Vandy Vape Widowmaker RDA Intro
Vandy Vape has teamed up with a popular Spanish YouTube reviewer “El Mono Vapeador” to create their latest release, the Widowmaker RDA.
What is it?
The Widowmaker is a 24mm RDA that can be used in both dual coil and single coil configurations.
El Mono Vapeador and Vandy Vape have taken an offbeat route to make this RDA super versatile when it comes to airflow options. It comes with three interchangeable airflow rings and two different top caps and drip tips.
This means you can assemble the Widowmaker RDA to suit your vaping style. In fact, by using the various rings and caps you have up to 6 different combinations.
The first of the airflow rings features a honeycomb style pattern like that of the Bonza RDA, just higher up the chamber. The second is a circular inlet, and the third is a more traditional cyclops style slot.
All of the airflows are fully adjustable and sit above the build deck, with an airflow channel that targets the airflow towards the base of your coils. This also makes the Widowmaker an excellent RDA for squonking with little chance of leaking.
The Widowmaker has a drop-in style build deck with four posts with Allen or Philips head screws to clamp down your coil legs.
It is available in 5 different colors: Matte Black, Stainless Steel, Gold, Gun Metal and 7-Colour (rainbow).
Who is it for?
Those that like a versatile RDA, especially when it comes to airflow. It looks like it will be capable of providing anything from a restricted to fully open direct to lung airflow, so could suit many vapers.
Our Vibe
The Widowmaker RDA looks like it has all the makings of another excellent dual coil RDA, that could possibly rival the likes of the Drop Dead.
I’m not sure it’s going to be the greatest for a single coil experience, but the fact that you have so many airflow options really does make it a super versatile RDA.
We will have to wait to see just how varied the vape performance is going to be from each of those airflow rings, along with how much flavor the Widowmaker can produce.
It looks like the build deck has a little less room than something like the Drop Dead, because of the airflow inlets. However, that does bring with it a major plus of being pretty leak resistant.
It may not be a completely innovative design, but it’s certainly one we are eager to get our hands on and give a spin.
