The Posh Max 2.0 is the latest Posh disposable vape line edition.
As with previous Posh models, it’s an all-in-one disposable vaping device requiring no maintenance or charging.
The Max 2.0 features upgraded aesthetics with a sleek, box-style design.
It has a 650mAh battery that delivers around 5000 puffs and charges via USB-C.
It comes as a nicotine-free disposable with 0% (that we have for review). But is also available with 5% (50mg) nicotine salts.
The Posh Max 2.0 aims to appeal to vapers seeking a convenient disposable option. Its updated design certainly gives it more visual flair than previous Posh models. There are over 20 flavors in the Posh Max 2.0 range. (see below)
Design & Build Quality
The Posh Max 2.0 is an upgrade when it comes to aesthetics over previous versions.
The Max 2.0 has a two-tone plastic shell with a color gradient fading to black. The plastic doesn’t feel as premium as some competitors’ rubberized finish, but it still seems durable enough.
In the hand, the device is lightweight and comfortable to hold. The rounded edges nestle nicely in your palm. However, the shiny finish does make it feel a bit slippery.
The Max 2.0 vape is about the same width and thickness as the popular BC5000 by EB Design (Elf Bar) but stands about 1cm taller.
The mouthpiece is perfectly circular rather than oval. While this looks sleek, it also doesn’t conform to the shape of your lips. You get some air leakage out the sides of your mouth when inhaling.
However, some may prefer this style of mouthpiece for MTL vaping.
The Max 2.0 lights up around the entire base when firing. It looks cool but isn’t very discreet. Stealth vapers may want to cup their hand around the bottom.
The USB-C charging port sits flush with the base. I’d prefer to have seen it slightly recessed to protect it when being placed down.
Charging is quick, reviving the battery from dead in under an hour.
Overall, the Max 2.0 hasn’t done anything remarkable with the design, as it looks similar to other box-style disposables in this range.
However, I do appreciate the improvements over the previous models, and I like the black gradient styling. It looks a little more sophisticated than most.
Blue B Ice
The Blue B Ice flavor combines blueberry and cooling sensations for a pleasant vaping experience.
The blueberry taste is mild and not overpowering, letting the berry sweetness shine through subtly. It reminds me of picking fresh blueberries on a summer morning.
While many ice flavors overdo the cooling effect, Blue B Ice exercises restraint. There’s just a hint of chill on the draw and exhale. It adds nice contrast without numbing the taste buds. The blueberry remains the star of the show.
In the aftertaste, I get lovely blueberry remnants with the faintest minty tingle. This cooling effect is so subtle it almost seems like an afterthought. But it rounds out the flavor nicely.
Overall, Blue B Ice strikes a harmonious balance between the blueberry and cooling elements.
Blue Raspberry Ice
Blue Raspberry delivers an enjoyable candy-like raspberry flavor. It certainly captures the essence of raspberry but leans heavily towards the candy side.
The richness of the raspberry comes through strongly on the inhale and exhale. There’s a nice sweetness present that raspberry fans are sure to appreciate.
What I like is that it doesn’t overwhelm the taste buds. The sweetness comes across as pleasant rather than overbearing. There’s no harsh or artificial aftertaste either.
This misses the mark for vapers seeking an authentic Blue Raspberry. But if you have a sweet tooth that craves candy flavors, it will satisfy the craving.
I’m a bit let down by the Strawberry flavor, which fails to deliver that authentic, fresh strawberry taste. While pleasant, the strawberry notes are very subtle rather than pronounced.
On the inhale, I get hints of sweetness that may be Strawberry but could as easily be generic red berry. The exhale is similar, with any strawberry essence fleeting at best. It lacks the natural strawberry complexity.
In terms of sweetness, this is on the tamer side. It finishes cleanly without any harsh chemical aftertaste, which is nice. But the strawberry profile needs more oomph.
Vapers seeking a genuinely robust and authentic strawberry flavor may want to look elsewhere. However, this could appeal to those looking for only faint strawberry essence in their vape.
Now the Watermelon flavor is an absolute delight for watermelon lovers like myself. It authentically captures the juicy, refreshing taste of fresh Watermelon.
The inhale and exhale deliver wonderfully bright, crisp watermelon essence. I feel instantly transported to memories of sitting out on the porch on a hot summer day, enjoying chilled watermelon slices.
I appreciate how it balances the melon’s natural sweetness with subtle undertones of tartness. This nuance adds depth and realism to the flavor. The finish is cool, clean, and purely Watermelon.
This flavor is sure to satisfy vapers craving a genuine and delicious watermelon experience.
