glossy.
I especially like the rubberized bottom of the device that surrounds the USB-C port. It makes it soft to place on hard surfaces and adds a little protection and styling.
The fire button on the device also has a lovely textured pattern and protrudes just the right amount. It’s also very responsive, with a good amount of clickiness to it.
The LED light is simple and non-obtrusive, sitting just below the fire button.
Overall the design of the Wenax H1 is very sleek and simple. In addition, it comes with excellent build quality that we’ve come to expect from the Wenax line from Geekvape.
Features
The Wenax H1 comes with an internal 1000mAh battery that can be recharged via USB Type C.
There is no USB C cable included in the kit to keep costs down. However, any standard USB C cable will work and can charge the device from flat in approximately 60 minutes.
The Wenax H1 has an LED indicator light on the front of the device that shows the battery status (while charging & using the device) with the following three levels:
- Green = 70-100%
- Blue = 31-69%
- Red = 0-30%
The Wenax H1 also features three adjustable power settings, which some other Wenax devices lack.
The power setting can be changed easily on the device with 3 clicks (see operating below), ad the level set is shown by the color of the LED status light:
- White = Low Power
- Blue = Medium Power
- Green = High Power
There’s nothing in the manual to show what the power output or wattage is for each. Still, I guess it varies depending on the resistance of the pod attached.
Operating the Wenax H1 couldn’t be any simpler:
- On/Off = 5 clicks of the fire button
- Change Power Output = 3 clicks of the fire button (will scroll through power levels)
- Lock Fire Button (only auto draw) = 5 clicks of the fire button when device is on.
H1 Pods
The H1 pods have a 2.5ml e-juice capacity, and two are included in the kit.
It features a standard side fill method with a rubber plug. While it’s not the most modern filling method, the plug is nice and large and is easy to unplug and replace.
The pods are also slightly tinted, which keeps the device’s aesthetic looking good, but still allows you to see your juice level. However, when you get very low on juice, you must tilt the device to see the remaining amount (as it sits recessed into the device).
The H1 pods come in two different resistances, and there is one of each in the kit:
- 0.7Ω (16-19 watts)
- 1.4Ω (8-10 watts)
Geekvape also has a built-in five-layer structure at the pods’ base to prevent any leaking. So I can safely say it works, as I had no issues whatsoever during my whole time using the Wenax H1.
Performance
I’m generally critical of any pod system that doesn’t come with some form of adjustable airflow control.
However, somehow all of the Wenax devices seem to be spot on with the airflow for the type of pods they are using. The H1 is no different; it delivers an excellent medium MTL draw. I’d say it’s reasonably close to the draw produced by the Caliburn A2.
As for the performance produced from each of the pods, it’s equally as impressive.
The 0.7Ω mesh coil delivers an instant hit with perfect warm vapor production. The flavor is spot on and some of the best I’ve experienced in a pod system.
I mainly used freebase nicotine in this pod at 9mg, and the throat hit was also on point. I never felt the need to crank up the power, and it performed just how I like it on the medium setting. High power does give you a little more hit, so lower nicotine levels could benefit from it.
The 1.4Ω mesh coil also really surprised me. I’m used to seeing higher ohm MTL pods in the 1-1.2Ω range. So I was expecting the 1.4Ω to be a little lacking – that’s really not the case.
In fact, the flavor from the 1.4Ω mesh pod is just as impressive and very crisp and clean. It’s just a lot cooler than the lower resistance pod.
I tried this pod with both freebase and nicotine salt juice, and I feel it’s perfect for those high-strength salt nic mixes.
Again I found no real need to adjust the power, but it will help based on the nic strength you are using if you want more throat hit.
The power output of the H1 is also excellent as it’s regulated, so there is no drop in performance as the battery gets more depleted.
A fitting word to describe the Wenax H1 is ‘longevity.’
One of the most impressive aspects of this pod system is the battery life is great, especially with the 1.4Ω coil. So you can easily make it through a day or more of vaping.
However, equally as impressive is the lifespan of the coils in the pods. I’ve done around 6-7 refills on both pods, and they are still going strong with good flavor.
Overall I don’t see many flaws in the Wenax H1. It has great build quality and delivers an excellent smooth, flavorful draw. It works equally well with both coil resistances and has excellent battery life. Easily my favorite Wenax to date and one of the best pod vapes currently on the market.

Verdict
So many excellent pod systems have been released recently, all of which deliver a great experience.
Whether it’s any of the Wenax range, new Caliburn’s, or the Voopoo Vinci’s. They all will give you a great vape experience.
However, the Wenax H1 has just managed to edge that little bit further ahead with its whole package.
It has a sleek compact design, adjustable power settings, great battery life, and pod lifespan. But, most importantly, it delivers a fantastic flavorful draw from both of the included pods.
The Wenax H1 is now my go-to pod system – highly recommended.
