Dinner Lady E-Liquids

Dinner Lady E-liquid took the vaping industry by storm with their slick marketing and popular traditional English flavors. Now they are back with a new line up.

1Intro

I have to be honest and say I wasn’t completely in agreement with the rest of the Vaping Vibe team when we voted for the best bakery/dessert flavors for our Best E-liquid Vapes page. I only really enjoyed their Lemon Tart flavor as a dessert e-liquid. So that’s why this review is down to me. I’m hoping their new ‘Aroma’ line live up to expectation…..Let’s find out.

Disclaimer: Your take on these flavors may differ from ours. Opinion and taste are subjective!

2Let’s taste that juice

The Set Up

I vaped all the Dinner Lady juices on a collection of atomizers, using SS316 in both watts and TC mode. The weapons of choice were the trusted Serpent SMM, the Digiflavor Siren 2 and the Hellvape Dead Rabbit RDA, all sitting on top the Voopoo Drag.

Mango Tart [New]

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Mango Tart Review

Dinner Lady say: The finest mangoes smothered in luscious cream, beautifully balanced with a shortbread crust. Go on, treat your taste buds.

Our Vibe: Mango can be a tricky flavor to get right in an e-liquid; there are a lot of dreadful mango ejuices out there that are either overly sweet or just smell and taste like sweaty feet. Dinner Lady has managed to get the mango just right on this one; it comes through like a genuine mango juice smoothed through with a very subtle hint of cream. The pastry is less present than some of their other liquids, but you do still get the crumbly undertone of the tart on the exhale. In my opinion, this makes for an easier all day vape, and although Mango tart is a less conventional mix, I think it edges out some of it’s tart siblings in this line.

Berry Tart [New]

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Berry Tart Review

Dinner Lady say: Crumbly crust, light creamy filling with a vibrant, sweet and tangy topping of fresh raspberries and blueberries. An absolute berry – dazzler of a tart!

Our Vibe: I thought this juice was going to be too similar to the Blackberry Crumble; even the smell shares a sparkling resemblance. However, its far more subtle and tastes like an entirely different juice. The raspberries and blueberries come through the berry mix more sweet than bitter, but still possess a nice little twang. The pastry tart is a constant undertone, but less present than the crumble on the Blackberry Crumble, which again makes for a more palatable pleasant vape. It’s exactly like a warmly cooked berry tart and is now my favorite of the entire Dinner Lady line.

Orange Tart

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Orange Tart Review

Dinner Lady say: A creamy zesty orange base on a bed of sweet pastry, with a subtle hint of biscuit crunch.

Our Vibe: I was expecting this to be just an orange version of the incredibly popular Lemon Tart, but it’s not. I may even surprise some Dinner Lady fans here and say I think it’s even better. Orange is not a flavor that usually goes down well in e-liquids, but they seemed to have nailed this one. It’s a sweet orange wrapped in creamy goodness with just a slight hint of pastry. It definitely lacks some of the bakery taste of the Lemon Tart, but that’s a good thing as it makes it a creamier and lighter vape. So much so that before I knew it I had finished the whole 30ml bottle. I don’t usually have dessert flavors as my ADV, but that might be about to change.

Blackberry Crumble

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Blackberry Crumble Review

Dinner Lady say: Warm British blackberries topped with a crispy, buttery crumble.

Our Vibe: A blackberry flavored e-juice probably wouldn’t be top of my fruit list, due to them usually coming out a bit too bitter. So I was intrigued to see what Dinner Lady had baked up here. All I can say is ‘oooh sweet, sweet crumble!’ I’m not quite sure how they’ve managed it, but the crumble really is a sugary sweet crumble, not a plain pastry or graham cracker taste. It’s like you can actually taste the crumbs in your mouth. The blackberry is sweet with a little tartness to it but is perfectly balanced. This is definitely more of a crumble vape with the sharpness of the blackberry coming through only on the exhale. This is probably my pick of the bunch…..it’s just sweet, crumbly bakery goodness.

Apple Pie

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Apple Pie Review

Dinner Lady say: Fresh apples mixed with a perfect blend of caramelized brown sugar, with a hint of cinnamon.

Our Vibe: Although this was my least favorite of the 3 new flavors, it’s still a nice juice, but there is just something about baked apples that is warming to the soul. It’s just pure comfort food, and this is a comforting vape. On the inhale you get the unmistakable and prominent taste of baked apples with a delicate sprinkle of cinnamon. I’ve had other apple pie e-liquids before, but the apple taste has not been as accurate as this baked apple. The buttery pastry taste comes through on the exhale, and it’s actually not too overpowering you still get some of the apple shining through. If you like apple pie vapes, this will definitely be one for you.

Lemon Tart

Dinner Lady E-Liquids Lemon Tart Review

Dinner Lady say: Tangy lemon curd lavished over gooey meringue, and finally enveloped in delicious thin crust pastry. This is a luxurious pudding that’s so good seconds won’t be enough!

Our Vibe: This is probably the juice that put Dinner Lady on the map, and it’s not hard to tell why. The authentic taste of the pastry is honest, and the citrus is absolutely spot on – it is just like eating a citrus tart. The lemon is not too sharp but is the dominant flavor on the inhale, wrapped up by the crusty pastry goodness on the exhale. In all, it is not as punchy and sweet as you might imagine, but that makes it a treat to vape on all day without becoming overwhelmed. This is one of my go-to juices.

3Verdict

Ok, so I’ve been completely won over. I stand by what I said at the top of this review; I wasn’t entirely enthused by all of the previous Dinner Lady line. They were good e-liquids, I just didn’t rate them as highly as the rest of the team. However, this for me is true English dessert e-liquids at their best…..and I agree, they now deserve their place at the top of our list.

Also, it’s clear why they have called the line ‘Aroma,’ as soon as you open the bottles it’s as if you’re transported back to your Granny’s kitchen with the pleasant smell of baked lusciousness.

If my old school dinner ladies ever made desserts that tasted this good, I’m sure I’d be about 3 stone heavier! They are an impressive collection of bakery e-liquids, and it seems Dinner Lady have upped their game to dominate this category.
