The Uwell Popreel N1 Pod Kit is a stripped-back version of the popular Caliburn’s. Its super simple design is aimed at those who use Disposable Vapes.
There’s no denying that Uwell has been knocking it out of the park with their Caliburn range. Starting with the Caliburn, Caliburn G, Caliburn A2, Caliburn AK2, and more recently, the Caliburn G2.
All of which have been excellent pod devices and found their way onto our Best Vapes list in some form.
Is the Uwell Popreel N1 a simplified Caliburn?
Yes, and No.
It doesn’t share the same name as the Caliburn’s and utilizes different style pods to the A2, so it is different. However, I’m sure it will be closely aligned with Uwells’ successful range when it comes to performance.
The Popreel N1 comes with a 520mAh internal battery that can be charged via USB Type C with a 1A charge rate.
The device has a scratch-resistant design with a diamond finish pattern and is lightweight, coming in at only 27g.
It has a 10W max output and uses a 2ml refillable pod that contains a fixed coil, so the whole pod is replaceable. The pods have a port on the side for refilling.
It comes with one pod in the kit, which is a 1.2Ω UN2 Meshed-H pod. It is also cross-compatible with the Uwell Yearn Neat 2 pods.
The pods connect to the device through magnets and are transparent so that you can see your liquid levels at all times.
There is a ‘V-shaped’ LED light on the front of the Popreel to show the device and battery status.
The Popreel N1 has no firing buttons and operates solely through ‘Auto-Draw’ activation.
The Popreel N1 Pod Kit is available in 6 color options: Matte Black, Pearl White, Champagne, Forest Green, Coral Red, and Calm Blue.

Who is it for?
Vapers who want a compact and straightforward pod system, something more cost-effective than a disposable vape.
Our Vibe
The Popreel by Uwell is an interesting little pod kit and not one I saw coming.
It also has a rather bizarre name that makes no sense to me. I know it doesn’t use the same pods/coils as a Caliburn, but the name Caliburn ‘light’ might have been more fitting.
Uwell already has an excellent pod system that takes replaceable pods, and it’s one of the best around the Caliburn A2. So why release another similar pod?
It’s pretty clear they are going after the disposable vape pen market, not just through the simplification of the device. But the fact it only comes with one pod in the kit and no charging cable.
This is something I usually frown upon with starter kits but will no doubt make it a much more affordable proposition than the Caliburn’s.
If past experience is anything to go by, I’m sure the Popreel will have an excellent auto-draw and top-notch performance. We’ll have to wait until we get our hands on one and see how it stacks up to the competition.
