Eleaf iStick Mix & Ello Pop Kit | Preview

The Eleaf iStick Mix Kit is the latest entry in the Eleaf iStick range. It comes in the form of the new iStick mix mod and the Ello Pop sub-ohm tank.

The iStick Mix mod is a dual 18650 device, capable of outputting 160W.

It comes with the latest Avatar chip inside, which features fast firing and balanced charging, along with variable wattage, TC and TCR settings.

Also much like the Eleaf Nowos, the iStick Mix uses a USB-C port for charging and is capable of charging at 2.5A.

The device has a familiar look to it, as we’ve seen many new devices with resin style side panels. However, the iStick Mix is just that, a ‘Mix.’ As one side has the resin finish, and the other has an IML (In-Mould Labelling) printed pattern finish.

It’s the resin panel side which acts as a battery door and is removable, so I’m assuming you can buy replacement doors and change the look of your device.

It also has a slight curve to the body of the device to make it comfortable to hold and to allow the 510 pin to be centered at the broadest part of the mod.

The Ello Pop tank that comes paired with the iStick Mix is much like the Ello tanks that have come before it and utilizes the Dual mesh HW-M2 and HW-N2 coils.

Eleaf claims these coils have LPSC technology, which stands for ‘Leak-Proof’ and ‘Self Cleaning.’ I get the leak-proof part of it, but not so sure about the self-cleaning.

The Ello Pop features a slide-to-fill system. However unlike previous versions of the Ello tank you have to lift the mechanism first, which acts as a safety feature. There’s also adjustable bottom airflow.

It comes with both a standard straight glass which has a 2ml capacity and a bubble glass with a 6.5ml capacity. The bubble glass has an interesting addition to it in the form of 3 protector bands that wrap around the center bulge of the glass to help protect against accidental breaks.

The Eleaf iStick Mix Kit is available in 5 colors/pattern mixes – Hell Witch, Seabed Snaker, Skyline Numen, Glary Night and Wind Ninja.

I’m a little surprised that Eleaf has gone down this route with their latest kit, following the paths of the Shogun, Drag, and Magma with the styling. They usually like to be a little more unique with their designs.

However, it does seem that Eleaf has managed to keep the mod nice and compact for a dual 18650. In my opinion, it looks a bit nicer than some of the others mentioned above also.

Eleaf’s Avatar chip has been excellent for performance, so no complaints there, and the inclusion of fast charging with USB-C is excellent.

As for the Ello Pop tank, it’s the version I’ve been waiting for. A more simple looking tank without all the garish knurling and the lift and push to fill mechanism is a welcome addition to prevent an accidental opens.

Eleaf’s Mesh coils where excellent when we reviewed them last, so there’s no doubting it’s going to be a great tank to come as part of a kit.

It looks like Eleaf might just have made another affordable and excellent dual 18650 kit!
