Vandy Vape Pulse 80W BF Squonk Box Mod Intro
Vandy Vape has announced that the Vandy Vape Pulse BF Squonk is no longer a mechanical squonk. We’ll almost, there is a newer regulated version with one of the best non-DNA chips on the market, the Vandy Vape Pulse BF 80W with Gene chip mod.
What Is it?
It’s exciting. It’s regulated. It’s a squonk box. Its the highly rated Vandy Vape BF Squonk Mod with a Gene Chip which is used in the popular Voopoo devices such as the Drag and the Alpha One.
Its named simply Vandy Vape Pulse 80W BF Squonk Box Mod with Gene Chip, well… not that simple but the clue is in the title in that it will only output up to 80W.
The battery choice includes a 20700 battery or with the included adaptor a 18650, but not a 21700 battery.
The Gene chip will allow the mod to have both Variable Wattage and Temperature Control modes, and boasts almost instant firing.
Panels are resin or carbon fiber and will be swappable like the original Pulse BF Squonk. Sizing is different so you can’t use the original panels. As It’s bigger than the original, and according to Tony B, a 24mm diameter tank will fit without overhang.
There is also a re-design of the squonk bottle connection to help prevent our biggest gripe, squeezing the bottle as you remove/replace it into the mod and making a mess of your e-juice.
Who is it for?
Perfect for those looking to get into squonking that are worried about safety of mechanical mods and ohms law. Also for those that like to use Temp Control.

Our Vibe
There aren’t many regulated squonk mods on the market. We think there should be more so this is excellent news. Even better, this is a variation of our best squonk mod the original Vandy Vape Pulse BF.
It seems that Vandy Vape and Tony B the designer haven’t just thrown this one together. They’ve cleverly chosen the Gene Chip, it’s quite a DNA, but it is the best performing non-DNA and doesn’t come with a price tag to fall into our High-End Regulated Squonk Mods. They have moved away from the transparent panels (I was never a fan as it wasn’t a fabulous view if the internals) and they have addressed the squirt as you insert issue of the squonk bottle (we hope, lets not be too premature and wait to see).
On paper, this is a winner. Improving on an already top device with some key elements and at the same time keeping the price affordable. I couldn’t wait to finish this preview, mines already on pre-order!
