What is it?
The Geekvape Z MTL Tank is the newest addition to the “Z” or “Zeus” range of Geekvape tanks.
Over the years, there have been so many standout atomizers in the Zeus range were the Zeus RTA, Zeus Subohm Tank, and the recent Z RDA.
One of the most significant features of the entire Zeus range is they utilize a top airflow system. This helps to really reduce the chance of leaking but can still deliver great flavor.
The new Z MTL Tank also has this adjustable top airflow system. But as you could probably tell from the name, it is tailored more towards MTL (Mouth-to-Lung) vaping.
The Z MTL uses Geekvapes new ‘A Series’ range of coils. They include a 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω coil in the kit.
The style of the tank does have quite a rugged appearance to it. Only a small part of the glass is exposed to view your juice level, with a ‘Z’ shape cutout.
The tank also features a top-fill system, with the top cap unscrewing to reveal the fill ports.
The Geekvape Z MTL Tank is available in 6 colors Gunmetal, Rainbow, Stainless Steel, Black, Blue, and Gold.

Who is it for?
Vapers who want an MTL tank that uses stock coils. Also, those that prefer a leakproof design with top airflow.
Our Vibe
I’ve been a huge fan of the Zeus range of tanks from Geekvape over the years.
They usually deliver excellent airflow performance, especially for a top airflow system with DTL vaping.
I’m not entirely sure that top airflow will deliver quite the same results with an MTL style draw, as bottom airflow is traditionally best for tight MTL vaping.
That being said, the Intake MTL RTA by Augvape did an excellent job at delivering flavor from top airflow. So fingers crossed that Geekvape has got this one nailed.
Of course, it will also depend on the quality of the 0.8Ω and 1.2Ω coils.
As for the styling of the tank, it’s definitely not the most attractive.
The ‘Z’ branding feels a little unnecessary and makes it look like you’re vaping on some kind of ‘Zorro’ tank. It also makes it a lot harder to see your juice level.
I prefer my MTL tanks to be a bit more simplistic with the styling. But if it delivers a quality MTL vape, then I’m not complaining.
