Kangertech IKEN Kit Intro
Kangertech, one of the vape industry pioneers, has been a little quiet lately. So it’s good to see them coming out with something a bit different which is good for vapers transitioning from simple starter kits. The IKEN Kit, their latest release focuses on mitigating common frustrations for vapers.
It has customizable functionality with different skill levels, which I’m not sure we’ve seen before, and is KangerTech’s attempt to appeal to the novice, intermediate and advanced vapers alike.

An innovative kit for all vapers?
The IKEN Kit consists of the powerful IKEN Box Mod, which contains a 5100 mAh internal battery, delivers a power output of 230 watts, and comes paired with the innovative IKEN tank.
The mod itself is housed in curved zinc-alloy chassis, which features a large, front-facing TFT color LCD display screen. The IKEN mod also includes a 510 connector that is compatible with atomizer up to 25 mm in diameter, and with pins of up to 7 mm in length.
The IKEN Tank features a stainless-steel body which Kangertech claim is a 100% leak-proof design, which has been extensively tested in over 500 independent tests. The tank itself measures in at 24 mm x 36 mm.
The tank design features “U” airflow technology, where airflow enters the chamber via two adjustable air intakes at the top and is channeled down the sides and around the coils in a “U” shape. Supposedly, this design helps produce a more intense flavor and massive greater production.
The IKEN mod includes the usual operating modes; power, temperature control and TCR mode. However, it is the incorporation of a new setting they call “skill mode,” which really sets this mod apart. It allows the user to choose their own operating mode from either “beginner,” “intermediate” or “expert,” which gives them access to either more advance or simplistic settings. This ranges from simple wattage mode with no other settings to get in the way, all the way to custom pre-heat curves in both TC and Wattage for the more experienced vapers.
It’s quite a radical vape setup by Kangertech, which is designed to be ‘one size fits all’ kit. We think this could be a mainstream hit, with its intuitive design, as long as the price point and build quality are right.
So the Kangertech IKEN kit is a starter kit which aims to meet you at your level, and go beyond – and we are excited to try our skills out on all modes.
