The large window to the pod features a minimum level mark. This is a subtle yet effective feature that further streamlines the device. Uwell Caliburn AK3 does not come with buttons, which might deter some of the more advanced MTL vapers who want to experiment with customization options.
Refilling the pod is easy. Just remove the mouthpiece and fill up the pod! The top-fill design makes spills a thing of the past. Unfortunately, Uwell Caliburn AK3 is not compatible with any other pods from Caliburn. In this day and age, we would expect a big manufacturer like Caliburn to make a device that accommodates other pods.
We love the interactive LED light display. Not only is it a visual representation of the remaining battery, but it also adds a pop of color to an otherwise featureless device. The light shines green for 60 to 100% battery, blue for 30 to 60% battery, and red for anything less than 30%. You can even turn the light display off for a more conspicuous vape experience.
The lanyard is a nice addition to an already portable, easy-to-use device. I wear mine around my neck, but you could just as easily loop the lanyard around your wrist or connect it to your bag.
Ultimately, this pod system caters to people who want style and convenience. Caliburn has not reinvented the wheel, but it has created a crowd-pleaser that appeals to a wide audience of new and dedicated MTL vapers.