The Grape Ice flavor delivers an enjoyable grape vaping experience coupled with a cooling effect. The Grape flavor has depth and authenticity, hitting the right sweet and tart grape notes.
I get sweet grape essence on the inhale, like fresh-picked grapes off the vine. The exhale provides delicious grape juice flavors with a tart edge. It walks the line beautifully between candy-like and natural grape taste.
While the name implies a strong cooling element, the “ice” effect is subtle. It adds a gentle chill on the finish that accentuates the grape nicely. The cooling never overpowers the robust grape profile.
For those seeking a flavor that captures the delicious taste of grapes with a refreshing twist, Grape Ice hits the mark wonderfully. The balance of bold grape and gentle coolness creates a satisfying blend.
The Kiwi Strawberry Ice flavor combines Kiwi and Strawberry for a pleasant and fruity vape. However, the Kiwi flavor takes center stage here while the Strawberry plays a supporting role.
Tart and tangy Kiwi immediately pops through on the inhale, delivering that familiar fuzzy Kiwi taste. The Strawberry mixes in, adding some sweetness to offset the Kiwi. But the Kiwi dominates the profile.
On the exhale, the cooling effect provides a nice accent to the predominant Kiwi flavors. It delivers a refreshing chill that works well with the Kiwi tartness. The Strawberry remains in the background.
Vapers seeking a refreshing Kiwi-forward vape will be sure to enjoy this tasty blend and cooling effect.
While I’m usually not a mint fan, the Mint Ice flavor surprised me with its enjoyable cooling mintiness.
The mint flavor is present but understated, providing a gentle mint essence rather than anything harsh or overwhelming.
On the draw, I taste soothing notes of peppermint and spearmint. It’s more cooling than mint on the inhale. The exhale brings bolder mint, but still smooth and mellow. There’s no abrasive chemical mint aftertaste.
The cooling effect is truly refreshing with this one, leaving a pleasant chilled sensation.
Mint Ice hits the spot delicately for vapers seeking a mild mint kick and breath-freshening coolness.
After testing out all the flavors, I’m somewhat underwhelmed by the overall performance of the Posh Max 2.0.
While not bad, it falls short of impressing me as much as some competing disposables.
Starting with the flavor quality, most are pleasant but generally subtle rather than robust. The flavors come through lightly rather than the punch-you-in-the-face flavor I’m accustomed to from other disposables.
Watermelon is the exception, delivering wonderfully authentic juicy flavor.
The “ice” flavors also miss the mark on cooling power. The cooling is delicate rather than providing a real ice punch. These won’t deliver much if you’re seeking that freezing-cold vape feel.
I think that’s important to note. These are nicotine-free disposables, so they need that extra flavor and cooling to deliver that throat hit you typically get from nicotine.
I’m unsure if that will be the case with the 5% (50mg) versions, but sadly I didn’t have those for comparison.
Draw activation works consistently with no issues. And vapor production is ample and comparable to other disposables.
However, comparing the airflow with other zero-nicotine disposables, it definitely falls on the loose side. It is not as tight as the Elf Bar or Melody Max Pro. With no airflow control, you get what you get.
I’m also not a massive fan of the rounded mouthpiece. I think it leads to some air leakage and makes the draw experience less satisfying.
Battery life delivered on the promised 5000 or so puffs before needing a recharge. But flavor intensity seemed to wane a bit as the battery drained. Performance remained consistent otherwise.
Overall, the Posh Max 2.0 falls a bit average for me. Aside from strong flavors like Watermelon and Grape Ice, most are muted. And the airflow and cooling effects leave room for improvement.
In the end, I have somewhat mixed feelings about the Posh Max 2.0 after extensively testing it.
The slick new aesthetics are an improvement over earlier Posh models. But where it counts – flavor and performance – it fails to fully impress.
From the flavors I tested, most generally come across as pleasant yet subtle. Only a couple, like Watermelon and Grape Ice, truly stood out with authentic flavor. Most left me wanting bolder, more accurate taste.
However, this might not be the case with the whole range or the 5% nicotine versions.
Performance is decent but average. The draw and airflow feel a bit airy for a true MTL. Cooling effects on the “ice” flavors are delicate. And flavor intensity tapered off as the battery depleted.
For new vapers or those seeking a basic disposable device, the Max 2.0 will get the job done.
It’s easy to use and provides an adequate vaping experience. But more discerning vapers may be left desiring stronger, longer-lasting flavor and a more satisfying draw.
The Posh Max 2.0 doesn’t differentiate itself enough in the crowded disposable vape market. While not a bad device, it lacks the wow factor to unseat category leaders like the Elf Bar. For better flavor and performance, I’d recommend exploring other options.
