Lost Vape Q-Ultra | Preview

The Lost Vape Q-Ultra is the latest in the ever growing Orion pod mod range.

There have been so many Orion variants, with and without a DNA board, that I’ve almost lost count.

So far, we have had the Orion DNA Go, Orion Quest, Orion DNA Plus, and the Orion Q Pro.

However, I think it’s safe to say they are all quite similar in their offerings. Thankfully the new Q-Ultra brings more significant changes.

The first significant difference you’ll notice with the Q-Ultra is that it comes with a 0.69in OLED screen – the first Orion with a display.

There’s no DNA chipset, but it has a variable output between 5-40W, which can be easily adjusted using the + and – buttons.

Another change is with the charging port and battery capacity. It now offers a 1600mAh internal battery, which can be fully charged in 70 minutes using the USB type C port.

The design of the pods for the Q-ultra is very similar in design to its predecessors, with a top airflow adjustment and top fill via a screw off cap.

The Q-Ultra pod has a 4ml capacity, with 2ml in TPD regulated areas.

The pods can only be used with the new “Ultra Boost” coil range. There are three different coil types and a rebuildable RBA head on offer:

• Ultra Boost M1 coil – 0.3ohm Mesh 30-40W
• Ultra Boost M2 coil – 0.6ohm Mesh 20-28W (Included in kit)
• Ultra Boost MTL coil – 1ohm 8-15W (Included in kit)
• RBA coil (include accessories bag)

The pods and coils will not be cross-compatible with other Orion devices.

The Orion Q-Ultra is available in 6 different colors: Carbon Fibre Black, Linen Grey, Marble White, Nebula Purple, Exotic Fantasy and Leather Back.

Finally, this is the Orion I’ve been waiting for!

Not so much the OLED screen, although that is a welcome addition. But an Orion that offers diverse coils and a fully rebuildable RBA coil head.

We’ll have to wait and see just how good the RBA head performs in DTL and MTL modes, and whether it’s easy to build on. Nevertheless, I’m glad that Lost Vape has followed others with a fully customizable AIO kit.

It’s a shame Lost Vape does not include the RBA head in the kit. Hopefully, they’ll release it at the same time as the kit (unlike other manufacturers).

I also like the fact the Q-Ultra comes with a 1600mAh battery and USB-C charging, again keeping up with the times.

As for the rest of the Orion Q-Ultra design, you know it’s going to come with exceptional build quality – this is definitely one to look out for.
